I stumbled upon this error in converting to EUR in other currencies:

- 7194 set
- 3 sellers in Norway
- selecting the first shop, NOK 2952 / EUR 284.35 (1st image)
- results in (see 2nd image) NOK 2361.60 / EUR 227.47

Where did 57 EURO go?

Please check:

I just landed in a surreal part of the forum after a post of a suspended store
asking for help here.

But, when did this specific topic became reality?

Seriously? When a forum mod creates a topic area specific for help desk tickets
gone missing, you really need to address to cause of it. NOT the symptoms.

If the Help Desk processes are badly run, FIX that instead of streamlining the
flow of alarming forum posts concerning the badly run Help Desk processes.

"Well, you have a leaking sewer. We will open a special helpline for posting
questions regarding leaking sewers for your convenience. Thank you for calling!"

NO!!! I need the sewer fixed. It won't fix itself by calling another helpline.
Fix the sewer!!!

Making my way back to another reality.... wish I never left it in the first place.

And again we are at September 24th.
And again we stand still at the remebrance of Dan Jezek, who left this realm
12 years ago.
And again I am thankful for what he envisioned, what he build, and what he gave
to all of us.

Every year, I feel sad at one hand, and very, very, very thankful for what he
meant for so many.

Thanks, and build well!!!!

Just handled some orders, and the status USED/NEW was gone at several items (see
pic).

Refreshing, restarting, reloading.... no difference.
What happened?

Hi all,

just read the posts regarding a store with a lot of rare figs and what triggered
that (respectful apologies posted by several members; thanks for that!).

Could we be less active acusing/thinking/insinuating etc. and leave the research
to the business part of BrickLink?

And start a petition to implement real rules about investigating stores etc.?

Off building, that's way more fun

Dear fellow BL-ers,

I reguraly go the the pages on the site to remember Daniel, as our 'founding
father' of BrickLink.

This morning was one of those days I needed to reread that page again.
However, clicking on his name, I was taken here:

http://www.bricklink.com/linkMOC.html?page=help/about3

Please have this link properly pointing to Daniel.

As I was searching through a shop, I wondered when the last order I placed here
was made.
So I checked.
And saw.... an order with a date, yet to come on the calendar (check picture!).

What happened in the database???

Dear fellow members,

this week I have received wholesale offerings for sets in a b2b setting from
2 large sellers (1 47K fb) in Europe.

I am NOT pleased with these messages.

First, I am not in the b2b business. So they are wrongly adressed.
Second, as far as I am aware of, BL-user-data is not allowed to be used for these
kind of messages.
Third, what's with the 'for your benefit and profit' thinking?

Is anybody else getting these messages as well?
Or are they just phishing attempts?

Already made 2 complaints for these 2 members at the BL office (whatever will
happen next, dunno...)

Hi everyone,

I am looking for an Australian BL-er who is willing to help me out.

In search of some small parts (20 gram, letterbox/envelop fitting) that are ONLY
available in some Australian shops, I stumble upon sellers that do NOT ship to
my country (The Netherlands, Europe).

Politely asking to make an exeption, did not change the sellers mind.

So here's a shout-out to my helpful fellow-BL-ers in Australia: who is willing
to help me out here? Buy them for me, and ship them to me at my expenses of course.

Cheers

Had a rude wake up call today.

As of July 1st this year and later on from September 1st buying from the UK has
become increasingly expensive for EU buyers.

The treshold of 22 euro has been abandoned from July 1st. Every sale will be
taxed, even if it is below this treshold (there is no treshold....).
Taxes are to paid on the invoice of the seller and by the customs dept in Holland;
so the purchase is double taxed (2 x 21%!). And I have no possibility to reclaim
it.
Plus there is 4 euro fee for handling if it is less than 150 euro value of the
shipment (10 euro if it is above...).

A 27 GBP (32 euro) order (included was shipping for 5.75 GBP, taxes for 4.82
GBP (21%)) became 10 euro more expensive because of this.

I know, I am free to buy or not to buy these parts in the UK. Unfortunately the
UK seller(s) are the only one in Europe with these parts....
But if this is the result of Brexit, I will end buying from my UK Lego-friends.
Too bad it turned out this way.

So long my UK-friends.....

@all here at BrickLink,

Dan remains a true icon for me. What his vision encompassed and what was beyond
that, we will never know. He was not given the time to realize his dreams

Happy reminders go back to my early days here at BL, now 13 years ago. Dan popped
in now and then in discussions and forum threads about the database and more
silly stuff. Soon after it went quiet....

I never met him, but his spirit is still here.
Let's keep that spirit alive, in honour of Dan!

Keep building, keep connecting, keep helping!

Cheers

Why are sets limited in volume per region?

Europeans can not pre-order sets like the shipping vessel that is amazing!

Is this the new way Lego provides sets to all?

I hope the digital instructions will be downloadable in 2022 .

Apparently we moved a few months ahead in time (see picture).

Sales are nice thing, right? Scoring a bulk load of 1x1 plates you so desperately
need for a long overdue project helps you move on!
When 70% of the sales announcements concern shops that do NOT ship to you, the
nice efforts turn into an ever growing deception....

So here's my suggestion: have a SALE announcement link to the shipping terms
of the store so there will be ONLY announcement visible that actually DO ship
to your country.

Ever working on a more pleasant environment.

In your own store inventory, you can search for parts of a specific set. See
attached picture.
In the buying area of a store, this is not possible.
The functionality is there, please add it to the buying area.

In replying to forum posts, the standard system setting is to quote the post
you are replying to. This generates LARGE texts that one has to scroll through
to get the additional post made by the poster.

Please set this standard to OFF:

- makes the forumposts cleaner
- readingspeed increases
- mouses/PGDWN-keys will last longer due to less scrolling
- less data storage needed on servers

(has been requested two times before, no follow-up unfortunately)

(probably multiple times suggested before....)

Overhaul of the NSS/NRS system required.

Regarding recent posts of blocked shops due to a cummulation of three (!) NSS's
over the last few years (!!), this system needs an overhaul.

1) NSS / NSR are in effect NO longer than a fixed time; for instance 6 months
2) users can ALWAYS review their scores on ALL the codes (NSS/NRS/NPB/OCR/etc....)
availabe for classifying orders (the data must be in the database.

Short post, needs more work, I know. Please add when wanted....... or when you
miss stuff.

If there IS a way to check your scores, please post it here AND (@ADMIN/@TECHSTAFF),
add it to the MyBrickLink page PLEASE.

Cheers

As this is still a community build and moderated site, all efforts by members
to improve the site, listings, behaviour of members etc, should result in a discount
on fees to be paid.

Bricklink should have a program that rewards members who:
- catalog contributions
- image improvements
- price guide corrections
- listings corrections
- adding help files/video's/translations
- .....

At this day, only BAD behaviour is santioned (NSS, NPB's, site and forum
bans etc....). Let us not emphasize the negative behaviour but reward the positive
behaviour.

When a user has its buying privileges revoked, it should automatically revoke
its feedback privileges. This in order to prevent retaliatory actions from buyer
and seller.
Please keep this place tidy
