Minifigures are categorized by the set they appear in.

it's why

Minifig No: col016 Name: Cowboy, Series 1 (Minifigure Only without Stand and Accessories)
*
col016 (Inv) Cowboy, Series 1 (Minifigure Only without Stand and Accessories)
Minifigures: Collectible Minifigures: Series 1 Minifigures
isn't under cowboy

I somewhat disagree. My store has never exceeded the 4,500 parts and I've
received 49 orders within 4-5 months. I sold 2-3 sets and a very small number
of figs as well. Most of my parts were relatively common even though I did place
some pretty rare parts a few times.

Right now Bricklink is as slow as it will ever be. I haven't gotten an order
in almost 2 months even though I keep stocking. I'll probably post about
this later on but just keep stocking. When August-September comes around, sales
should pick up, hopefully. Take care, - SB

For one, with a small store such as yours you should probably price your items
cheaper. Use the "quantity average" over six months, for example, instead of
"average" (the former is weighted and the latter isn't).

My advise : adjust some of your store terms:
- REMOVE "I am not resposible for orders damaged in shipping" ... You should
at least feel responsible if not do everything you can when something goes wrong.
Whether or not it's a legal obligation in your country/area.
- REQUIRE Instant payments. So REMOVE "Payment due within 3 days."
As a consequence, you can REMOVE "Please be aware I file nonpayment complaints
for buyers who do not pay."
- Have more stock and make as much noise as you can.

Best regards

From one plastic cat to another: get more stock. There are official individual
Lego sets with more parts than your entire store. Minifigs sell best, and you
only have 2 figs. You need to make a much larger initial investment and be prepared
to stay in the red for awhile as you build up your stock. As a buyer with hundreds
and hundreds of orders, I've virtually never bought from a store with fewer
than 25,000 parts, because I can always find all those same parts plus more at
a bigger store.

Hi, Has anyone ever come across this single book version set of instructions
for 75021 republic gunship?
I can only find the two book entry on bricklink/rebrickable and found no other
references on the web. I also have the two book version and am aware of the US/European
versions which this is neither,
Just wondering if this is a rare/early version
Book no.s 6086637 128282-D0001
Any info greatly appreciated thanks

You could list them as a custom item or a good description of what it is under
its proper listing. There's a call for everything Lego - sometimes it takes
a long time but everything will go eventually.

Does anyone know of anywhere were this information might be held ?

Maybe an unboxing video on youtube? I have a sealed one for sale and didn't
even know that there are multiple boxes inside.

Also, if there is string ran through the sails do you leave it tied off to whatever
pieces they are tied to when you wash the sails? Or untie the string first?

There are probably different regional versions of the box. The box picture is

I will have to try this. It is too early and my coffee has not kicked in yet,
so I am not able to visualize what you're talking about.

Emptying a stockroom is easy. View inventory by availability, select the stockroom
by clicking the selection box, select delete items under update my inventory,
then click submit changes.

In General, Leftoverbricks writes:
Thanks for replying. It's indeed not a very practical solution.
However I found another trick: part out the set to an empty stockroom, let's
say C. Then under Inventory Detail search for all parts from the same set and
sort by quantity ascending. Where it says zero then you don't have the part
available in your store.

Now I have to find out to empty the stockroom C...

In General, macebobo writes:
Part the set out and then check for all those items that do not say "You
already have the same part in your inventory! (View Inventory Detail)"

Not optimum, but this will do what you asked.

In General, Leftoverbricks writes:
  Hi smart heads,
When I check the value of a set for part out I'm always intrigued by the
My Inventory Average, especially the part that tells the number of parts & lots
that I don't have in my store inventory (first screen).

What I tried myself is the "parts from set" function in the extended inventory
search (second screen). When I click Go, I get a list of all parts from my inventory
that also are in the set I'm searching for, but it's not what I want!

Is there a way to find out what those missing 164 items in 53 lots (in my example)
are? Bricklink seems to know, but how can I get access to this data?

I'm thinking of making a wanted list for the complete set and then 'subtract'
the parts that I own in my store inventory from it.
Would that be possible in some way or another? Perhaps by making a combination
of exporting and then reimporting XML files but I don't know how.
There must be a way - at least I hope so

Thanks to anyone who can shine a light upon this.

I'm not sure if Calc can import xml files easily; anyone? There is an option
in the Data menu called "XML Source", but I haven't figured out how it works
so far. I use the low-tech approach - open Wanted list, select all/copy, paste
into a plain text editor to get rid of the pictures, clean up the layout with
search/replace, then copy/paste the whole thing into Calc. Probably not the most
efficient method though.

Yes that is my back-up plan thanks

Here’s how it works in LibreOffice (not sure if OpenOffice got the same updates…):

Data | XML Source opens a dialog

1. Click on the icon to load the XML file.
It should now show the structure of the document on the left (INVENTORY ITEM
ITEMTYPE…).

2. Click on ITEM.
It select ITEM and the attributes below (the future columns).

Now the box on the right is clickable (it starts disabled / greyed out).

3. Click in the box on the right.
4. Click a cell in your spreadsheet.
It will be the top left corner of the imported data.

Now the “Import” button is clickable (it starts disabled / greyed out).

5. Click Import at the bottom.
The data should now have been imported.

I’m not sure there’s any way to export the data afterward.

