It doesn't sound like they received a regular BL invoice. They mentioned
a payment request, which come directly from PayPal. Shady seller.

And this big wall of text on the BrickLink invoices:

'Message from BrickLink:

This message is to guide you through the payment process for BrickLink Order
#xxxx. In the rare case that Seller provides different off-site payment instructions
below, we would like to advise you to submit payment using the PAY NOW button
on the Order Details page. This is because any payments made using other methods
may result in an improper transaction where tax is not paid to the state. Thank
you, and we appreciate your continued support.

To submit payment for this order, click on the PAY NOW button on the order details
page.'

I think you can also report the store to PayPal for misusing friends and family
payments (call them directly). I don't know if BL would be interested in
knowing this, as it could reflect poorly on them as a 'safe' marketplace.

Regardless, they must have stock on hand. This is a violation of BL's policy
and can be reported. Also, file a NSS immediately.

Your store is regularly priced at $4500.

That's is less than a 9% discount. I cannot imagine many sellers saying
no to a full store selloff at 91% of their asking prices. AND there's probably
never been a buyer stupid enough to make that offer. A $4100 budget for Lego
is pretty decent buyer power.

In Selling, Brickbrothers06 writes:

Awesome!

I have been wanting one for my collection too, but I just cannot justify the
price for a single figure. I hope that I will eventually find these books at

It looks much like the original except for the trees, which seem lacking. They
even retained the block walls made out of Thor's hammers.

Barracuda bay was a complete disrespect to the 'idea' (though perfect
as an original Lego design).

The extra tiles makes some sense to use with the big road plate. I think it
is the only set that uses a tile on top to indicate a road line. The rest have
printed 2x4 tiles.

In General, StormChaser writes:
I opened a new set and discovered three quality control issues.

1. Two of these tiles are counted in the parts count and listed in the
parts list:

Part No: 87079 Name: Tile 2 x 4
*
87079 Tile 2 x 4
Parts: Tile {Dark Bluish Gray}

However, they are never used in the set anywhere. I went through the instructions
booklets several times.

2. The set uses three of these:

Part No: 73109 Name: Technic, Brick Modified 1 x 2 with Hole and 1 x 2 Plate
*
73109 Technic, Brick Modified 1 x 2 with Hole and 1 x 2 Plate
Parts: Technic, Brick {Light Bluish Gray}

and four of these:

Part No: 4488 Name: Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Wheel Holder
*
4488 Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Wheel Holder
Parts: Plate, Modified {Black}

However, my set only had two of the first part. But it had five
of the second. Not sure how such an error could have occurred.

3. Finally, this part was warped at the handle (it would not fit on the
helicopter properly):

Part No: 23448 Name: Windscreen 8 x 4 x 2 Curved with Bar Handle
*
23448 Windscreen 8 x 4 x 2 Curved with Bar Handle
Parts: Windscreen {Trans-Light Blue}

I've attached photos. One or two issues I could understand, but three quality
control issues deserves a forum post.

It's $240. Do you honestly believe the police will pursue a "possible"
international case of fraud for such a low amount? For all you know the package
is simply delayed to to holiday gift giving backlog of mail / customs.

All it takes is 3 NSS, yet the store is still open despite the fb complaints.

240€ is a lot of money, I would go to the police in that case.
Do you have a tracking number?

No, too big and too expensive. My ideal pricing for large sets is about $200-250.
Occasionally, I will buy a $300-400 model like the Diagon Alley or Lion Castle.

There are valid reasons for why using the shopping cart works better (IMO) even
at an extra cost of 3%. I cannot speak to why someone would think it was a good
idea to fluff their FB score.

The more I think about this, the more it does not pass the smell test.

Why would you pay 2 marketplace fees? Is it not easier to just update you inventory
manually?

I am still looking for a USA trading partner or a few. I have what is
listed in my store, plus some other misc. figs and sets. Password to browse:
shop56218

The pricing in my store may be off of avg., but I am happy to negotiate pricing
to create fair trades.

