The seller probably tried to be helpful and stacked almost all the parts.
I don't feel I can sell them now as new.

What are your thoughts?

The ones that have been stacked are used.

I know that feeling :-/

Bricklink says:
"New Parts - Parts are brand new, taken directly from new sets or were purchased
"as new" in another form such as accessory packs or Pick A Brick and have been
handled only for sorting. These parts have never been used in any manner. If
a minifigure or part assembly was originally sold assembled by LEGO, its component
parts after disassembly can also be listed as new."

The part "If a minifigure or part assembly was originally sold assembled by LEGO,
its component parts after disassembly can also be listed as new." - so I guess
it's not a problem if you have other cases where they have been stacked.

Of course you can also confront the seller with it, asking for a partial refund
or so (maybe the difference of what the prices are between new and used - if
you're listing them as used in your shop now).

Should have specified that the exception is where it was preassembled by Lego
before packaging for sale.

I believe that BL’s definition of new includes the specification of unassembled.

But which for North Ireland? UK 20% or Seller %?

United Kingdom 20

And what about Monaco?

https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/eu-vat-rules-topic/territorial-status-eu-countries-certain-territories_en

There are special rules for Northern Ireland, from within the EU it should be
20% (based on UK VAT rate I guess) and then the code XI is used as if it were
an EU country. See https://www.avalara.com/vatlive/en/vat-news/brexit-northern-ireland-vat-and-eoro--xi--number.html

As for Monaco, I think that is part of the French VAT system so its 20% is used.

Thanks!

Hi,

as the 1st of July is comming closer, I want to ask if there are any news about
this?

Will Bricklink provide any tools to support EU-VAT-Sellers on that matter?

Thank you very much!

For buyers: yes: top right of the screen.

For sellers: no. You can't see which future buyers you might get when they
bring their carts to a buy.

Hi Russell,

Sorry to "rain on this parade" but how is it something like this stays so well
hidden under the radar?
I've just spent 5 minutes searching all over this platform and cannot for
the life of me find any mention outside of these forum posts of a "catalog news
letter", nor did I receive any communication about the possibility to receive
this news letter.

I would have expected something like this to appear here:
https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?nID=&ID=78&v=c&max=20&mTP=Y
Too logical?

Seems one has to enroll into an e-mail listing to receive it. Wouldn't it
make more sense to just send the newsletter out to every member of this website?
That would even make sense from an HR POV as it might entice lesser / non active
members to return to the platform to do their buying.

This remains up to date my largest pet peeve with this platform and is something
which I've aired in the market place forum as well: this is NOT an intuitive
website. One has to search all over the place for both the simplest of things
as the more technical issues.

One should not need a Forum to find out where things are; IMO it should be possible
for a 5 year old to find the basic functionalities.

OK, rant over and apologies to be negative about something that is clearly a
very positive development.

So, could anyone point out where one would be able to join this newsletter?

For batches of 20-5000 parts with wide variety, low lot counts and few stickers,
I find Studio working the fastest.
Pre-sort your parts by major category, then by shape and end by color. Just place
the bricks in piles on the grid. Collision detection off. Piles of 5 or 10 can
easily be copied for larger quantities. Don't bother with the few parts you
can't find in Studio; you can always add them manually.

Finally, just export the Model Info / Bill of Materials into a wanted list.

If they are plain bricks try parting out a classic set that has a whole lot of
them. If they are special pieces, see if you can figure out a set that has a
bunch of them.

I've never done this because I don't do that, but it seems like it could
help.

thanks that is a good idea

I expect this summer to be even slower.

With just over a couple of weeks to go until 1st July, it would be useful to
know Bricklink's IOSS VOEC, ABN numbers etc in advance, so sellers can set
up electronic customs/CN22 values in advance, rather than leaving it to the last
minute.

$1.43 per fig, but considering the dollar amount you're looking to spend

The track indicates a radius of 24 studs (it’s in the name) so the outer perimeter
of the circle is 2 x pi x r, which gives 150.80 studs. Inner perimeter
use 8 studs less for the radius, so the inner perimeter length is 100.50 studs.

Yeah, well, I thought you already had some of the parts but if you haven’t any,
and if you don’t want to build or complete an old set, I wouldn’t buy them just
to use on a MOC.  Not only this system has been discontinued, it didn’t last
very long.

so say i was going to get "Electric Light Brick 1 x 8 with 3 Front Light Prisms"

bottom?

Nope, it’s a brick with prisms, there’s no light.  But there’s two holes on the
bottom in which you can put the light of a light brick (and the prisms then redirect
the light to the front).

So you need two 1x2 light bricks (with light on top) between the plate and the
1x8 prisms brick.

So, a 2x8 plate with contacts, two 1x2 light brick on top, on the long side (2
studs occupied by a light brick, 4 empty studs, 2 studs for the other light brick

Downloaded brickstore, but when I try to open it, I just get a blank white screen.
Anyone else have that issue (Win10 X86)?

I haven't received any bug-reports for such a problem.
There are however three things to check:

1) In the case the BrickStore installer told you to restart your system, you
really should do it. This is not my idea of aggravating users, but Microsoft
decided to distribute mini-Windows updates with their C/C++ runtime packages
that I have to install alongside BrickStore.

2) Disable your anti-virus (all of them) and see if BrickStore starts now

3) Update the drivers of your graphics card (especially if you don't have
a dedicated one and you are using the integrated Intel graphics)

See also here for currently known problems and workarounds (also has a link to
the Intel drivers):

PS: Use the x64 version if possible - the 32bit x86 one is constantly running
out of memory with the high-resolution item images in use nowadays.

By what?

There are metallic connectors on the side of the studs and on the anti-stud at
the bottom.
They are more visible on the black plate-connectors of the wire.

The “cabinets” go on top of a light brick (here a 1x4, with two lights).
The light brick has metallic connectors at the bottom.
These connect to the metallic connectors on the studs on on of the plate-ends
of the wire.
The other plate-end of the wire connect, by the metallic connectors it has at
the bottom, on the top of the yellow battery box (in which you have to put a
9V battery before).
They connect to the studs on top of the yellow battery also include metallic
connectors.

So the wire goes from the bottom of one side of the battery box to the top of
the other side.
And another light brick (a 1x2) is put on top on the wire’s plate connector.

When you push the grey button on the battery, the lights light.  If you turn
the light brick around, it behaves differently (blink / continuous).

Anyway, page 6 explains the general principle.

I was able to load and use BRICKSTORE just fine on my laptops, so it is definitely
an issue with my PC. Thanks for looking.

OMG, total blonde moment. That's what happens when I start a day without
caffeine. I have no idea why I thought it was July. lol

So I have used brickstock for years to make mass loads into my inventory. Worked
fine yesterday, today it is not pulling in the data from bricklink on the items
I add.

Read that it is no longer being supported, so figured it was time to upgrade.
Downloaded brickstore, but when I try to open it, I just get a blank white screen.
Anyone else have that issue (Win10 X86)?

Is there any other inventory management programs that sellers recommend?

Thanks for looking.

I downloaded Brickstock yesterday with the same data issue.
So downloaded Brickstore (Win10 X86) and it’s working fine for me (I had an issue
with Win10 X64 version not running)

Never had an issue with BrickStore and I know plenty of people that use it too
without issues.

May be a bug, which you can report and get help with here...

Where did you read it is no longer supported?

If it has not been updated to not try to use TLS 1.0 anymore, then it can’t connect
to BrickLink.
