In Selling, Skullfyre writes:
So I have questions for all of the sellers here. Firstly I am not a seller here
but have sold online for a very long time, other products, other sites.

Here are my questions:

1 - Do you feel/think sellers should thoroughly clean and sanitize their used
bricks before selling?

I ask this because I haven't bought a ton here yet but I have now received
three shipments that I would consider filthy and I needed to clean. Quite disgusting
when they stink or have visible grime on them.

2 - Would you ever send a shipment of pieces to a buyer built into a large
flat brick?

I ask this because I had just received a shipment and all 400+ pieces were attached
into large bricks. This then took me around two hours to disassemble to see if
everything I ordered was actually there. In my opinion, this method of shipping
isn't acceptable.

Thanks for the feedback and opinions in advance.

Ok, so I was wondering if theres a collectors desire for manufacture error parts.
I know that prints on the wrong colour pieces are deffo desirable but what I
currently have are parts that the plastic either didn't quite fill up the
whole mould or seem to have been melted(?) during the manufacturing process.

Any thoughts or are they just trash?

Very slow at the moment, one or two one day then nothing for a few days.

stock so this amount of orders is fine . But I just find it incredibly strange
I have had nothing . Therefore would someone please just try to buy something
from me and obviously cancel at the end point . I just want to make sure nothing
is screwed up along the way ..

Obviously if you accidentally buy I will refund asap .

Sorry to ask but not sure how I can check myself.

Thanks

  Greetings BrickLink catalog enthusiasts!

You will be pleased to learn that we have just today appointed a new Catalog
Associate - Randyf. Randy has served as an Inventories Administrator for the
last couple years and has done a fantastic job. We feel this promotion, though
it has been long in coming, is very well deserved.

As a reminder to those who are still learning about the BrickLink Community Expert
Program, the Catalog Associate position gives admin privileges over the entire
catalog half of our BrickLink system. After one year's experience, Catalog
Associates are eligible for promotion to full Catalog Admin, which gives them
full privileges on both sides, for both catalog and inventories.

https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp

We plan to update the Hall of Fame page very soon. There are several things to
add, including Randy's time serving as Inventory Admin.

Please welcome our new associate!

Thanks for the input, unlikely that anyone would be interested but I need to
sell them somewhere, worth a try especially if I can exchange for something I
can sell in my shop..

Suspect I'll have to advertise in a few places, not really happy using eBay.

I'm talking about a vintage/antique farmhouse table with drawers ( not sure
of age ) and two vintage/antique Lead garden planters ( real Lead not faux ).

All these are heavy and or sizeable, exchange only in U.K. and would have to
be collected.

Effectively the Lego would be sold to me and I pay with these goods rather than
currency.

If it is then anyone interested can contact me and we can try to work something
out, if it isn't then please ignore this message.

So long as one side is a purchase from a store, I think it is allowed. You can
pay in any currency accepted and agreed by a seller, and if they accept furniture
then go for it.

It's been a crazy 12 months for me and the next 12 months look similar.

I've packed all my unlisted Lego as I'm hoping to move in the next few
months.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering from me in the near future, things
may change quickly.

I'm looking to rent to begin with which may prevent me from reopening until
I find a new home, the store may be closed for a long time.

Thank you to all my customers and thanks for all those that have sold me items
so far, also thanks to all those here on the forum that have kept me informed,
entertained etc, even if we don't always agree.

Here's to a new, even brighter future and if all goes well a bigger more
organised store.

Agree with everything already posted, however you may find these old versions

seems old, a bit yellowish and low quality. Also on the back inside the brick,
showing some words: PAT PEND. The LEGO Marking on the stud is also different.
I asked the seller, the seller told me the piece are new never used.

So are these pieces fake or too old?

Or these seems not item 3063 but is 3063a (Years Released: 1955 - 1956)?

Check my attached pics, left one is the one I just purchased, right one is a
new piece for compare.

Thanks.

I believe you've done the right thing now, how you run your shop and how
you use the forum in future will show how heartfelt your apology is, best of
luck in the future.

In Announce, mkmbricks writes:
  Hello everyone,

We realize that we made a mistake. Truly, we apologize to everyone, especially
to those that would like to retain the integrity of the friendly place these
forums are, and rather than adding to it, we took away from the ambient. We behaved
to confidently, and as we saw, we too had many mistakes. We wrote our message
to add to the community, to warn our fellow buyers and sellers, but in doing
so we took-away. We'd like to apologize for the use of duplicate accounts
- we honestly did not know that we couldn't have multiple accounts, we give
our word on that.

We are a "we". We are several people. We came across Bricklink and decided that
we could cooperate to manage one store, just as we would in real life. But, each
of us also had older accounts on Bricklink that we wanted to use solely for "shopping"
and making wanted lists. This account was designated as a seller's account.

However, we admit that we have committed trouble, and now we understand why there
shouldn't be multiple accounts. Although it did not cross our minds to commit
more treasonous things with these duplicate accounts, no one should be able to
do any of that, so we thank, in some way, that this happened.

As to those that gave us feedback on our store policies and responsibilities,
thank you. We have implemented some already, and we have removed the "All sales
final" and No refunds.

Once again, we are sorry for taking away, for we thought we were contributing
- we believe that we came off the wrong way in our message, and further so when
we, out of anger and impulse, decided to defend ourselves. We promise to do good
by everyone as so our capabilities permit us to do so, and perhaps we will listen
and ask more rather than talk and point.

Everyone, we understand that this apology may not be acceptable to many of you,
but we have no excuses. We made a mistake. We want to make up for it.