I have these sealed, but not listed:
2x Technic Concrete Truck 42112
1x Star Wars D-O 75278

Looking for sets per this post:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1366660

Or parts to build another castle project or two (examples below):

200x LBG Brick 1x1 3005
200x LBG Brick 1x2 3004
150x LBG Brick 1x3 3623
150x LBG Brick 1x4 3010
100x LBG Brick 1x6 3009
50x LBG Brick 1x8 3008
100x LBG Brick Mod. 1x4 w/ masonry profile

+ lots of misc. basic and modified bricks, plates, and slopes. I would prefer
to do trades of at least $25 due to the high cost of shipping.

P.S.
Of course I would be thrilled to trade for a 10305 castle (w/ or w/o figures
& animals).

My next castle project is probably this, once I source more parts:

I have had two people contact me unable to purchase an item as my shipping size/weight

I have adjusted my shipping to larger size, but it has not made a difference.

The first item was the roller coaster, so a large and heavy box, but the next
time it is the haunted house, which is not as large or heavy.

For what it is worth, nearly every large set that I buy direct from Lego comes
in a damaged box. Even my Lion Knights Castle 10305.

I don't leave a negative review somewhere on the internet for Lego every
time this happens, but I am still not happy about it.

Those are not the site's terms, it is the help center. These are the ToS:

https://www.bricklink.com/v3/terms_of_service.page

I thought the help center was simply intended as a guide and to prevent an influx
of easily answered questions.

Also, BL doesn't seem to have effective staffing for responding to messages,
but they can take the time to needlessly delete listings. What's up with
their priorities?

I think (not 100% certain) that all of the BL projects may have reached 10,000
votes but were not selected on Lego Ideas.

This last selection process on BL was broken down into 3 separate groups with
different projects. The projects produced were determined by reaching a specific
# of preorders. All were likely sold out (preordered) rather quickly.

BL is not very good with communication, so following other Lego fan sites is
better to stay informed. I don't know if/when there will be another BL designer
selection.

In Buying, Jailman writes:
  Hello everyone,
I am relatively new to Bricklink and I need any help you can give me. I found
my way to the voting of projects created by AFOL’s and I see where the key is
to reach 10,000 votes to move to the next level. Does this continue through round
3.
Once round three is awarded, 13 sets are allowed to be pre-ordered. Does Bricklink
announce when the Pre-orders are open for buying.
The next question: Does any one know when (approximately) how long it will take
to reach the next Pre-order opportunity.
I realize I am asking questions that are common and elementary to most of you
on the forum, however I would really appreciate any help, links or direction
you can give.
Thanks to all. Be well and safe.

I've been moving along at a slow but steady pace on this project for just
over a month now. I probably place between 30-100 pieces per building period,
due to the constant need to reexamine pictures and search for and/or buy parts.

I only knew about V1 when I first started, but later found V2. So my build is
V2 in V1 orientation (with some necessary color changes due to availability).

Links to poVoq's models (these are NOT mine and I am free building strictly
from photos):

V1: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a2bb5e22-b2bd-46b4-b4cd-ad8c9a6b89dd
V2: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a13ec681-7424-4d41-bd58-bb5e30f69c65

Set No: 910001 Name: Castle in the Forest
*
910001-1 (Inv) Castle in the Forest
1928 Parts, 6 Minifigures, 1 Gear, 2021
Sets: BrickLink Designer Program

Final project cost will be approximately $350 (~1,500 parts, including s&h costs),
not including the other ~1,500 necessary that I already had. I also intend to
build a section for the other end of the drawbridge and maybe some kind of moat.

This change does not make complete sense. It has been called dear head for over
20 years in the BL catalog. Please include it somewhere in the description so
that the item remains searchable.

The newest castle set states that it is an elk shield according to the one who
requested the changes.

Based on BL sales history (0 in last 6 months), I think that those listed for
sale have overstated the sets value. In other words, maybe it isn't worth
so much and it might be fun to build.

