The catalogDownload.asp page contains checkboxes for downloading year, weight,
and dimensions. However, it downloads stud dimensions rather than the packing
dimensions. Would it be possible to download the packing dimensions instead of
the stud dimensions or include both as separate checkboxes?

Up until now, pretty much all the freight forwarders have operated in states
that have no sales tax. This has allowed them to operate outside of the normal
rules. That is changing.

Last November, the Florida legislature enacted a new statute ( Section 212.06(5)(b)
) allowing freight forwarders, operating as a business within Florida, and with
the explicit requirement that the items being forwarded be leaving the USA, to
register with the State of Florida Department of Revenue ( using an Application
for a Florida Certificate of Forwarding Agent Address (Form DR-1FA) ). Florida
is legitimizing the business, and basically neutralizing the zero tax states
advantage.

This impacts BrickLink in two ways: first, BL's tax calculation system (or
service provider) will need to track these addresses, and second anyone with
a shipment to one of these addresses in Florida should (if properly implemented)
see a zero sales tax rate.

I am requesting that those (known and registered) addresses of freight forwarders
(regardless of state) be tagged and signaled so that seller's can choose
if they wish to ship to them or not.

Note that part of this issue (the sales tax rate being other than what is expected
for the state in question) also applies to some Native American reservations
(as I mentioned in another thread earlier today).

With Florida's aggressive move, I expect other states (and primarily those
with significant air freight connections) to implement similar statutes.

Hi

Can I request that you include a checkbox on the order sheets please.
When I receive an order I always check it off and it would be very helpful if
I can just tick a box for my records as I go along as when its delivered, it
doesnt come out in the same order as the list.
It only needs to be for the use of the recipient, but it would be a very useful
tool.
Thanks

Sometimes I find it is the case that I'm constructing a wanted list with
assorted parts and while not too particular about the color, it is nonetheless
important that some different parts be the same color, whatever it is.

So to facilitate that, I would suggest that one have the ability to specify a
color scheme for any wanted list. For example, say that I intend to build a
three color model, but I am not too particular about the colors. The only thing
I might care about, for instance, is that some subset of the parts be specifically
either all black, all white, or all grey, although I may not be particular about
which.

A color scheme for the wanted list would then look something like this:
A: unspecified
B: black, white, grey
C: unspecified

When specifying the desired color of the part in a wanted list, instead of selecting
a standard color (or "unspecified"), I could alternatively select from one of
the color schemes defined for that wanted list (A-C, in this case). In any
case, each color scheme letter would be a unique color, and all parts that utilize
the same scheme letter would be the exact same color. So if white parts were
found for parts using B, for example, then no parts using A or C will be white.
If one is truly indifferent about the color of the part, then one could still
use the existing "unspecified" mechanism. The important thing here is that during
autopick, all parts referring to the same scheme letter would always have the
exact same color.

The existing workaround to this is to create separate wanted lists that are otherwise
identical except for color, each wanted list looking for the same items, but
with a different set of colors. It is quite tedious for wanted lists with many
different parts, however, and I believe something like the above would simplify
that.

Exclamation mark on the order detail and in the part out details would be very
handy if a part had a known variant. We do our best to match the specific mold
customer ordered but sometimes incorrect variant ends up in the storage bin of
another variant due to errors in the catalog or with sorting error. If you catch
your error at the inventory level it's still not problematic but once someone
orders a variant more than you have it's almost always more involving with
exchanging messages with customer.

Such exclamation mark on the part out details would increase the chances that
someone submit an alternative part catalog change request. (I don't think
it would be done on the legacy system but that addition of alternative part may
be simplified by just asking the user which part was included in the set instead
of what was shown in the catalog)

In the order detail page it would serve the seller to be extra cautious about
the variant, at least there would be higher chance that the situation is assessed
before the order is in the hands of the customer.

I could be wrong but it looks like the promo minifigure from Rome with colesseum
is not listed. It can be found as a custom item but that is all I can find.
To clarify not the chariot with figure, the other similar gladiator figure.

Thanks,

Originally I thought I needed to add some parts to the catalog, but I finally

going to the catalog tree, selecting slope, curved, decorated brought up a VERY
long list. Typing in 45410 in the search bar gave 0 results. Typing in 79120
gave me the parts I was looking for. It also does not work by dimensions, and
color gives you every mention of the color, not the color of the brick.

If you do not know the original set, this is almost useless. Can you please enhance
the search so that the color of the brick and the dimensions are selectabletime?
This would save HOURS of time!

Also, putting a reference on the original part number page to show the decorated
variances would be tremendously helpful, both to buyers and sellers.

It would be great if the order was fully updated after a refund.

In my case, I have three different types of bubble envelopes under one shipping
method, but in order to not undercharge shipping cost, I needed to add the weight
of the heaviest envelope. For small orders, this means often actual shipping
cost are less than the customer paid, so I refund the difference.

The order however is not updated, so the numbers are not reflecting the final
grand total.

When refunding because of overcharged shipping, the option needs to be selected,
meaning the Shipping cost field could be updated automatically, which could update
the grand total and VAT as well (if applicable).

For other types of refunds, the same logic applies and the cost of hidden and
the grand total could be updated.

I've been part of the LEGO buying, selling and collecting community for a
year or more. and I see the same questions over and over on Lego facebook
pages etc. People trying to identify Lego pieces or sets. The general answer
people are given is to try google lens. I use google lens myself but it is frustrating
not being able to filter the results by the term "Lego" sometimes results are
totally inaccurate for this reason. I know its a bold statement but in all my
observation I think i can speak for the entire Lego community when I say we would
love a bricklink app that combines a google lens type function for Lego and the
ability to head straight to bricklink without a browser. I have so many tabs
open in my browser for bricklink. i need to go their so often throughout the
day and now as I've just upgraded to seller i would love to get notified
if i made a sale or received an order. any chance something like this is already
in the works? if not can we start a petition to Lego or something like that?

