Thanks

Good question. I haven't buying ANYTHING this year outside the EU so I cannot
help, but from what I've heard, if the store retains the VAT, then you will
not have any issues. In the extreme case your parcel is stuck at customs, just
send the invoice and the customs will release your package.

Hope this helps.

I found a catalog in a bulk lot but it isn't listed on Bricklink.

How can I add it?

Thank you.

I was one of the buyers harmed by him, but I only lost around 20 EUR on a very
large selection of parts of a 80 EUR order, many people lost much, much more
and that's a shame.

I'm sorry about that, but for LEGO a sale to a collector is almost indistinguishable
from a sale to a scalper since they set a fixed price for their products and
won't make a profit on the eventual resale. However, they aren't entirely
insensitive to the issue, the LEGO.com website has pretty tight order quotas
(most often 2) for expectedly sought after sets.

In the end, collecting is an expensive hobby because the trade value of collection
items is way higher than their initial sale value, and there's little that
LEGO can do, if they crank the price up sales will drop, and they are a mass-produced
toy company where sales numbers are more important.

black falcons only makes normal collectors and/or replacement parts buyer to
feel frustrating and angry.

Apparently, there were no limits on the number of black falcons you could buy.

This makes Löwenstein Castle very sad.

I hadn't returned from Dark Ages when Löwenstein was released. And technically..
it isn't made from LEGO. Neither does the Castle in Forest, and that says
a lot about a company that suppodely "listens to fans".

My first question is this, it takes 10k votes of support to get Lego to look
at making it a set, it states on Bricklinks that only 5k sets will be made (if
Castle in the Forest is selected for production). Isn't that a bit odd that
it takes more support to get on the list than would be built if it gets selected?
It has potential to create a bottleneck shortage, does it not?

On LEGO Ideas, people just say “oh shiny!”
Here, people’ll _pledge_ to pay the set, it’s pre-orders.

We have a saying in French: Un tiens vaut mieux que deux tu l’auras. (One “take
this” is worth more than two “you’ll have it.”)

  […]
Last question for now, the time to preorder is stated at July 1 2021. I live
in Canada, what time zone is the actual start time and will there be any sets
left to pre-order by the time I would be up?

IIRC, none of the sets in the first ADP was ”pre-sold” on the first day.

You've downloaded the source code instead

You need to go again to BrickStore's GitHub and click on the Releases, then
you'll find the binaries for Linux and other lesser OS'es.

Nothing personal but I've taken a look and even with the discount your prices
are on the higher side of the currently listed prices. That's a trend that
I've noticed in many european stores when compared to North America, for
example.

I'm surprised this wouldn't be part of any country's national shipper.
I know first-hand this feature exists in France, the UK and the US so I expected
it to exist at least in the remaining Western countries.

Still, I'm not signing many packages myself, one of my LEGO.com order was
recently misdelivered and they just shipped back another set to me so it seems
signature delivery isn't worth the hassle for large companies that can just
eat up the cost of an additional set if there is an issue with a package.

For LEGO it is a grain of sand on them, for a private seller losing a 200$ set
can be enough to swallow years of profits.

I started over.

Nice catch Jonas! Actually in one of the photos, the trainrims were fallen (perished?)
from the motor. This one

I am sure in all copies, 4 trainsrim were pre-assembled to the motor because
the production stopped at the end of 1980.

the tracking says it was delivered

Unless it's delivered for a signature, the tracking data should be regarded
as unreliable. I've had a LEGO.com FedEx order marked as delivered but it
must have been delivered to a different building. I personally took on me to
redeliver a couple FedEx packages that ended up in my building's package
room by mistake, they were addressed to different house numbers on the same street.

In my country no package is ever signed on delivery, either from LEGO or from

  Hello lego fans.

New to the forum and would appreciate some advice please.
I have over the years accumulated lots of 12v classic track for a layout I will
soon start building.

Wasn't apparent unit I just cleaned all the track the various degrees of
colour discolouration.
Sleepers are ok, just the rails.

Any recommendations on how I can clean all the track and preserver the original
colour.

Picture of two of the trains and some wagons.

Cheers,
Ed.

You mean, the inner track that has the conducting metal railings? Or the outer
plastic-only rails? Because if it's only plastic, you can try the Peroxide
method. I never tried it on light-gray, only whites, but I read it works on LG
too.

If you want to try the peroxide method on the metal rails, I don't know how
it will affect the metal part, sorry.