In LEGO, SomeRandomUser writes:
I've got this set that I purchased for relatively little all things considered.
The reason was because the box was damaged so the previous owner opened it to
ensure everything was there. I really want to build it but it'd make poor
financial reasoning to do so considering how much in value I'd destroy by
starting in; I might as well be shredding over a couple hundred dollars. Still,
it's a nice set and LEGO is meant to be built... I would be building it once,
displaying it for a while, then putting it away if I went through with the decision.

I would recommend that you sell your sharks and alligators as the whole assembly,
else you risk getting stuck with odd animal parts that may never sell.

Of course, you are welcome to sell them how you would like.

FB, because there is no way I am that close to perfect.

At $5 per figure this is really disappointing. However, the advantage of this
packaging is in reducing plastic waste.

That would have been handy to know years ago...now, not so much.

In Inventories, jennnifer writes:
File this one under: You can learn something new every day...

You can quickly and efficiently add Extras to your pending inventory by entering
the quantity in the EXT column on the Edit Inventory page and then hitting Submit
Changes. So, you can add ALL the extras for a set in just a few clicks.

{{{she contemplates the number of inventories she has submitted without realizing

As always, if anyone is interested in learning how to submit new inventories
to BL, just drop me a message. It's easier than you think.

Yes, it is enough. This is the time where you will begin to learn the ropes

sellers that started off big and ran into major issues early on.

I'm a little surprised that the cow wasn't sealed in a small bag like
most of the other medium/large animals I have received. With this set being

I've been paying a lot in shipping fees for parts from multiple sellers.

I'm not sure what you are implying is illegal in the US.

Discogs website removing the listing because of the price.
Me listing the price for an unreasonable price (accidentally)

or selling music 2nd hand, which is perfectly legal in the US - otherwise 1000's
of record stores & online sellers would be breaking the law via various portals
(discogs, ebay, amazon, etc...)

The watches are now in the catalog. That is why I didn't see photos in the

Yes, immediately after submitting the items I submitted pictures. They are also
pending since April of course.

Because without a picture, I'm not sure it'll be soon approved.

I'm pretty sure that is illegal, at least in the USA.

I often sell music on a website called discogs.com and when I've had a typo
on a listing ($1200 instead of $12.00), the item gets flagged as a violation
until the price is corrected. Would be nice if the same could happen on BL.

It should not have been a surprise. From the seller's terms:

"IP Address Location versus Physical Registered Location: Be aware that each
time you login to Bricklink.com, your IP Address is logged. Each time you place
an order with a seller, your IP Address may be provided to the seller in the
order notification email. We have our settings set to include IP Address of our
buyers. If you are a new buyer with zero feedback and/or an unusual address for
drop ship/warehouse address, we will reference your IP address to make sure that
it matches the location of your registered address. If the locations do not match,
we reserve the right to cancel the order. We do not ship to warehouses."

I don't think that I have ever even noticed a buyer's IP address.

Wow.. that's horrible. Who would trust the IP address over the real address?
Tons of people use disguised IP addresses. I know I did for a while; the Lego
site would keep redirecting me to their South Korean site.

That must be one paranoid seller. Move on and don't deal with them again;
that negative feedback they gave you will hurt their reputation more than it'll
hurt yours.

They seem like a good fit for the plant category.

Is there any reason why only that one flower is being moved and not the rest
of the similar ones? Going to make it very confusing.

Yes, there is a good reason. The two parts above have a "Friends ratio" of 32/124
(26%) and 64/162 (40%) respectively.

Other parts like these:

Part No: 18854 Name: Friends Accessories Sunglasses / Glasses with Small Pin

Part No: 18853 Name: Friends Accessories Hair Decoration, Flower with Pointed Petals and Small Pin
*
18853 Friends Accessories Hair Decoration, Flower with Pointed Petals and Small Pin
Parts: Friends
are different in that they are "hair" accessories attached with a small pin and
don't enjoy the general cross-theme use of the two above. The Friends ratio
for these are 63/65 (97%) and 113/166 (68%) and 50/98 (51%) respectively.

We will consider moving these last three later.

I wonder if they even test with real parts.

This set:

Set No: 76989 Name: Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck
*
76989-1 (Inv) Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck
1190 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2022
Sets: Horizon

some of the parts to the circular head have tension and don't seem like they
should be used in that manner.

