| Dear fellow BL-ers,
I reguraly go the the pages on the site to remember Daniel, as our 'founding
father' of BrickLink.
This morning was one of those days I needed to reread that page again.
However, clicking on his name, I was taken here:
http://www.bricklink.com/linkMOC.html?page=help/about3
Please have this link properly pointing to Daniel.

| As I was searching through a shop, I wondered when the last order I placed here
was made.
So I checked.
And saw.... an order with a date, yet to come on the calendar (check picture!).
What happened in the database???

| Dear fellow members,
this week I have received wholesale offerings for sets in a b2b setting from
2 large sellers (1 47K fb) in Europe.
I am NOT pleased with these messages.
First, I am not in the b2b business. So they are wrongly adressed.
Second, as far as I am aware of, BL-user-data is not allowed to be used for these
kind of messages.
Third, what's with the 'for your benefit and profit' thinking?
Is anybody else getting these messages as well?
Or are they just phishing attempts?
Already made 2 complaints for these 2 members at the BL office (whatever will
happen next, dunno...)

| Hi everyone,
I am looking for an Australian BL-er who is willing to help me out.
In search of some small parts (20 gram, letterbox/envelop fitting) that are ONLY
available in some Australian shops, I stumble upon sellers that do NOT ship to
my country (The Netherlands, Europe).
Politely asking to make an exeption, did not change the sellers mind.
So here's a shout-out to my helpful fellow-BL-ers in Australia: who is willing
to help me out here? Buy them for me, and ship them to me at my expenses of course.
Cheers

Author: | StarBrick | Posted: | Oct 7, 2021 10:09 | Subject: | UK buying? Not anymore, thanks to Brexit..... | Viewed: | 288 times | Topic: | General | |
| Had a rude wake up call today.
As of July 1st this year and later on from September 1st buying from the UK has
become increasingly expensive for EU buyers.
The treshold of 22 euro has been abandoned from July 1st. Every sale will be
taxed, even if it is below this treshold (there is no treshold....).
Taxes are to paid on the invoice of the seller and by the customs dept in Holland;
so the purchase is double taxed (2 x 21%!). And I have no possibility to reclaim
it.
Plus there is 4 euro fee for handling if it is less than 150 euro value of the
shipment (10 euro if it is above...).
A 27 GBP (32 euro) order (included was shipping for 5.75 GBP, taxes for 4.82
GBP (21%)) became 10 euro more expensive because of this.
I know, I am free to buy or not to buy these parts in the UK. Unfortunately the
UK seller(s) are the only one in Europe with these parts....
But if this is the result of Brexit, I will end buying from my UK Lego-friends.
Too bad it turned out this way.
So long my UK-friends.....

| @all here at BrickLink,
Dan remains a true icon for me. What his vision encompassed and what was beyond
that, we will never know. He was not given the time to realize his dreams
Happy reminders go back to my early days here at BL, now 13 years ago. Dan popped
in now and then in discussions and forum threads about the database and more
silly stuff. Soon after it went quiet....
I never met him, but his spirit is still here.
Let's keep that spirit alive, in honour of Dan!
Keep building, keep connecting, keep helping!
Cheers

| Why are sets limited in volume per region?
Europeans can not pre-order sets like the shipping vessel that is amazing!
Is this the new way Lego provides sets to all?
I hope the digital instructions will be downloadable in 2022 .

Apparently we moved a few months ahead in time (see picture).

BrickStock for uploading, parting etc?
Any thoughts?
