Would you leave negative feedback based on the interaction? Or just move on since
you got the refund?

No one needs to deal with a truly rude seller. A polite and professional manner
is a required part of customer service. So, yes, I would consider leaving negative
feedback if I was mistreated as a buyer.

Feedback given is not only a message to the seller, it is a message to the community.
I feel this is just like shopping at the local hardware store, etc. If I was
treated in a rude, unreasonable manner by a store owner, you better believe I
would tell my friends about it and suggest they avoid that store.

Very true, but given the seller does'nt care much for their own customer
service they probably don't care enough about whether their feedback remains
in good standing either so whats the point in the buyer jeopardising their own
feedback just as a means of warning others?

Until Bricklink implements a feedback system that protects buyer opinion without
the fear of retaliation then the feedback system will always remain flawed and
unfit for purpose!

My advice to the OP would be to block the store, tell the seller what you think
of their poor service and don't leave any feedback so as not to give them
the satisfaction of jeopardising your own repuation!

I would leave negative feedback and stoplist them (is that what it's called?),
just as I have with a few people on here as a result of their behaviour.

At the very least, least favourite the store and also stop list them so they
cannot buy from you.

Anything that particularly shaped your feeling about a transaction is grounds
for your feedback, but negative feedback should come with a specific comment
so other people can judge for themselves whether your experience is likely to
relate to them.

It depends ...

One viewpoint is that feedback represents the whole essence of the transaction.

More recently, I'm seeing a trend to where feedback is simply was the buyer
(or seller) happy or unhappy. That type of feedback has external influences,
above and beyond the transaction, but it creeps in.

BL is being a bit less responsive in removing undesired feedback, so take that
into consideration.

I may well receive another negative, and all because a customer is arguing about
the definition of INCOMPLETE. The feedback system here needs serious revision,
and mostly to sort out when non-positive is justified or not.

P.S Fun fact:
i) 111=3*37

ii) 111 + 777 = 1*111 + 7*111= (1+7) * 111 = 8 * 111 (so not entirely a coincidence
that 888 is also combined of one single digit "8")

I really enjoy these "snapshots in time" type parallels. Very cool!

Put a space between the Thank and you on the last line on the splash page...

Thankyou for taking some time to look at our store!

I would suggest calmly and politely explaining the situation to your buyer. Include
the link to how to change negative feedback.

Unless there was communication from the buyer you have not related here, I don't
see how this can be called extortion.

I know it's frustrating to receive bad feedback, but a positive and apologetic
demeanor might get you a better outcome. You can catch more bees with honey...

Good luck,

LOL. Flies with honey I meant. Gotta read before I post!

I don't know, I think you might be onto something. By offering the bees
their honey back, you can lure them in for capture before the flies show up

Order was under control of the postal service when this happened.
Didn't allow me to resolve issue!

Has since been :
1.repaid for total order costs!
2. Order was returned to me and I have since posted it back to Buyer!

I feel that I have been extorted due to the negative feedback!

I had at that point NO Negative feedback for being a Seller!

Not Happy!

I have put in request for negative feedback to be removed!
Apparently Rejected but not reason why!
AND No asking me why either!!

On removal of Feedback list says - the following applies:

Seller is attempting feedback extortion AND Not relevant to the order (once
with postal service, we can't do anything about it!)

Who can I message for assistance to solve this PROBLEM!

Thanks Cate

Dont worry too much about it. Nearly all sellers have unfair neg feedback, forget
about it and move on

It's sad when people feel the need to do stuff like that with the excuse
of "doing it on someone's behalf", especially without making sure it's
alright first. Busybodies never accomplish anything good.

Yesterday I posted a question about making a reply to a feedback. I posted a
picture of the page I was asking about and thought that I had blanked out all
of the buyer's information. I screwed up and missed 1 spot. As soon as I
realized that, I cancelled my message. The post was a question. It was NEVER,
EVER meant as a name and shame. I was having trouble finding the correct link
and just needed a bit of help.

So, to my buyer: I apologize profusely for the mistake. I honestly cannot apologize
enough. That was my mistake and it is completely on me.

Now, to the member who emailed my buyer:
***** THAT IS NOT OKAY. ******

My buyer is new to BL; which I mentioned in my message. Normally, I send a message
to the buyer explaining the feedback system and why their feedback is unwarranted
and so damaging. I have found that communication and education about BL goes
a long way. Never in my wildest imaginings would I have thought that another
seller would take it upon themselves to send such a message to my buyer. The
chastising tone of the email and the "mention" of being stop-listed by sellers
made my buyer feel threatened.

What should have been a conversation between myself and my buyer became public
in a way that I never wanted. Again, that is my mistake and I apologize.

Looks like you are on the other member's feedback page which shows the feedback
they posted. In order to reply to feedback you must be on your own feedback page
(the one showing all the feedbacks you received).

sure about negative ones though.
