Part No: 31110pb115 Name: Duplo, Brick 2 x 2 x 2 with Strawberry Jam Jar Pattern
*
31110pb115 Duplo, Brick 2 x 2 x 2 with Strawberry Jam Jar Pattern
Parts: DUPLO, Brick, Decorated
[p=3068bpb0818]

If you enter "Strawberries" you get items with more than one strawberry (Makes
sense),
but if you enter "Strawberry", you get items with more than 1 strawberry (doesn't
make sense)

Thanks

Parts: Sticker Sheet

Please can someone confirm and amend if necessary that the 1x6 silver tread stickers
1x6 are not all the same.

If you check them, side by side, they appear to be a print continuation, but
when taken separately they are then different to each other

If you check the 1x6 tile with sticker attached, the picture does not match all
the 4 stickers on the sticker sheet.

I dare say this may happen on other sticker sheets with tread on

Thanks

tpr

Probably, but as a seller, I would not want all the treads to be separate entries.

Jen

Then the entries affixed to tiles should be noted to that fact then.
I have a stickered tile, but it does not match the one in the photo. If I sell
it, the customer is well within their rights to say it doesn't match the
item they ordered

or

If you try to complete the set, you may not have four different stickers as per
the sticker sheet - you have 2 of 1, 2 of another and none of the other 2

Minefield or what !!

Are the corners sharp or rounded? Is there any way you can post a picture?

Ones like this, I don't know what the red was meant to be.

I don’t know either… a belt?  A codpiece?
I guess they added colour before LEGO could stamp hips.

  Superman style underpants?

Overpants?

They look so much better with black legs and hips. I used to switch
the black/red with red/black to get monochrome leg assemblies.

I did the reverse… mainly to have uniformity in the uniforms… to depict a time
when there was no real uniform.  Kids….

Probably the castle chappie was the inventor of the thong, and it took off in
a Galaxy far far Away

*
194cx1 Minifigure, Utensil Hose Nozzle Simple with 13L String (Undetermined Type)
Parts: Minifigure, Utensil
Marked for Deletion

Should the green one be on a separate variant.

The yellow, Black and Grey use Black string, the Green one has Green string.

There is no way of knowing this until you click on the colour.

The description of 194cx1 should state black string, and a new variant for green
string should be created

If I have assumed incorrectly, can anyone explain why they are all on one item

973pb1096 Torso Super Hero Armor with White Star on Chest, Utility Belt with Silver Buckle Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Torso

If you are searching through torso assemblies for the above, you would disregard
it as it appears to be printed one side only.

Its only when you check the torso, it shows 2 sided print.

Can the description of the assembly be amended to incorporate the reverse, or
a budding photographer submit a new picture.

Thanks

The name of the c version was changed from brown to dark tan in January but the
b version wasn't. I have changed that one now.

Thank You

Hi

Part No: 973p90 Name: Torso Space Classic Moon Pattern
*
973p90 Torso Space Classic Moon Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Torso

Have a few of these in Red with White Moons - doesn't look like gold has
worn off or been removed.

Question is - Were these ever made with just the white moon?

Thanks

Hi

Have received three orders from 0 feedback buyers in the last couple of weeks,
and on the orders received page i have it set up to show buyers name, and there
is no name, just the (0) feedback and the green hat symbol.

Is there a glitch in the system that is allowing this?

Hi

Take a look at the pictures in the catalogue of

Part No: 973pb0131c01 Name: Torso Indiana Jones Leather Jacket, Button Down Shirt Pattern / Dark Brown Arms / Light Nougat Hands
*
973pb0131c01 (Inv) Torso Indiana Jones Leather Jacket, Button Down Shirt Pattern / Dark Brown Arms / Light Nougat Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.

The shirt - is it two different colours ?

The picture i have taken is not totally clear - but as in the catalogue, one
is a green based colour and the other a blue

Variants needed? or notes need attaching ?

Thanks

Have they got the Lego stamp on the top of the neck piece?

If so, what are the torso base colours?

on the inside, there is "Lego Group" and a part number that is very hard to read.
Best I could see, was 11164. But that's not a valid part.
Who knows this item?

Hi

It is 11164 but as they are multicoloured they have extension letters and numbers
after them

Try 11164*

Just spontaneous thoughts when creating your account, or were there personal
significance to any of the three bits of proffered self-identification?

No matter how trivial you might think it, others often find such things vicariously
enjoyable. Even if your post seems inconsequential to you, it's often not
to others and can be a fun distraction for both author and readers alike.

