Is there a list somewhere of items involved ?

Missed it if there is, this could be interesting.

The catalog changes are scheduled for April 1. That's only 2 weeks away.
I noticed that this is a DRAMATIC catalog update that will throw the entire store
upside down. Definitely won't be able to take my entire 1.2 million parts
store apart and piece it back together just casually within these next two weeks
between sorting orders. Especially moving all the wedges will be be fun puzzle.

Not gonna object against any changes, they seem alright to me. Except that there's
one change clearly missing from that list: Moving the 2x2 corner brick to Brick,
Modified.. (since plate and tile are there)

I hope this really was THE update everyone was waiting for, and now we're
satisfied..

I requested to change the name to Duplo Plant Mushroom...Etc. And I'm not
sure why it was rejected; all others in the Duplo plant category have Duplo plant
in the name.
Anyone got an idea of why it was rejected or should I request it again.

Looks like it comes in both.

A large number of sellers offering pearl light grey although it's not listed
in sets, not all of them will have listed them incorrectly.

Many items exist in colours not found in sets.

I'm going to correct myself here, there was more than one company doing copies,
one being bygg selv once thought to be a possible Lego piece and given the name
of x bricks or x clones until the real name was discovered.

Look for the position and size of the tabs on the edges, many get damaged but
easier to see position for comparison to catalogue images when viewed from rear.

Puwi also produced similar windows and doors as Lego's in the later slotted
series not just the flat.

Some have looked more transparent than others.

I came across some old Duplo bricks and do see where the catalog entry lists
differences for the variations on the connections underneath. Is there merit
in mentioning the 'Pat Pend' connection as it is drastically different?

Does it classify as '3011old'?

You can add it to your listing, there are a few collectors, but not enough to
warrant a seperate 3011old listing.
And if you want to do it right, you also need to list the logo inside the studs

I agree with Maxx. There is no structural difference about this brick, besides
the notification of 'pat pend'. Which makes it not a candidate for a
seperate Catalog entry. We've tried that ourselves years ago.. many years
ago

But yes there are some 'pat pend' collectors, and also, if you want to
complete a set from that time period it is always nice to have bricks from that
period too!

4. The additional notes for all three entries will be updated for brevity

on July 8th, 2020.

Why are these changes necessary?
The changes are necessary because Part 4623 comes in both 5 MM and 6 MM horizontal

include incorrect part variants.

How will these changes affect BrickLink members?

I listed them under light grey and added a a note in the comments for buyers
to see.

The main reason to include it in the catalog is so I can find more!
(If people find any, let me know!)

It could be nice to include the version with split tubes. But only for people
looking for bricks from that specific time period, as far as I know there is
no functional difference.

Personally, I think that I would not include 3001oldf1 or 3001f1 in the catalog.
I use them now we have them, and there is a visual difference that some people
might care about because they are used for transparent parts. Solid color parts
have the same inner surfaces, but we simply use 3001old or 3001 for those because
you can't see them.

I can probably provide at least 20 variations of these molded lines on the inside
of 2x4 bricks. As a collector of 2x4 bricks, I think that these mold details
are to small and to variable to mention in our catalog.

I've had mixed results too.

I've bought bricks from a seller just labelled used and they've been
like new, from another labelled exactly the same and they've gone straight
into my scrap bin.

Some labelled as normal wear for age and they've been gauged, bitten numerous
times or absolutely covered in scratches,not light wear marks or odd scratches.

Unfortunately we are likely to see negative changes or changes perceived by some/many

Easier to remove things that exist before adding beneficial changes.

Check out those listed under 3001special, paying attention to descriptions, however

They regularly sell between £20 - £80 each, less at the higher price, I'd
guess £30 each is not unusual for one a little rarer.

The old advice comes in here, price high and be prepared to come down, you could
ask for offers if already listed and then sell it through BL at the new price.

I had one brick, not 3001special which I didn't want to sell despite numerous
generous offers but eventually sold through BL at a very good price, couldn't
say no.

However a lot are sold under £10.

Also check out Flickr if you have time to dig around and find those being offered
there, many of the collectors will post items on offer.

Howdy. I've been collecting for a few years now. Love 'em all! Do you
know of Bricklink - it takes a while to become familiar, but if you'd like
to invest some time there, they would happily answer any of your questions.

Mursten, Bayer, BASF, Grangemouth, Wrexham, and other manufacturers were all
contracted by LEGO to produce plastics for their bricks. LEGO provided them with
2x4 molds as test examples.
I'm not sure as to how they all aquired the molds they did, but the Mursten
ABCD bricks are in relation to a clutch test - how firmly they grip to another
piece.' A' being the tightest clutch and 'D' being the loosest.
Due to those test examples LEGO now use the 'C' as the brick of choice.
Modulex is an Architectural scale brick - being an ignorant Aussie, I'm not
familiar with it exactly. They're ultra-cute, that's all I know about
that.
The milky, marbled, and semi-transparent bricks were all produced by the aforementioned
companies because they were pumping coloured plastics into the molds they were
provided with without cleaning the injection pipes before adding another coloured
plastic - in the case of the milky/semi-transparent, they were not adding enough
colour to the mold?
I will do a quick research on prices for you regarding the bricks I've offered
you.

I can tell you that I have never seen a double A, B, C, or D brick being offered
for sale, let alone a complete set. Having said that, does not mean they do not
exist.

If you're not in a rush, I'm happy to get you more information!

Have to agree with Nathan here, post a few pics and just watch who appears.

There are a number of bricks associated with Wrexham too, many of which aren't
that well known and not particularly collected, maybe only one or two of us.

These look like many other standard bricks, nothing unusual, the only one I would
pick out other than the waxy looking bricks are those UK sideways logo bricks.

Samsonite of North America produced these sideways logo bricks too but the mould
markings, studs, logo style, spruce position are different as are the colours
available.

They come in CA and ABS.

I had the same issue with some heads that in theory couldn't possibly come
from a particular set, I know they did but I had no proof sadly.

It does look like Brittle blue and from the description of how easily it broke,
i believe it is.

As has been said, it is known as brittle blue as even the most gentle squeeze
can make it literally explode in your hands leaving very sharp edges that can
cut.

Sun faded or discoloured blue looks a deep greenish blue but still behaves
normally, not easily broken just like other faded colours.

There is a small market amongst collectors as a curiosity, especially any 2 x
4's, i have the 3001 and some others but not the duplo bricks.

Appears to be a colour quality problem at some time, they regularly turn up,
have some myself.

I'll eventually list mine but I haven't got to them yet, I'll probably
add them with a note under Light grey or LBG depending on a close comparison

to do with variations other than those I consider yellowed which will have that

I have several thousand parts in light grey to sort and list so I will have to
think about this carefully.

Takes an absolute age, good light and examples of lbg parts to sort them, going
to be a mammoth task.

a It always makes me giggle when I see the use of the word (and forms
of the word) ‘mold’ or ‘mould’, particularly in the context of bricks, as we
are talking here. Imagine the term “molded design” as a brick designed to carry
a fungi ecosystem on it, rather than a plastic heat- and pressure-formed designed
shape.

Since the English language is unique to most languages of the world being that
it is has freedom to form and re-form, lets now refine the words mold and mould.
Right here goes: ‘mold’ is a “frame for shaping something”; and, ‘mould’
is “a furry growth of minute fungi”. I will inform Mariam-Webster and
Oxford of the changes they need to make to their dictionaries.

The dark bluish shovel the two blue pieces the guns ans the 1x2 thing with those
