It would be usefull for sellers, at least for me, to have a Sorting feature on
order received , so that I can sort the items by remarks as this is where I put
the location of the inventory items

It already exists and works well if you pull orders by the detail page. Works
on orders placed and received.

Looking at the listings, some sellers provided their own pictures which show
a polybag in addition to the box. It looks like the polybag could stand on its
own without the box, even having the set number on it. I would think it's
easier to ship/distribute and save on packaging if the box wasn't included.
Why would Lego double-package it like that? Did they used to do this for all
of the small sets?

This has nothing to do with the size of the set. All or at least most town
sets from 1997-2000 had individual printed bags. It is just a special case here
that all parts are included in one bag so it looks like it could also be a polybag
set.

(Pics saved from catawiki some time ago.)

Set No: 4561 Name: Railway Express with Transformer and Speed Regulator
*
4561-1 (Inv) Railway Express with Transformer and Speed Regulator
618 Parts, 9 Minifigures, 1999
Sets: Train: 9V

Had similar bags. Also approaching the Lego time of near bankruptcy. The only
waste I see is the printing though, as the parts would have been in a bag anyway.

Should make this 2 suggestions as I agree with #1 but not #2.

Is it possible to get the tracking number displayed on the orders placed screen
(as it is on the orders received screen)?

As a buyer it is annoying to have to send an email to the sender to request the
tracking number, when most times they have entered it into the system.

Regards,
Joe

But this shows on the order detail page under grand total.

I have enjoyed Lego most of my life, but it seems that Lego seems to want to
make me give up on them. I have had to increase shipping rates and add a processing
fee to offset the increasing fees. The addition of the VAT taxes has made it
nearly impossible to make money on Bricklink. It increases the final sale which
in turn, increases the fees that both Bricklink and PayPal take from you. You
have to notice the huge decrease in stores and customers. What is everyone else's
thoughts on this?

Well that is what you get when you price so low, you have to make up for it in
other areas. From the 2 listings I saw in your shop (a minifig and slope) both
were near the cheapest available on bricklink.

I'd say sellers driving the prices into the ground like you have been doing
is far worse than VAT/Fees/Taxes you are complaining about. When you price this
low expect to do a ton of work for only a little profit.

Looks like a set redesign.

Could you please list the print numbers on the instruction manuals for the one
that uses the 3L axle and the one that uses the 4L axle?

Thanks,
Randy

Sure, instructions with 3L axle is 4168832 and 4L axle is 4176528. The 3l set
also has no bushings in the inventory.

Thanks!

Are there any other differences between the two sets of instructions besides
the axle length and the half bushing?

Nope, I couldn't find anything else they changed.

#1. Not sure I have this post in the right forum but it concerns my inventory
so I took a chance.

Is anyone else having trouble with missing inventory? Not sure if it's the
latest BrickLink update or a glitch in the system somewhere BUT I've had
so much inventory disappear that I closed my store to verify it.

So far, and I'm only done verifying two colors, I've had to re-add about
a fifth of my pieces back into my inventory. I have the pieces but they disappeared
from my BrickLink inventory and I would love it if someone could explain HOW
that happens, and IF the problem will be fixed! Also, have had to delete those
pieces I've already sold that somehow showed back up in the system.

This is the 2nd time in the last few months I've had to go back and re-add
or delete inventory that got dropped or reappeared (and it's a pain!!).

Hmm, well I don't have this happen except for parts I intend to under count
on.

Parts sold in 2020 so far: 131,567
Parts added to store in 2020 so far: 123,346

How it happens is that you probably made some mistakes. Simplest solution is
usually the correct one. I see nothing that needs to be corrected from my end.

This is brought up quite often, over and over, and yet still some people like
this archaic 90's style bulletin board garbage. It's poor and most people

You can't get notified of any threads here, the best way to find it is to
click those little chat bubbles by your name and it gives you a list of your

I'm sorting out a large batch of mixed sets and when it comes to minifig
head mold types, most that I have are the hollow stud version while catalog says
I should have the blocked open stud version for the sets I identified. Since
these sets are mixed, I cannot justify alternate version (and also, minifigs
have no alternate parts). However, given how many of these discrepancies I have,
I'm wondering if the catalog (i.e. BL community) is using "blocked open"
for unidentified type or lego is using these mold types interchangeably in so
many sets.

Also, I see no functional difference between these 2 versions. Why do we have
two entries at the first place? Is there anyone who would be upset receiving
one mold type vs. the other? The modern heads are very hard to identify accurately
and these mold types just make it even more painful.

Some people would be upset, mostly just collectors. The catalog might
mention the minifigure has come with an alternate head but is never part of any
inventory. Most of the issue with the heads comes down to having the appropriate
head for the age of the set. Its also pretty easy to spot, so I see no issue
with it and have created a number of "c" variation entries myself when a new
one turns up. It seems intimidating but is quite simple.

This request will not be accepted. As has been stated, it has been found in many
sealed sets. By definition, extras do not have to be present in every set in
all markets to be included in an inventory.

Cheers,
Randy

I assumed that would be the case but it did reveal some interesting information
at least. I supposed I was a bit irrational in my initial statement.

I didn't realize that there are different item numbers on the back of the
US vs EU packaging for the series.

That's not the standard.

Ok, this is true. Sometimes I have a hard time wrapping my brain around extra
items, and the need for them.

Do you have more than 1 example?

The one I inventoried from came from Walmart in the USA and I didn't sell
it to LearnedBrick.

Someone (not my customer) messaged me a few days ago to say that they didn't
get the extra in theirs and I told him that all of mine did, but on further thought
I cannot really say all of mine did. I had a case from the United States and
one from Europe, so I opened and sold several of these. I saw others with extras,
but it did not occur to me to ensure that they all had it and I've sold all
I had except mine that I inventoried from.

Well seeing 2 people have them does make a difference and I think it would be
absurd to poll people to see what should or should not be added as an extra.
My case was from Austria and had no extras. I just remembered I had one identified
by feel from the US and opened it, there was an extra...

Unfortunately, I'd like to refute the claim of a "fluke". I have the contents
from a sealed version of this set, and I have the extra medal. It can occur inside
the "inner bag" of the blind pack.

Are you more likely to get it or less likely?

Do you have more than 1 example?

I know deleting extra items are not allowed but this is not an extra item, it was a fluke extra not intentional. Source = 3x sealed examples of this set.

  Hi
Just wondering whether this is a different catalog number for torsos with no
clutch or would I need to mention this in my listing?
Thanks
Stay safe everyone
June

If you are referring to the ribs inside the torso there are no separate part
numbers for that.

Who is willing to start a search site to replace goatleg?
I'm sure people would be willing to pay a small fee to use it. I would.

I have my own copy of the mini-figure-outer site that I always found to be far
superior. Could not get used to a frame above (goatleg) unless I rotated my
monitor to portrait mode. I'm a tab person.

Nice part is with your own copy you can move things like the colors yellow and
light flesh to the top of the list under head colors. I also ripped out the
color headings and tweaked it to make it as fast as possible (for me anyway).

Any reason there are 6 entries for the same sticker sheet? Can the name not
contain all the different sets it comes from?

[p=8777stk01]
[p=8778stk01]
[p=8779stk01]
[p=8780stk01]
[p=8799stk01]
[p=8800stk01]

I prefer it this way. It's a rare occurrence and changing it would save only
a few entries while making the entire sticker sheet database inconsistent.
I see how it can be a problem when you're looking to buy one, but I wonder
how often this really happens?

So are you saying it is preferable for the database but not for buying and selling.
This seems like the better solution?

Would you have 6 entries on your own webshop?