Some of the best reads here over the years for me, have been the more personable
anecdotes. I’d like to read yours. That is if you're bold enough to share?

When browsing the newly added parts I noticed 3068bpb1715 (Tile 2 x 2 with Groove

Unless there's a subtle difference I failed to notice the 1715 probably should
be deleted.

I’ve seen white and light bluish gray ABS used in both torso and leg assemblies.

Why is it you'd like to know, Susan? What is it you're trying to understand?

Just confirming if the ones i have are genuine - they have Lego logo - but you
never know

We have this:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2487

We may also temporarily put remarks in the titles of items - not sure about that.
I know someone else asked for it.

That helps not a lot of use when picking an order.

You have change logs in the catalogue now, won't this change be part of that.

The catalog changes are scheduled for April 1. That's only 2 weeks away.
I noticed that this is a DRAMATIC catalog update that will throw the entire store
upside down. Definitely won't be able to take my entire 1.2 million parts
store apart and piece it back together just casually within these next two weeks
between sorting orders. Especially moving all the wedges will be be fun puzzle.

Not gonna object against any changes, they seem alright to me. Except that there's
one change clearly missing from that list: Moving the 2x2 corner brick to Brick,
Modified.. (since plate and tile are there)

I hope this really was THE update everyone was waiting for, and now we're
satisfied..

Hi

In the catalogue of each item - when changed, will there be a log/change note
to say where it was moved from?

At least then i can move stock as and when i need to, or find it without having
to move it !!!

Hope this makes sense

Thanks

Hi

The hair is in the set inventory.

A minifig can only have one item on their head.

The minifig has the helmet - the hair is classed as an extra item

But it could be possible.
You could change Lt Grey etc to "Classic" or "Old" immediately and you could
give a notice period of when bluish grey would change to the existing Lt Grey
etc - during which time members and new members would get used to the Classic
colours

In Suggestions, infinibrix writes:
It will be known to many that I’ve always favoured the idea of using official
Lego colour names not because I like them better or think they describe the
colours better (Many are very odd choices!) but simply because it creates less
uncertainty about what I’m selling and what the customer thinks they are buying
however I’ve made that argument already and now’s probably the time to accept
that Bricklink colour names are unlikely to match that of the Lego group!

However one thing that has always jarred me somewhat is the use of the term ‘Bluish’
to describe the greys when I’m sure if it was’nt for the need to fit around the
older existing greys already in the catalog both would have no doubt just been
given the simple description Dark/Light Grey instead of Dark/Light Bluish Grey?

The thing is the way I see it Bricklink uses its own colour names for three main
reasons:-

A) Lego never provided a colour name for them to use (at least not in the early
days!)

B) They wanted their colour names to better describe and match the actual shade
of colour!

C) They wanted their colour names to be short and to the point!

However when it comes to those last two points colours like ‘Dark Bluish Grey’
and ‘Light Bluish Grey’ both fail to meet that ideal objective compared to most
of the other colour names that have been created by Bricklink. Both descriptions
are lengthy and somewhat misleading? If anything I see more ‘Bluish Grey’ in
a colour like Sand blue than either of these two greys and when all said and
done they are basically just Light and Dark Grey?

So what does it matter and what to do?

Well because they are both what I would call very common CORE central colours
in Legos colour palette it stands to reason that we should perhaps think about
giving them the most suitably descriptive name for them (Light and Dark grey?)
after all that is what any newbie or anyone else for that matter would define
them as?

Both of these colours are ‘very current’ where as the discontinued greys are
not so current and therefore probably don’t warrant the need for the best descriptive
name for them any longer? In fact if we were to rename the existing Light and
Dark Grey as ‘Old Light Grey’ or ‘Classic Light Grey’ I think this would also
be very helpful to newbies when they are confronted with so many different shades
of grey?

I would also consider using the ‘Old/Classic’ tag for some other discontinued
colours too like Brown i.e ‘Old Brown’ I have less problem with Reddish brown
remaining as that is at least what Lego themselves call it but ‘bluish’ is a
made up bricklink term that has little relevance to the actual colour nor does
Lego use the term? Lego may have added more blue to the actual colour mix than
the old greys but in appearance they are simply intended to be a Light and Dark
Grey in a new and current form hence I feel we should refer to them as such?

Also wherever we use the term ‘Very Light’ can I suggest using the term ‘Pale’.
i.e ‘Pale Grey’ instead of ‘Very Light Bluish Grey’ as shorter names are much
easier for people to read off the site and to label/Inventory their stocks even
if that does mean some initial disruption?

