One of the trails we use for our regular hikes.

Look like lilies or orchids, right? They’re not, they are fungi. Beautiful nonetheless!

Ferns are a big part of the forests here in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Some
sections are stunningly beautiful with them. Not necessarily those on this trail
though, that sits just on the Puget Sound shoreline, which the creek flows into.

Have a wonderful Sunday

I said “fine, here you go”

But seriously, this is an update to a post some have asked about in the interum:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1302554

Almost lost them over the winter. Not so much the lack of UV or growth cycles,
but because of a toxic-to-plants substance, I knew nothing about: cat piss! I
understand it's use as a derogatory, now

My son was away on business and had us sit his (unbeknownst to us) pregnant cat,
this she-demon: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1329051 She had for
some reason been pissing in the saplings' pots at night. Almost killing them
within hours. I have never smelt ammonia as strongly as her urine, pungent as
Hell itself.

Well, I did the Botany ER thing with them for two months, I wasn't gonna
give up on them! I believe they’ll pull-through, against all odds.

The First is now nearly 5 feet tall now, she is Jazz. The second is doing well
too with beautiful dark green foliage, is Gavin.

Well some have asked, so here they are today.

The big guy was introduced to you in a forum contest, back in May

As we move into winter up here in the Seattle region, they’ve been given grow-lights
(narrow spectrum) For scale, the big one stands 42 inches (106 cm) tall.

I’ve actually named the two now, but took the name tags off for the photo

... that can set your day up right

A strange lone thunderhead cloud forming just as the sun crested the horizon,
perfectly centered (from our region) in front of the sunrise, created some stunning
color and light effects this morning. It was gone as the sun quickly moved past
the thunderhead formation, I felt lucky having caught the short-lived event.
Thought I'd share that luck.

Excuse the low quality pic, it was taken on the fly while driving.

Would it be beneficial to have a dedicated forum topic Taxes, with the
charter of discussing all things related to transactional taxes collected via
BrickLink, VAT and Sales tax?

A go-to forum space specific to the charter. The topic could be umbrellaed as
a subtopic by the more general Help. Perhaps giving the Admin another
and specific place to post updates on what is still a fairly new and complicated
implementation, and to find the opportune question and broadly-held concerns.

It might be worth doing, if only provisionally?

I earnestly feel the new banner across the top of BL stores displaying the feedback
breakdown, should be altered.

As it stands now, a neutral will bring the percentile down. This, I believe is
misleading to potential buyers and somewhat unfair in nature. Many neutral marks
are received for perfectly satisfied transactions, as witnessed in the feedback
itself. This I think, is due to a general misunderstanding of the BL feedback
system. It is unlike many other site's feedback process.

I feel any neutral mark given, should be just that, carry no effect. Just
as it does with the numbers.

My motivations in bringing this up are unbiased, as reflected in our own banner.
I sincerely hope the Admins take this suggestion into consideration.