That’s a bit strange because 4070’s side stud’s connection is rather good, thanks
to the lip.

Or is it between 4070 and 4595 that it’s loose?

Also thanks for clearing up on Stud.io. I didn't take it as ultimate authority,
but I wasn't aware of its peculiarities.

BTW, that goes for all CADs: everything should be tested IRL.
Or you need LEGO engineers at hand to check constraints and grip, like they do
in Billund.
Trying with real bricks is cheaper though

"better pricing"

Maybe for certain items but not entirely. Animals and minifig parts are often
great buys from their site.

It's unfortunate that there isn't another site that sells individual
parts, with quicker shipping turnaround, better pricing and relatively fast customer
support.

Very curious -- will they honor the $250 price for the Observatory on the

being authorized by people's cards and PayPal accounts, so it seems likely.
If so, that's a great deal for almost 3,900 parts and a gorgeous build.

You have many parts in unique colors, some of which I would be thrilled to have.

I could not help reviewing the price guide history for many of these and found
several examples where it seems that you have priced yourself out of the market.
In fact, some items are being offered by other sellers at much lower prices and
still not selling in quantities that would put a small dent in the supply.

I would recommend reevaluating your prices, though it is up to you.

In Selling, Broke4Bricks writes:
Taking offers for entire store "Broke4Bricks", 972 Lots 43,792 Parts, $60,347.56
inventory value set at 6 month avg sales price, sounds skewed, I know, but it
is correct. (parts for which there was no 6 month sales avg were left at my current
sale price) My store was mobile as we travel the country in an RV so I was only
able to bring the best, most valuable parts with me on the road due to space
constraints. My store specializes in Rare ,Hard to Find parts and Q Elements.
There are many items in my store that had no 6 month sales average as they've
not been sold in over a year if ever, and I have many items that no one else
has for sale on Bricklink. 99% of the bricks in my store are NEW. I am open to
offers and will send Brickstore file to more easily view inventory, if offer
is accepted and buyer is in contiguous US shipping will be free by common carrier
of my choice, tracked and insured.

Thanks for looking

I thought it had to be done manually.

What I do:

I activated the tracking number field on the orders received page where I copy/paste
the tracking # from PayPal. I also used the macro tag in the drive through notice,
so that it automatically populates the number into the message sent to the buyer.

In Technical Issues, PieceOfMind writes:

prints unused tracking numbers for each order. I asked Ship Station about this;
they said they send all numbers to Bricklink and it's their responsibility

manually in drive thru. I don't know who to report this to. Can you help?

10 Parts, 2008
Sets: Power Functions
new open box, most contents sealed (only the battery box is loose, though it
might have come that way)

Also, I have a small box with a decent quantity of the parts to 42030, including
the wheels/tires and bucket, but no power functions (see items above).
I would happily trade this lot for credit. Just ask for photos.

I just received 2x 75342 sets with the new purple clones. I don't think
I want to collect these, since I already have some 501st.

Any reliable seller in the USA looking to trade? I was hoping maybe 6x purple
clones and 1x Mace Windu for some new 332nd troopers.

Does your Deadpool feel fake?

Despite having all the Lego markings, the plastic used for mine feels like a
cheap Chinese knockoff. I think it also has loose connections

  Hi,

I just wanted to ask the community if anyone owns a Lego Deadpool minifig.

I won an eBay bid on one last week and it arrived today.

The feet, torso, and neck all have Lego logo on it, but the head is hollow and
open at both ends.

Can someone please confirm that the official Lego version does have Lego written
on the top of it please?

Thanks in advance.

Otherwise, I can look at what you have on offer.

Out of curiosity, who is your intended market? After reviewing your store, it
doesn't really seem like you intend to sell on BL.

Which truck by Ingmar Spijkhoven? Also, I cannot find a store called IDENTIC.

In Wanted, ASchmidt1 writes:
I would like to buy the bricks for a truck of Ingmar Spijkhoven and change some
colors. Therefore the wanted list would be very comfortable to use, as this list
includes the option to change colors.