Thank you,
MKM Bricks

Hardly any visitors and no orders for four days, slowest I've been in a long

At least I'm getting a little free time to pack for moving.

But, for the people on the planet that use the Imperial system, and haven’t had

required the extra step of converting somehow..

Feature Suggestion: Add a setting in the settings menu that allows the display

p.s. May the flees of a thousand camels come to rest in the armpits of all those

Submitted one version under not applicable but can't offer a different colour

Both images are marbled but quite different main colours.

One is marbled Green, I have a second version of this as each plate is different.

Another is on a block , Dark Orange/Medium brown and marbled.

If you find any 2 x 4's in that shade of grey, let me know.

In Colors, gunga writes:
In a large box of loose LEGO, I came across several light gray pieces that I
can't identify the color of. They are from set 41154 and the only gray listed
in the inventory is LBG. The pieces in question are the 1x1 bricks as well as
the 1x2x5 bricks. For reference, the arch, 1x4, and 2x4 are light bluish gray.
The liftarm is very light bluish gray.

I know there is a variance in the light bluish gray, but this is a pretty dramatic
shade difference. And they ALL have the same shade, every 1x1 and 1x2x5. They
are LEGO pieces as I checked the studs and the logo is present.

Any ideas? Or have I overlooked something simple?

You can find early bricks without Lego logo on the studs but not often seen these
days, most have slots but not all.

The long side fill gate was used on a few odd moulds, usually test moulds I believe.

I have seen clone brands with the colour shown by OP.

In Colors, roguemjr writes:

that you cannot read LEGO on the studs. I have parts from bulk lots severely

the logo on the studs.

As stated in other posts, the fact that the fill gate is on the long side of
the part is another sure sign that this is not LEGO.

This is not a big deal for me personally as I am not currently selling here,

The catalog changes are scheduled for April 1. That's only 2 weeks away.
I noticed that this is a DRAMATIC catalog update that will throw the entire store
upside down. Definitely won't be able to take my entire 1.2 million parts
store apart and piece it back together just casually within these next two weeks
between sorting orders. Especially moving all the wedges will be be fun puzzle.

Not gonna object against any changes, they seem alright to me. Except that there's
one change clearly missing from that list: Moving the 2x2 corner brick to Brick,
Modified.. (since plate and tile are there)

I hope this really was THE update everyone was waiting for, and now we're
satisfied..

A huge thank you from me for all that you, Hygrotus, have done and posted over

On Friday we heard from Hygrotus, currently our longest serving catalog admin,
that he was relinquishing his position. This is for sure a setback for our team,

careful in his work.

We will certainly miss him, and we wish him the best for the future. You can
read his BrickLink story here:

The CEP admin page is not updated yet with this new information. We hope to finish
that by the end of the week.

As part of the regular course of building the Community Expert catalog admin
program, we were planning to add another admin to the team this Spring (Apr/May).
That continues to be our plan.

Looks like it comes in both.

A large number of sellers offering pearl light grey although it's not listed
in sets, not all of them will have listed them incorrectly.

Many items exist in colours not found in sets.

I'm going to correct myself here, there was more than one company doing copies,
one being bygg selv once thought to be a possible Lego piece and given the name
of x bricks or x clones until the real name was discovered.

I'll post images if I do dig them out which might help you decide.

Look for the position and size of the tabs on the edges, many get damaged but
easier to see position for comparison to catalogue images when viewed from rear.

Puwi also produced similar windows and doors as Lego's in the later slotted
series not just the flat.

Just sold one of those, looks nothing like its colour classification.

I have another which has been mentioned here before.

x1180 looks nothing like 4740 in the same colour, trans neon Orange.

It's bugged me a while now that the Bionicle eye stalk piece that is included

more of a neon red-magenta color. As far as I know there are no other pieces
in this color, so I understand that it would probably be a waste of time to create
a new color just for one piece, but it may cause confusion for some that the
listed color is not actually the color in which the piece comes.

What do you think? Should another, perhaps unique or special color brick level

I know it’s far from an important consideration now, but it is a fun one

Maybe someone can arrange some type of choice-of-color polling or vote, to see
what the next level color brick should be?

I've seen differences in these over the years, both colour and appearance.

Some have looked more transparent than others.

Looking at the flower stems, they seem to be a bit different in form (maybe out

Anyone noticed or maybe a color error?

How is it possible that new white parts are not really white any more?

are not really white. I have stored the parts in a drawer where there is no sunlight.
How is it possible that the parts are not really white any more? is it a factory
mistake or is it the dark drawer ore what else.
Can any body help me what the problem is.

And we also need a catalog entry for the Duplo pull cart with string and brick.

We're considering eliminating separate catalog entries for smooth slopes
for a number of different reasons and are seeking feedback from the community

shown above.

I came across some old Duplo bricks and do see where the catalog entry lists
differences for the variations on the connections underneath. Is there merit
in mentioning the 'Pat Pend' connection as it is drastically different?

Does it classify as '3011old'?

You can add it to your listing, there are a few collectors, but not enough to
warrant a seperate 3011old listing.
And if you want to do it right, you also need to list the logo inside the studs

Cheers,
Maxx

I agree with Maxx. There is no structural difference about this brick, besides
the notification of 'pat pend'. Which makes it not a candidate for a
seperate Catalog entry. We've tried that ourselves years ago.. many years
ago

But yes there are some 'pat pend' collectors, and also, if you want to
complete a set from that time period it is always nice to have bricks from that
period too!

Cheers2,
Arnoud

Thanks guys, they caught my eye with the radically different slotted connection
tubes, that's what prompted me to at least ask!
