I found that the four 3005 light gray blocks in set 10698-1 that I got are unusually
light when compared to other blocks of supposedly the same color. The manual
lists these as the same as the other bricks in the set, but this is not the case.
In the photo I have attached, the window piece also came with the set. I have
attached other bricks for comparison as well.

I am not sure if this is intentional or a color error at the manufacturing plant,
but these bricks are lighter than the standard light blue gray.

This brick sells for $5 a piece for some reason in the color very light blue
gray. The current set inventory on here does not reflect the lighter color.

In a large box of loose LEGO, I came across several light gray pieces that I
can't identify the color of. They are from set 41154 and the only gray listed
in the inventory is LBG. The pieces in question are the 1x1 bricks as well as
the 1x2x5 bricks. For reference, the arch, 1x4, and 2x4 are light bluish gray.
The liftarm is very light bluish gray.

I know there is a variance in the light bluish gray, but this is a pretty dramatic
shade difference. And they ALL have the same shade, every 1x1 and 1x2x5. They
are LEGO pieces as I checked the studs and the logo is present.

Any ideas? Or have I overlooked something simple?

I got an 1x4 brick but i cannot find the satisfying color in the catalog. I would
say it is either medium brown or dark nougat both do not exist in the catalog
can someone help with identifying the color

the other colors on the picture are reddish brown (left crate) medium nougat
(right crate) and dark orange (slope)

Hello,
I am asking if we can get a list of known colors added to the minifig display
case #752453.
I can confirm that the following colors have been produced:
red
black
yellow
blue
magenta
medium azure
dark purple
dark blue
bright light orange

The following colors *may* have been produced, there is some circumstantial evidence,
but I can't confirm yet:
lime green
dark azure
pearl gold

Thanks for your help.

Wondering if there are any Modulex Foil gurus who can help me out. I've
got a batch of Modules foils (some for my colour collection and some to sell).

Part No: mx1650 Name: Modulex Perforated Foil Sheet 20 x 50
*
Mx1650 Modulex Perforated Foil Sheet 20 x 50
Parts: Modulex

I'm struggling with the colours, I can see many have been listed as normal
Mx colours but I know that these have their own special colours (https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2100&q=colors).

Is anyone able to suggest the colours in my photo. My thoughts are (left to
right) Mx foil light green, Mx foil orange, Mx foil light blue, Mx foil dark
grey (this one is complicated as one sheet looks almost dark bluish grey and
the other dark grey / charchol), and top Mx foil red.

Thanks for any help, struggling here.

Sky Blue is on the left. I can't see the difference. Maybe the Medium Azure
brick is little bit darker?
Maybe BL should consider to merge this colors into one?
We can call it Sky Azure

So i have a

Set No: 6235 Name: Buried Treasure

6235-1 (Inv) Buried Treasure
17 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1989
Sets: Pirates: Pirates I

But the monkey in it seems to have brown limbs and the body is a strange colour.
I don't have much experience with the much older browns but the body does
look more Reddish Brown. However that did not exist in 1990.

I have a photo here against the modern Reddish Brown.

Did the old Brown come in different shades?

Thanks for any help.

Here is a list of all known colors for certain masks released in different sets
between 2001-2004. This list contains masks from sets, gear and the various supplemental

a Brown 32572 Bionicle Mask Komau and a White 32573 Bionicle Mask Huna. Below

a university student, otherwise I would have added them myself. However felt
it was better to let someone who can take their time to do it.

Does anyone have a worn one that exposes the color of the plastic? From this
picture a seller uploaded, I'm thinking maybe it's trans clear, but without
a worn one in hand I can't really tell.

Hi all!

I'm inventorying

Set No: 76175 Name: Attack on the Spider Lair
*
76175-1 (Inv) Attack on the Spider Lair
437 Parts, 6 Minifigures, 2021
Sets: Super Heroes: Spider-Man

This is the first time that happen to me this fact.
In the instructions there are showed 18x Tile Round 1x1 in Trans Yellow but checking
better you can see how 16 of 18 are completely different from the standard Trans
Yellow.

In my picture you can see:

1) Slopes and plates in trans yellow
2) a group of tiles where the first two are trans yellow and below there are
two plate in Trans Neon Green for comparision.

I think that it could be probably due to a different composition of the material
but how I can consider them in the inventory...and most of all, in the shop?

Cheers,
Mirko

These are lego 1x4 tiles I found in my collection, and I am struggling to find
the name of the colour for the piece in the centre. For reference I put next
to it a regular blue plate (TOP) an older yellowed blue plate (RIGHT and 2nd
from top on second pic), a dark green (LEFT) and a dark blue (BOTTOM). This piece
doesn't look old and I have a few more exactly like this. I can't remember
when or where I got these pieces..

I appreciate the help!

Hello everyone,
I've created a mosaic project tha took me quite a long time to figure out,
and I find myself in a pickle having it based on the bricklink color guide. I
thought light grey and light bluish grey were 2 different colors, and bought
them accordingly from separate sellers.
As no one on the site seemed to have light grey in stock, I went to e.bay and
bought quite a big lot of it. Only to find out that it was in fact the same color
as what I thought was light bluish grey.
As I seem to have understood reading through the forum they are in fact the same
thing, as light grey was an old color now completely replaced by what bricklink
calls "bluish".
First of all, what the hell.
Second of all, now I can no longer finish the project, as I really need an intermediate
color between light (bluish) and Dark (bluish) grey.
Is there such a color?

