Thanks everyone for your input... still no word from Admin... but I think I'll
change my terms page.
But do I allow PayPal and USA sales with taxes charged??? Or just stick with
Canada?

Hi all. I have to know why my store was suspended???!!!
If it's cause of a USA teenager who bought from my store and then said I
was a scammer cause I don't take paypal,, then this better be rectified right
away because that is allowed to not take paypal and I didn't scam anyone!!!
Admin, please contact me right away! Everyone who knows me in the LEGO community
knows who I am and I've never scammed anyone!

I also have a NPB against this teenager who shouldn't be allowed on this
site. Then their negative feedback will be removed!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

But actually, I don't have to charge tax to USA buyers and that's legal
cause I'm in Canada. I work for a 50 year old company of sporting goods.
We only sell to Canada and USA. When a USA buyer buys from the website, they
are NEVER charged taxes and can check out with the purchase price and shipping
is the only thing added. We don't charge taxes and leave it to the boarder
and the buyer to pay the taxes if it's needed.

Dosnt the buyer pay the tax need thru bricklink now tho. Even tho the seller
isn’t required to collect it bricklink now is required to and as such the buyer
has to pay bricklink whenever they purchase thru bricklink (or any site that
deals in sales volume over x amount of dollars) so technically you wouldn’t be
collecting the sales tax but bricklink would on behalf of the buyer.

Yes maybe your right... But can't a BrickLink admin tell us about these
things and help their customers, (Us Sellers who pay their bills.), what we
need to change to make it all work out???
I'm afraid to use PayPal now because of sellers being scammed and screwed
by buyers who lie and PayPal gives them their money back and the seller loses
the item and shipping!!!

I do agree that for parties involved there should be better info given. As for
PayPal I’ve used it for about 7.5k transactions and haven’t been scammed once
yet. We typically only hear of the horror stores but buyers can file claims pretty
much any way they pay. I’ve actually had someone try to scam me on PayPal but
PayPal actually stepped in and protected me from the buyer and I didn’t have
to give any refunds

Yes I have a great reputation with PayPal and they have always sided with me...
but I shouldn't have to fight, worry and stress about that stuff. So it's
easier for my life to just not. I don't have to sell to USA either. And
Canada post already killed my overseas business cause of increased prices. 😔

You should see if you have a chit chats near you. If you use them you can ship
stuff fully tracked overseas for as little as $10 to some countries

We actually do,,, but the one near me has a very bad reputation and bad feedback
for over charging and losing packages!!! They need to improve before I can trust
them.

Wow. Too far, dude. He’s been on BL far longer then you and I. That was just
rotten sounding. You sound like you are trying to parent a 5 year old who got
his finger pinched in the cookie jar lid. That was just a bit too far.

It has nothing to do with parenting or judging, it was making a point. If
the site admins fell like you won't make an effort to correct mistakes they
won't reinstate your selling or buying privileges. It's happened in
the past and we know they read comments in the forum as well so if you say you
don't care or compare it to another business and make it sound like you won't
fix it in the future, they could easily say they won't let you sell again.

Also, just because I haven't been on this platform doesn't mean that
I have no knowledge of the process from an outside view or another platform or
business. I'm just making a statement based on the information provided.

I have no problem fixing ANYTHING I did wrong or mistakes in my store. I was
NEVER told why they closed my store. So I'm waiting for an answer. This way
maybe an admin will notice and help me fix it.
I'm used to the old ways on here so didn't know I had to do it their
way. I can either stop Selling to USA buyers like I have for overseas buyers
cause of high shipping prices. Or put paypal back on my store and open it up
to everyone.
Thanks for your help and knowledge.
Peace,
James

Would that count as sales tax avoidance? I didn’t ready anything else from the
terms but just saw this when it was brought up yesterday

Are you working for a franchise company that is "owned" by someone in Canada?
If this is the case, then that is you delta. BL is a USA based company and
has to abide by US law. Even though they are owned by TLC, they are US based.
You don't get to make your own rules and when you break them, this is what
happens. If this is your stance, I don't see a why of convincing the admins

My store is based in Canada, so I don't charge a USA buyer any taxes.

You might look at it from another angle, James: Practically speaking, it’s BrickLink
that “charge a USA buyer any taxes” via third party arrangements.

You, as representing today’s online vendor, do not determine, apply to invoice
(charge) or have access to any tax-funds collected for remittance.

As it stands currently, the site can only fulfill what is now an obligation,
by using the payment process. The Onsite method, contractually allows for this.

Hi there. Yes you're right. So I either stop selling to USA buyers, or
conform and risk stress and pain. 😔