Would it be possible when you have it auto shop a wanted list to add preferred
payment methods to the filter? As a shopper who doesn't own nor want to make
a PayPal account, when it automatically selects sellers who only accept PayPal
it gets annoying. Sincerely, Bricklink user.

When a seller refunds an order fully (when it has been paid by PayPal onsite),
allow the seller to cancel it no matter what status the buyer has set for the
order. BL knows the refund has gone through, so it is ridiculous sellers have
to ask buyers to remove received/completed status once they have their refund.
Or allow a seller to cancel it no matter what the status is set at after a full
refund is given.

Can we please fix the sales tax exemptions for sellers that buy parts for resale
and have the proper sales tax id's on file with our state? I've spend
$115 in sales tax for items since July of 2021 that I shouldn't have to pay.

It can be fairly obvious to get all the Spider-Man figures in a search, but a
couple notes. We would also tie Peter Parker figures to the Spider-Man figures
and Bruce Wayne figures to Batman figures and perhaps Rex and Emmet.

But there is also an increasing trend of things like this:

Minifig No: hol267 Name: Man, Orange Tracksuit, Black Hair
*
hol267 (Inv) Man, Orange Tracksuit, Black Hair
Minifigures: Holiday & Event: Chinese New Year
and

Minifig No: hol266 Name: Woman, Orange Tracksuit, Long Black Hair
*
hol266 (Inv) Woman, Orange Tracksuit, Long Black Hair
Minifigures: Holiday & Event: Chinese New Year
are a couple that come to Chinese New Years events
dressed alike. You can find them last year as

Minifig No: hol229 Name: Woman, Dark Red '2021' Shirt, Sand Blue Legs, Long Black Hair
*
hol229 (Inv) Woman, Dark Red '2021' Shirt, Sand Blue Legs, Long Black Hair
Minifigures: Holiday & Event: Chinese New Year
and

Minifig No: hol228 Name: Man, Dark Red '2021' Shirt, Blue Legs, Black Hair
*
hol228 (Inv) Man, Dark Red '2021' Shirt, Blue Legs, Black Hair
Minifigures: Holiday & Event: Chinese New Year

Hello,

I usually color my comments because they are pointing to another small mold difference
or vintage of the same part that Bricklink does not differenciate.

The problem is that when I am preparing the order and reviewing the order screen,
the comment is not colored, and I happen to miss the mold difference

Is there a way to make it show comment colors?

Not sure if this has ever been proposed... but what if we listed Instructions
that have more than one book with the ability to part them out...

I have a bunch of used instruction books that are missing 1 or more of the books
in the set. I hate to list them and then note that "THIS IS ONLY FOR BOOK 2".
It messes with the pricing.

It would be like parting out a minifigure...

Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

I don't know when it started or why but I keep receiving new Lego parts that
smell strongly of perfume or scented detergent. Why? I have to air them out
for several days before I can use them. I cannot reuse any of the plastic bags
or envelopes so they are thrown out without repurposing them. If you are a seller
who keeps your Legos in areas where they can pick up offensive odors, or worse
wash them in scented soap, please list it in your terms. As soon as someone says
they wash the Legos, I look elsewhere. So give the buyers a heads up.

Hello There,

I'm sure this has been suggested.

1: But when doing a part out, why do we have to select NEW or USED each time.
Can I suggested you just need to enter the set one know. From there the part
out screen lists both on the same screen.

2: When in Catalog view. There is enough white space to include the part out
value when also searching for sets.

This would save so many unnecessary searches.

Please and thanks.

Hi!

I would love to see the increase/decrease price by % or currency feature during
the part out to inventory process.
This function is already implemented in wishlist price settings.
It would be great to have it as an additional option in the first part out to
inventory form.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Andreas.

Hi

I dont know if this has been looked at or if it is possible to set up on here.
But has anyone looked at pay pal qr code payment as a method as I just noticed
the fees are a hell lot better than mirco and normal pay pal fees. This is only
available to bussiness accounts as far as I am aware of.

For down under (Australia)

Normal Transactions 2.60% + fixed fee ($0.30 cents)
QR Code Transactions – 10.01 AUD and above 0.90% + fixed fee ($0.10)
QR code Transactions – 10.00 AUD and below 1.40% + fixed fee ($0.10)
Mirco payments 5.00% + micropayments fixed fee ($0.05)

As you can see from the above the fees are way cheaper than both mirco and standard
transactions just food for thought.

Current issues: The "Buy All" wizard is not always optimal, so when I am looking
to add parts or minifigures, I want to use the same vendors, especially since
it's ordered by price. I have to have several tabs open to see with what
vendors I have open baskets in my cart and then browse through their oftentimes
massive stores to see if they have other items on my wishlist.

Suggestion: In a view in which vendors are compared (e.g., if I click on a set,
part or minifigure), add 2 icons for whether the vendor is in my basket already
and how many parts/minifigures this vendor is selling that are in my basket.

Hi,

It would be great the have the ability to set shipment options. In Switzerland,
Swiss Post can deliver parcels on Saturday. This implies an additional fee that
a buyer should choose at checkout.

For now, the only way to do this is to define a new dedicated shipment method
with the fee incorporated to the shipment prices. The buyer would have a new
option, beside the other methods, only to receive its parcel on saturday.

In my vision, a seller will set an option with a description and additional fees.
The buyer will have a checkbox to enable the option.

Thanks in advance for your read and I wish you a happy new year.

Regards,

Jey