Lastly shouldn’t we at least try and mirror Lego’s reference to Grey and use
‘Grey’ instead of ‘Gray’ in the descriptions?

I hope others will share the same logic in what I’m trying to suggest or perhaps
I’m barking up the wrong tree? Thoughts?

purchase the minfigs in which case I'll open the box and sell them.

Is this possible? Or do I have to choose whether to list either the whole set
or the minfigs it comes with?

You can't sell something you haven't got
I understand what you are saying, but in theory you have 2 lots of mininfigs
(one in the box and 1 separate)

What happens if someone buys the set and the same time someone buys the minifigs

Hi

But if you have a second hand thick walled 2x2 brick, how do you know if it is
a 3003old if you are putting new ones in 3003?

I do not know. Clearly it raises more questions than answers.

The inner supports talked about are the ribs on the thin sides, the old bricks
had thick walls.
I think you mixed up the cross supports with those.
Maybe come back to LEGO more

Anyway, the 3003old does have a function for the older thick walled 3003 bricks.
But as the OP points out, there are still thick walled bricks being made.
Especially in trans colors.

I would add the new 3003 thick walled bricks under 3003, not 3003old.

Question for all you purists

3003 has inside supports, 3003old doesn't - no problem with that

The trans coloured ones (i have trans-green to hand), do not have the internal
supports, but are treated at 3003 and not 3003old, as they are still being produced.

Surely this is incorrect

Can someone explain why bricks modelled as 3003old are being labelled as 3003
- and how do you explain that to someone if they wanted to add a red brick to

Thanks

The "supports" in 3003 are more like friction ridges - not supports

Just to be clear, do you mean one more page to view that which you're about

If that's your suggestion, I'm on-board. As it stands now, I'll go
back through my contributions just after submitting, via the
My Activity Overview page. If I find that I've done it wrong or that
it could be better, I delete the submission to resubmit. So an edit page prior

However, when adding or changing pics, you do kinda have such an opportunity

Hi

Not quite sure what you mean, but if you go on that page and enter an item number,
you have no idea what it is? There is no description showing. So if you wanted
to change the title of the item, you would either have to paste and edit beforehand,
or have a good memory

Can anyone check the third picture - comes up too small for me, to see the studs

If they are solid, which I think they are, this wants re-assigning to a 4215a
number

Thanks

the order.

I would like to see a status of REJECTED added to payments. I'm sure I'm
not the first one to have this problem.

Will a status of rejected help?

If you cannot set to NPB, you cannot get your fees refunded as a non transaction

Surely you want to be able to access the NPB if there is a problem, not add another
option

Hi

On the orders page, the grand total is Black, and when the order is marked as
paid by either buyer or seller it is Black, but Bold.

Is it possible to have these as 2 different colours for clarity.

Also it changes to bold when marked as paid, but when marked as Packed (which
happens after paid) if the buyer hasn't marked as paid, it goes back to original
type. Please can it remain at Bold.

Thanks

Hi

For now as we have more changes in discussion, can't we put the colours back
to how they were. I'm sure a few more days/weeks of flesh isn't going
to hurt us.

Then discuss with the Lego Company regarding changing all colours to their colours
- we are part of their group. What they say will be correct !!

For those who may have missed this recent change, we have decided to change the
name "Flesh" to another color name in the BrickLink catalog. I'm not going
to get into the reasons why this was done - the purpose here is to inform you
of what the changes were and how they may affect your BrickLink user experience.

The changes are 5 in number:

1. Light Flesh becomes Light Nougat

2. Flesh becomes Nougat

3. Medium Dark Flesh becomes Medium Nougat

4. Dark Flesh becomes Medium Brown

5. Dark Nougat is added to the BrickLink catalog, which is currently included
with BrickLink's Earth Orange.

Changes to the color names in Item Names are forthcoming. No changes to inventories
are necessary except to give Dark Nougat a place in the system.

How this may effect you:

1. If you rely on any of BrickLink's list pages that can be sorted by color
(set inventory, catalog search, catalog item detail page, etc.) some items may
be listed in a different order.

2. If you have your physical parts inventory sorted by color, you may need to
relabel. Dark Flesh is relatively rare, but if you have it, you will need to
change the labels to Medium Brown. That's the tough one, although renaming
it to a type of brown is a big step in the right direction.

3. If you perchance have the type of Earth Orange from the early 2000's,
you should separate out these parts and relist them under Dark Nougat. This color
is retired and quite rare.

Thanks to our BrickLink color enthusiasts for their input. They've given
invaluable advice over the years and we're happy they were willing to give
some advice this time around as well.