Also, the XML format obviously doesn’t have pictures… but it also doesn’t include
the parts descriptions, just the IDs.
So BrickStore could really be a better option.

In General, macebobo writes:

already have the same part in your inventory! (View Inventory Detail)"

Not optimum, but this will do what you asked.

My Inventory Average, especially the part that tells the number of parts & lots

There are special rules for Northern Ireland, from within the EU it should be
20% (based on UK VAT rate I guess) and then the code XI is used as if it were
an EU country. See https://www.avalara.com/vatlive/en/vat-news/brexit-northern-ireland-vat-and-eoro--xi--number.html

As for Monaco, I think that is part of the French VAT system so its 20% is used.

Thanks!

Lego is also officially against depictions of violence in non-fantasy or long
ago historical sets so clearly a sniper rifle is not something they would have
much use for.

these great pieces to just one theme.

Haha it's like a puzzle

On the site of the dutch chamber of commerce, I found that when you do not use
VAT (In NL the limit is 20K) but you do have 10K+ sales to EU consumers, you
will then need to use the tax system anyway and so the 20K limit is gone. Source
(in dutch) https://www.kvk.nl/advies-en-informatie/internationaal-ondernemen/e-commerce/btw-regels-voor-e-commerce-in-de-eu/

In this case, it's not possible to be liable for EU VAT and exempt for domestic
VAT. The reverse is possible, in case you stay below the 10K EU limit. But EU
VAT means also domestic VAT.

Quote:
When you make use of the small business scheme (KOR), you have an annual turnover
of less than 20,000 euros. By participating in the KOR you are exempt from VAT.
If you exceed the threshold of 10,000 euros in turnover in EU Member States other
than the Netherlands with your webshop, you become liable for VAT in the relevant
EU Member States. At that time, the VAT rules of the EU member state of your
consumer apply. The Dutch KOR will then no longer apply.

Dang.  “Puzzle” is too kind a word!

I dug a bit more:
– in France, you need a French VAT number to register to the OSS,
— when they talk about the threshold for registration, they don’t say anything
about the new 10k€ threshold for EU sales, it’s still “just” 82,800€ for commercial
activities.

At the same time, everybody says that if you’re above the threshold, you are
liable for VAT.  So you need to register to the OSS¹ but, for that, you need
to be registered domestically.
Catch 22!

(¹ Or in each EU country, but let’s keep it simple )

And all that needs to be done before July 1st / before your first non-domestic
sale.

Yep, but the question is which rule will apply first. Is this new rule of exact
percentages for everybody, and the VAT exemption applying only domestically,
or do you first need to qualify as a VAT registered business in the first place,
and THEN you have to look at what exact percentages to levy? I am assuming the
latter - I think the rule is about making the percentages more precise rather
than making sellers be obligated to pay VAT more often. But yes, if it turns
out it's the other way around, it's going to be an odd side effect.

I eventually found this:

“Quelles entreprises sont concernées ?
Le guichet unique de TVA concerne tous les assujettis, quel que soit leur régime
d’imposition à la TVA : […]”
“Which businesses are concerned?
The VAT one-stop-shop concerns all taxable persons, regardless of their VAT regime”
https://www.impots.gouv.fr/portail/professionnel/suis-je-concerne-0

So one’d need to be “assujettis” (subjected / taxable) first (if you don’t apply
VAT, you’re “non assujettis”).  Phew!

Why can’t the people who write these explanation articles really explain things?

BTW, it’s if you sell 10k€ per year PER COUNTRY, not your total income.
So it’s if you sold over 10k€ last year to country X that you need to apply country
X’s VAT rate to your country X buyers now.

It is my understanding that it is 10000 EUR to all EU countries added together
(except your own country). So if a Dutch sellet sold for example 9000 EUR to
Germany and 2000 EUR to Belgium they'd have to charge the buyer's country's
VAT rate on all their sales in the EU.

The 10000 EUR threshold is based on sales value excluding VAT and excluding intra-community
supplies (sales at 0% VAT to VAT-registered businesses in other EU countries).

My, I found less simplified / less confusing sites, and you’re right.  That’s
a ginormous change!

They went from a 35k€ to 100k€ threshold per country to a 10k€ global threshold.

That means the per-country threshold actually went down to 1€.

That also means there’s even more risks of being forced to collect VAT for other
EU countries while you still don’t have to in your own country.  Madness.

On the other hand, that simplifies BL’s work: always apply buyer’s rate or always
apply seller’s rate.

So this rates:

https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/eu-vat-rules-topic/vat-rates_en

Belgium 21
Bulgaria 20
Czech Republic 21
Denmark 25
Germany 19

Ireland 23
Greece 24
Spain 21
France 20
Croatia 25
Italy 22
Cyprus 19
Latvia 21
Lithuania 21
Luxembourg 17
Hungary 27
Malta 18
Netherlands 21
Austria 20
Poland 23
Portugal 23
Romania 19
Slovenia 22

Haha, that's an interesting point actually. I wonder which takes prevalence
here: The fact you don't need to charge VAT, or the fact that you should
use the percentage of the country of the buyer. I would guess the first, but
it can totally turn out to be one of those oversights in the system..

Well, in the old scheme, the thresholds were high enough that nobody was in the
situation of not being registered at home and having to register abroad.

With a threshold of €85,800 in France, €10,000 sold in EU is 11.65%.  I believe
that’s low, no?