Hi there,

I am currently separating different horse types from each other - there are a
few hundred of them here with me.

I found my way through all the colours and types until the simple white horse
-

here on BL it has 4493c01pb04 - white horse with Black Eyes, White Pupils
and DARK ORANGE bridle Pattern .

On brick owl the same Item number says "white horse blabla eyes and BROWN
bridle. (the picture looks very much like dark orange)

I have a lot of them, and some sure look brown, some sure dark orange (I dont
think it is just faded)
but there seems to be no distinction in the item number...

if I want to sell them - do I put both under the same item number???

thanks a lot for your help!!

So on my colour chart here, you have from top left down, old light grey, new
light grey, new dark grey and then old dark grey.

So what colour are the 2 4085a in the middle. They never were released in old
dark grey, but they dont really look old light grey.

I of course know there is colour variations across all colours but i have never
really seen this in the old greys before.

Not sure if i should sell them as light grey as they aren't really.

Any advice appreciated.

Is there a way to see all available Lego parts in a specific colour - either
here on BL or other sites?

Rather than searching for individual pieces that might not exist in a certain
colour, I'd like to see the parts that are available/do exist to help with
MOCs.

This has been bugging me for a while. Many years ago the color of the rendering
images was changed. Ever since, I have had trouble telling the difference between
some color images. I know others complained about it also. Because of this,
I make mistakes when pulling the right color parts.

I have no trouble telling the difference between any colors of real bricks or
any of the photo images. It is only the part renderings. Maybe if enough people
can't tell either, we can get it changed to something that is easier to see.

So, who can tell the difference between these two images? One is white and one
is LBG. They are screen shots of rendered parts without any editing. What say
you?

Greetings,

I have a couple of torsos that I think are

Part No: 973pb0906c01 Name: Torso Open Jacket Hoodie with 4 Buttons over Medium Blue Sweater Pattern / Orange Arms / Yellow Hands
*
973pb0906c01 (Inv) Torso Open Jacket Hoodie with 4 Buttons over Medium Blue Sweater Pattern / Orange Arms / Yellow Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.

however, the underlying sweater pattern looks sand blue to me instead of light
blue. Is this just normal color variation?

Thanks in advance.

Bright light Yellow, light Yellow and Dark Orange.

Thanks in advance

rule #6 caught me

things like "form a chemical bond", "hazard to you"
... uh?

1. I have never heard about these chemical reactions. Who knows more about it?

2. sooo... Is it illegal to mount a trans-clear brick over a trans-red one? Does
it depends on the specific trans* color?

Hey all, I've googled this but didn't find anything...
Are there variations in trans-light blue? I've got all my trans light blue
1x1 round plates from sealed seats I've bought in local stores and parted
out according to the BrickLink catalog. I can see two distinct batches, a lighter
and a darker variant, often inside the same set. Is this a known "issue" or are
the part listings wrong and it's actually a different color?

Thanks,
Peter

I have several parts 42022 in my collection (16 I think) in Dark Purple. I for
sure got them in a new set as I do not buy used stuff from eBay or else. The
puzzle (nagging question) is that such part does not show up at all in Dark Purple
in any Bricklink Set. In fact the color is totally non-existent.

Any clue what set such part comes from ?

So I started working on a new, more compact color guide a few weeks ago. This
is what I got so far.

As of right now I am missing some pretty easy 1x2 plate or tile entries for Nougat,
Light Nougat, Sand Green and Brown.

Then I may have to get a little creative to fit these on there:

Very Light Bluish Gray

Part No: 53989 Name: Arm Mechanical, Exo-Force / Bionicle, Thin Support
*
53989 Arm Mechanical, Exo-Force / Bionicle, Thin Support
Parts: Minifigure, Body Part {Very Light Bluish Gray}

Rust

Part No: 2335  Name: Flag 2 x 2 Square
*
2335 Flag 2 x 2 Square
Parts: Flag {Rust}

Blue Violet

Part No: 47458  Name: Slope, Curved 1 x 2 x 2/3 Wing End
*
47458 Slope, Curved 1 x 2 x 2/3 Wing End
Parts: Slope, Curved {Blue-Violet}

Light Violet

Part No: 3899 Name: Minifigure, Utensil Cup
*
3899 Minifigure, Utensil Cup
Parts: Minifigure, Utensil {Light Violet}

Sand Purple

Part No: 30375 Name: Torso Mechanical, Battle Droid
*
30375 Torso Mechanical, Battle Droid
Parts: Minifigure, Body Part {Sand Purple}

Dark Blue Violet

Part No: 3710  Name: Plate 1 x 4
*
3710 Plate 1 x 4
Parts: Plate {Dark Blue-Violet}

Light Yellow

Part No: 3022  Name: Plate 2 x 2
*
3022 Plate 2 x 2
Parts: Plate {Light Yellow}

I haven't really started looking at the more unique colors like trans and
metallic colors. I'll tackle those once I finish with the solid colors

I'd love to know what others think and if they have any better suggestions
for parts to use for the colors I listed or suggestions on additional colors
that I might be able to add that I didn't list.

Also if anyone knows a good way to arrange all the colors that's a little
more "smooth" on the gradient (more like a rainbow) than what I did, that would
be awesome.
