Are there animals moving to the figures category?

Would it not be simpler to write a guideline, add the catalogue dimensions for
odd sized parts and do away with this issue of having packaging dimensions added
once in lifetime by forum request?
The standard 2 x 4 brick has the following catalogue dimensions:
2 x 4 x 1
Its current packaging dimensions are:
16 x 32 x 11.2
The correct millimeter dimensions to 2 decimals are:
15.86 x 31.72 x 11.40
So:
DimX for 1 Stud: 7.93;
DimY for 1 stud: 7.93;
DimZ for 1 stud: 11.40
So by having the correct standard measure of the standard in LEGO terms (a 2
x 4 brick), now the stud measurement of any part can be worked out and added:
So for [p=66954c01]
we have 10.40 x 54.42 x 5.01
Catalogue dimensions: 1.31 x 6.86 x 0.44
Packaging dimensions as a result: DimX: 10.39, Dim Y: 54.40, Dim Z:5.02
There is still a minor rounding error, but that would still be infinitely better
than the nothing error we have at present.
And for it stays 2 x 4 x 1 or DimX: 15.86, DimY: 31.72, DimZ:11.40
That should then translate packaging dimensions as near as possible (personally
I would prefer catalogue dims to 4 decimals (for 1.3115 x 6.8625 x 0.4395 in
part 66954c* as above but lets not be pedantic) as soon as a member adds catalogue
dimensions. Certainly this will be much easier than the current cobbled together
system where some parts have odd dimensions and others not and where some parts
have incorrect packaging dimensions as a result of these not being tied to the
catalogue dimensions when added through forum requests.

Here I'll help you
Catalogue dimensions must be added in relation to the actual measurement of
a part in millimeters as follows: W: 7.93mm = 1 stud; L: 7.93mm = 1 stud; H:
11.40 mm = 1 stud.
And then add a roadmap project to get these dimensions fixed along with the decorated
part weights asap, same form same time same approval. Easy.

| When new parts are added to the catalogue and these parts have only a catalogue
weight, please do not default the item to weight bound for packaging type. Just
as IC is not possible if the item does not have a weight entered for the catalogue,
it should be just as impossible for IC if the volume is patently a problem.
This seems to be the only workaround at this time to make the inventory search
function for "Instant Checkout Unavailable" useful.
Case in point this part, which do not appear on that list even though all of
the information to determine whether or not IC should be applied, is not provided:

This part qualifies for IC, will fit my requirements for medium letter by weight,

The argument that IC is useful enough without being too precise is not valid
if BL do not give sellers the reporting tools required. Setting defaults with
the potential of causing sellers financial loss, without giving sellers the opportunity
to address the issue on listing the item, is not useful.

| Please add a line for "Orders in this store" to the quote page. I cannot remember
the user name of every buyer so I will miss return buyers and quote incorrectly,
leading to acceptance and costly financial transactions to refund discount monies
which should never have been paid. Sometimes buyers forget they have coupons
or to ask for the coupon or coupons expire in which case I have to add those
discounts manually on quote. It is a bit difficult to quote correctly if not
all of the information is available.

| On checkout from my store, please stop:
Pre-selecting a shipping method in my store for any buyer to use.
I cannot and do not set those defaults. BL cannot assume for itself the right
to pick and choose defaults for any contractually determined matter between myself
and the buyer, on my behalf. The shipping method to use is the one the buyer
actively chooses.
I had an order this morning where the buyer told me in prior negotiation what
he wanted. He was then able to place an order using a different shipping method.
This because that experienced buyer did not think to change what was pre-selected
by BL during checkout.
I also had an order last week from a new user who did exactly the same thing.
It is not for BL to choose what shipping method is applicable for any buyer.

Add Sets Members Want - A project to discuss and possibly add pickable
models, in-store builds, and other similar sets to the catalog...
Project Review: This project traveled directly from under consideration to completed.
There were no existing guidelines discussing these kinds of sets, so no policy
changes were required. Instead, after administrative discussion, the majority
were in agreement to rescind the unwritten rule that prohibited addition of these
sets.
Date first added: December 6th, 2018
Date work began: June 13th, 2020
Goal for completion: July 1st, 2020
Date actually completed: June 17th, 2020
Suggested by: Many members
Maybe this is not so complete as catmins would like to believe it is as it appears
that none of those sets are in the catalogue at this time.

| I have some from sets between 2008 and 2010 that have a white
knot on the tie and Light Grey lapels, sides and button prints, as in the part
on the left in the image.
The assembly on the right is from sets in 2007, 2010 and 2013, which has the
same torso as the current entry for this part - black knot and Dark Grey lapels,
sides and button prints, on the right in the image.
Is this a misprint on those torsos I have or is it a differrent torso altogether?

| Can we please get a field in the my inventory page for a minimum stock level
for each item and can that please be used to trigger an automatic entry to a
dedicated wantlist as soon as the re-order level is hit?
So for example what I would want is say in red, I would like a minimum
inventory to be in my store of 30. I have 60 at present. An order comes through
for 40, and immediately that part in that colour gets added to my dedicated
wantlist for inventory.
The benefit would be that it is simply a wantlist that needs to be checked daily
and not inventory levels in brickstock or some other off-site inventory management
system. Also obviously easier to re-order as needed, especially for sellers like
me with very long lead-times.
Of course, the best would be if there could be a complete inventory management
on BL as to which this would just a small part of because I really find it frustrating
that inventory management on-site is essentially just the selling price and quantity
available, but... baby steps

| These minifigs:
are at present listed in the catalog as the minifig with headgear in the case
of the first two, and a backpack accesory that is built up from parts for the
third.
As the minifigs are used interchangeably in the each of the three sets they each
come from, should the catalog entry not rather reflect the minifig without any
headgear or accessories? The images below are from the instructions in each of
the sets, where it is shown that the minifig is used as a base entry without
any accessories or headgear.
It is my understanding that the figs were originally listed to reflect only the
minifig as it appears in the first of any of the three sets that it will be used
for.
Alternatively, if the catalog is meant to be showing a minifig complete as per
the instructions, should all the accessories from all three sets any one minifig
represents, not then be the complete catalog entry?
