Finally listing a small chunk of a huge bag of Bionicle parts and came across:
part 43855 - Bionicle Mask Akaku Nuva in Pearl Light Gray

While it doesn't show as a known color for any set in this color, I found
in another thread that this color variant appeared in two mask collection sets.

I'm wondering why this color specifically sells (and has sold) for $150+.
The other colors that are almost as rare sell for $5-10 or less.

Making me wish I started going through these Bionicle/Hero Factory parts sooner...

As a person who has sold three of the last eight of these, I can help. The original
mask came in white with the Set 8571. Each of six unique Nuva masks had a starting
color.

Then sets 8597 and 8598 introduced all six masks in all six colors.
AND THEN sets 8599 and 8600 introduced the very rare pearl light gray masks ("Protodermis")
along with krana. Five of these six command the $150+ price tag. Sadly, the Miru
Nuva mask is worth far less, for reasons I don't yet know.

Any ideas as to the effect of a moulding error on the value for this.

Note that one of the six holes is not there, it has the outline of the hole but
is still filled with plastic.

Found this in a large bag of bionicle parts bought for just £3 whilst on holiday.

[p=44815]

Nice condition.

These are pretty rare and listed under the 4-hole chin version. Go to the most
expensive lots for sale, and you'll see them.

We have begun discussions about it within the admin team. We should know soon

From the Pending Images - Items section, it appears that the decision was to
not move forward with the new system. The three images submitted by Axaday are
no longer awaiting approval, but the new names are not in the catalog.

I didn't see Randy's post and grew tired of all of them clogging my pending
items. I deleted the listings, but I could start them again if directed to do
so.

Fair - let's see what the admins want. I have a ton of images to upload once
approved.

Can you provide pics of at least one stage 1 kraata with each tail color?

In Suggestions, ProneToDrift writes:
Bringing this back, since the issue is coming up frequently for me again.

Dear BrickLink admin folks,

It would be greatly appreciated if a different system for listing Kraata (and/or
other dual color molded parts) could be implemented. BIOSector has detailed descriptions
of each Kraata color pairing, which in theory should make it easy to create a
drop down menu based on the head and tail colors.

As an example:
Say I have a stage 1 Kraata that has a metallic green head. I select “Stage 1”,
then “Head Color: Metallic Green/Lemon Metallic.” (Listing the most common name
for the color and then the official LEGO name for that color). Then I click “Tail
Color:” and am presented with a short drop-down list of possible tail colors,
which in this instance are “Lime/Bright Yellowish-Green”, “Dark Green”, “Metallic
Blue/Sand Blue Metallic”, “Red/Bright Red”, and “Dark Grey Metallic”. (These
are the only 5 tail colors that are paired with a metallic green head.)
The final listing title would look like this:
“Stage 1 Kraata: Lemon Metallic Head, Bright Yellowish Green Tail”

Implementing a system like this would ensure that sellers clearly disclose both
colors of the item before posting, rather than being able to list only the stage
and head color and ignore the instruction to “describe the rest.” Many Kraata
listings do not describe the rest of the item; in fact, many of them leave the
description blank, making their listing functionally worthless. Unless I contact
each and every one of those sellers to ask about their one specific item, there
is no way for me to know if it is an item I am interested in.

As a result, a great many items that people have listed in hopes of selling get
passed over and ignored, due primarily to seller error, but it would be really
helpful to us collectors and customers to be able to get a clear and standardized
system in place to help us make informed purchases.

Thank you for reading!

While the implementation of this idea on the site is almost doomed to be ignored,
I truly appreciate the link to a comprehensive list of Kraata color combinations.
This will help me to more accurately list what I have in stock.

Question: How many buyers/collectors use the "lore name" of the kraata, such
as "I have a Stage 1 Fear, a Stage 2 Poison, etc."? I'm trying to decide
whether including this my notes for each listing would help.

In Suggestions, ProneToDrift writes:
I have noticed that a lot of listings for Kraata either do not have their
own photos or do not list the tail colors.

The page linked below has a great set of thumbnails with all known color
variations and stages of kraata. Would it be possible to add a drop down menu
or a select option so that when shops post Kraata they must choose the image
that most closely matches their piece?

That would eliminate the human error factor when posting Kraata and allow
people to more accurately choose what they want to buy based on coloration.

I know deleting extra items are not allowed but this is not an extra item, it was a fluke extra not intentional. Source = 3x sealed examples of this set.

Unfortunately, I'd like to refute the claim of a "fluke". I have the contents
from a sealed version of this set, and I have the extra medal. It can occur inside
the "inner bag" of the blind pack.

  Hello everyone,

Today I am very pleased to announce we have a new Catalog Associate! As you may
see from the Hall of Fame, StormChaser has previously held two catalog-type admin
positions - Inventories Admin and the legacy Catalog Admin - and has recently
returned to the site.

We're delighted he has decided to come back, and I know many of you missed
him as well. He has many ambitious plans for the catalog, and now that we have
more staff on board, it's looking as though we can start making some serious
headway.

So please join me in welcoming him. You can see his familiar profile in line
with the others here:

https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp

StormChaser is also the first member to officially join our new Community Expert
Program. We hope to see the other catalog admins joining in the next day or two,
and the rest of our admins within the week.

Twice today I spent time making LARGE orders (two different vendors) for about
$30 or so USD+. The first had a shipping box size restriction I didn't see
until I was checking out and the seller did not respond to a query for a 'bypass'
in time to be useful. I bought what I wanted on Amazon instead. It will be
here day after tomorrow! Just now I put together another order of over 150 items,
spent 20 min, only to learn it had a ^%#^*^ LOT average of a dollar, and again,
I was required to ask for a bypass. Screw that. I don't have the time for
this nit-noid nonsense. So here's the suggestion: Price your stuff for
what you want and either make the restriction clear on the main page or can the
restrictions. As for me, I'm head for e-bay where I am sure I can get what
I want and where any restrictions are clear.

Sorry to hear that. Certain stores have their reasons for their restrictions
and terms, and your frustration and anger are valid but hopefully short-lived.

We have just one rule: Spend a dollar.

Spend a dollar, and I'll figure out the rest.

I hope you find a store that meets your needs.

In Suggestions, Teup writes:
I would really like to see a new parameter for lots that limits the amount a
buyer can buy of a certain part in any one order. The part would then turn up
in search results and in store inventory showing not more than the value specified.
It's something that many online stores use, notably also LEGO themselves.

So far the way to do this is to offer the desired max amount, put in remarks
how much is left, and put the item on retain. This has several drawbacks, most
of all:
- You have to manually reoffer and modify the remarks all the time
- You cannot see or accurately modify the price and other stats of your inventory
because part of the amount of what you have is hidden in remarks

This could all be solved by 1 simple extra field, that is left on 0 when unused.

Of course, the item should not appear updated for users that still have an order
that has not yet reached the packed status. Of course buyers can buy again after
that, but separate shipping and handling fees should be sufficient to bar the
effect of buyers blowing sudden holes in your inventory.

While I understand the concept of this request, I have a simple question: What
is the virtue of this feature? What makes it good?

Isn't the intended effect of offering products for sale that customers buy
them? Shouldn't the primary goal be to offer the customer what they need?
And if they need all the items in a certain lot, shouldn't we allow them
the delight in purchasing them?

There may be a specific need in your store for always keeping a certain amount
of items in a lot set aside, but I am at a loss to understand why. In an effort
to solve one problem in your store, you may indeed be creating another.

How many notifications on average per week have you gotten from stores? What
