Just spontaneous thoughts when creating your account, or were there personal
significance to any of the three bits of proffered self-identification?

No matter how trivial you might think it, others often find such things vicariously
enjoyable. Even if your post seems inconsequential to you, it's often not
to others and can be a fun distraction for both author and readers alike.

Some of the best reads here over the years for me, have been the more personable
anecdotes. I’d like to read yours. That is if you're bold enough to share?

What of your username, homeboy?

My bad...

You're really OG in the hood then, the BL hood too

My Username (as I've written in the past): Before Bricklink was Bricklink,
it was called "BrickBay". Dan (the founder and owner) got a cease letter from
eBay, they argued that the ***Bay infringed on their name. Dan, myself, and a
few others snapped us a few website names to use. Among the ones I bought was
Brickbuy. After deliberation, Dan decided on Bricklink, so I simply kept Brickbuy.
My original user name was "Owings" named after the town I used to live in. Since
I just moved, I dropped my username, and took Brickbuy as my username. I maintained
Brickbuy.com, just as a link to bricklink for about a decade or so, a few years
ago I sold the domain to a European real estate company (probably my best "sale"
related to bricklink...), but kept my username.

My Store name: In ~2000, I was trying to complete some sets from my childhood
collection and always just seem to mss a brick. Hence, "missing brick" refers
to the need to complete a set. When I needed to choose a store name, I went with
that. I am a builder, seller, and collector of LEGO. I have pretty much a complete
collection of all castle sets, all train sets, all collectible minifigs, and
all SW and castle figs. I also collect postage stamps (since I was young), mainly
from my native Netherlands. If anyone need stamps from the Netherlands, I'm
pretty sure I have what you are looking for....

ID card: pretty much stems from my main interest initially for all LEGO trains,
so the first LEGO train figure seemed like a good choice.

Enjoyable read. Thanks, Paul!

My entire time here on BL, I've viewed you as one of the site’s anchors,
still do. You, Carol and a few others are among those I’ve tried to emulate as
a fledgling BL store some 15 years ago.

But it’s the activities beyond BL involving Lego and otherwise, that are spectacular.
I won’t blab about them here, don’t know if you’d appreciate that or not. Nonetheless,
this offers some idea to others of what I’m referring to: https://youtu.be/TqQJSneam6U

Love cats. Love portmanteaus. It occurred to me spontaneously while trying to
think of a name on the spot, and I loved it, especially the three different primary
pronunciations -- BRICK-it-y, bri-KITT-y, and BRICK KITTY. (I love all three
but generally lean towards the first, like the word "rickety".) Checked it out
and no one had taken it. My partner designed the logo in Photoshop, but awhile
ago a generous and talented user on BL built the cat with real bricks, took a
picture for me, and gave me free use of it, so that logo will be going up in
the next few weeks.

Also, "kitty" is my principle pet name with my partner, going both ways. So there's
some special significance there. It's one of the most positive words in our
lives.

I looked in the mirror and there I was.

Very good. How'd you make sense of it being you looking back, though? It
had to be somewhat confounding

I knew it was me because when I closed my eyes I wasn't there

"I wasn't there" Did you ever work out where you had gone when your eyes
were closed?

I was in legoland

Sweet! I'll join you... meet you in front of the Big Store. I'll be the
one with my eyes closed

I have written to the seller but in all likelihood I might get dismissed as just
another random attempt at a scam

The price is very good so I am afraid to lose this. A similar pair got sold in
Norway in just a couple days and for more money.

Just need help to get me and the seller talking, the ad is on ebay-kleinanzeige

Would appreciate this a lot

what sneakers?

Likely these: https://www.adidas.com/us/lego

There is only one design for women, and (to me) it's hideous. Looks like
something a storm trooper's GF might wear.
