I think you'd have to describe them as yellowed and also indicate that you
have already given them a bath in hydrogen peroxide.
|
To my knowledge hydrogen peroxide does nothing in itself, you have to add direct
sunlight to it for a considerable amount of time.

| I would only add that it would be a good starting point to always include the
number of wheel spokes where appropriate, some already do but so many more don’t
as my quick example below shows.
If you know the type of wheel and can be confident spokes are included in search
terms you can just search “8 spoke wagon” but even if you don’t know the wheel
type ‘8 spoke’ will narrow things down a lot especially given many wheels don’t
even have spokes
15 spoke
12 spoke
10 spoke
9 spoke
8 spoke
7 spoke
6 spoke
5 spoke
|
I'm also surprised at the lack of the use of the word 'Rim' as all
those inner wheel parts should always include this term also many wheels connected
by an axle don't include that word either therefore something like this should
have a starter description of 'Wheel Rim Axle':-
Also wherever you have a left and right wheel connected (Dual wheels) give people
the option of narrowing down a search for these items therefore a baseline description
for this might look something like:-
'Dual Wheel Rim with Axle'

| Hi everyone, new to Bricklink but old to LEGO.
I'm Tim Drage, one half of pioneering brickfilm animation duo Spite Your
Face Productions. (we made 'Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock', "Star
Wars: The Han Solo Affair','Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO',
LEGO Studios animations etc)
Spite Your Face co-director Tony Mines sadly passed away earlier this year and
I'm selling some of our LEGO collection to clear space and raise funds to
remaster our old film (and present some unfinished projects for the first time)
in his memory.
Please check out my new bricklink store, there's some interesting/rare things
listed and I'll be adding a lot more in the near future:

I've always suggested that when there isn't any defining print detail
and only two plain tones of colour (be that printed or dual molded) we should
be able to locate them using a simple search term such as two-tone legs but others
seem to prefer that we guess what the black area is meant to represent be that
boots, shoes, sandals, slippers trainers, socks, feet etc...
However is your item found under black feet....
and that was one of the last searches I tried after almost giving up myself!
|
actually the colour you have looks more like medium blue rather than blue so
perhaps its not yet in the catalog?
|
I have compared with other blue and medium blue items in my invetory and I can
assure you that the color is blue. Thanks again for your help!
|
Okay I guess it must just be the camera lighting as it looks like a different
colour in your photo

My experience is unfortunately that any attempt to restore the whiteness will
fail. And I have tried many things. They will all return to being yellowed after
shorter or longer time. They are bin material.
Selling a complete set with parts like yours will be unacceptable - unless it
ia very clearly mentioned in the description and accepted by the buyer - and
the price must be lowered accordingly - which leads to the best solution - that
you replace the yellowed parts before listing the set for sale. Alternately part
out the rest of the set as parts if you don't want to replace the damaged
parts.

It is OK to sell faded used parts either as parts or in sets as long as the description
of the item for sale accurately describes the condition. You can use the extended
description and include words such as "many of the white parts yellowed/faded
but otherwise good condition". Obviously price accordingly.. IMO taking off the
price of replacing those parts would be a good basis.