So the transition to a tighter connection (assimilation?) to the Lego-Corp has

Could be, but then they renamed Medium Dark Flesh to Medium Dark Nougat, while
the official TLG color name of that one is Medium Nougat. So the outcome is more
fragmentation of color names.

Hi

Reading various posts recently.

Why is it not possible to have all leg variants in the catalogue.

If you can have torso's, arms, hands as separate items why can it not be
done for hips and legs. (Lego only supply torso's complete with arms and
hands)

They do come apart, its not a problem easing them apart, no different than trying
to take arms out of torso's.

If I have a hips/legs combination with one leg marked or bitten, why can't
I just buy the leg I need?

Am I missing something?

Hi

I know a lot of work goes on behind the scenes with volunteer administrators
who do a damn good job with the catalogue and inventories.

Is it about time Bricklink appointed an (or more) administrator (s) to oversee
the selling side of Bricklink.

Bricklink would not exists without its revenue from sellers putting in time and
effort to sell and pay fees to Bricklink.

Surely it is only fair to sellers and buyers that items for sale conform to the
rules. If items are being mis-represented they should be removed or sellers given
the opportunity to amend their listing.

It would be nice if Bricklink appointed people to oversee the selling side of
the business. Sellers may then start conforming with their listings

A plate by definition has studs
A tile by definition is flat, no studs.

Surely a modified plate should have more studs than flat area and vice versa
for tiles

A lot of these type of items are split between tiles and modified plates

Hi

According to the entry above , its in Ninjago - subset "Other"

Presumably its in other as its not from an actual set - but just a minifig set

Hi

It has been quite a while since I joined BrickLink, and for new members is there
any advice/info forwarded when joining (i.e ensure that you read the Sellers
Terms before Buying)

Just had a new member buy 1 part for 50p (UK), for delivery to Slovakia. Didn't
think he would buy once postage etc added.

Just had a message, thought it would be free postage.

Not a problem, as expecting it, but obviously he was not aware or made aware
of how Bricklink works.

Is such a thing in place or could it be added

Thanks

Hi all.

Suggestion ….

Feedback is not always left by the customer. Positive is left most times, and
a customer will always leave negative or neutral if there is something wrong.

One assumes that if nothing is heard from the customer, it must have been delivered
and was ok. Therefore - Can we have an automated positive feedback say after
2 months(or whatever length of time is felt suitable) of order being delivered
for all orders still showing as shipped. It could also be implemented if the
seller has not given feedback.

Thanks

Hi

Probably a lot of us have been guilty of this, adding an item to your inventory
and forgetting the decimal point, or putting it in the wrong place, thereby creating
an abnormal price.

Is it possible when entering a price for new or used, to flag if the price entered
is say more than xx% of the average prices already on file. Still giving you
the option to enter that price, but just warning that this price is abnormal

Thanks

Recently a shop did this and someone created a shop with their original name

Would it be possible to have an extra field - that say you could put in up to
10 characters that could be added to the shop name to promote various sales without
the shop name changing

i.e.

In set up:-

Shop Name : THIS SHOP
Additional details : - SALE 40%

Combined shop name :- THIS SHOP - SALE 40%

Hope this makes sense

I agree we have over 1 million parts in used inventory that we have been sitting
on for this very reason. I thought it was against the terms and conditions though?

It is because right now the only way to have a second store is to open a second
account. Duplicate accounts are forbidden by the BL ToS. The glaring loophole,
however, is that a member can have use the name of their spouse, sibling or friend
to open a new account and then manage that account just as if it were his own.
the second account is in name only, and I don't feel comfortable with that. I
think it will invite fictional users and much abuse. If your spouse is truly
running the store, OK. But if you are just using their name, I would say no.

Still, a second store under well-defined limited circustances might be a good
idea for some. Before jumping into this, however, we should clarify what those
limited circumstances might be and what additional rules, if any, should apply
to those second and third stores.

Thor

I agree.

Sounds like everyone is on the same page for once.

Not quite everyone. I like to know that if I am in someone's shop, this is it,
and I don't have to wonder whether there's something else in another shop of
theirs that I also want at the same time. I also don't like the possibility
that one seller might have more than one shop on the spotlighted / featured store
page. And plenty of people do fine selling both new and used items. What if
someone decides they want a shop strictly for gear, one for sets, one for new
parts, another for used parts... you get the picture. Why complicate things
for users (especially newer ones) as well as use up more of BL's resources unnecessarily?

I think it works fine the way it is.

Maggie

I agree
