When adding photos to the catalogue, can you only add 1 at a time for the same
part?

I just added 2 photos of a new part that i added to the catalogue, one a rendered
photo and the other showing the part from 2 angles. Now it only shows the second
photo i added and the other has disappeared.

Cheers

Hello everyone,

Today I am very pleased to announce we have a new Catalog Associate! As you may
see from the Hall of Fame, StormChaser has previously held two catalog-type admin
positions - Inventories Admin and the legacy Catalog Admin - and has recently
returned to the site.

We're delighted he has decided to come back, and I know many of you missed
him as well. He has many ambitious plans for the catalog, and now that we have
more staff on board, it's looking as though we can start making some serious
headway.

So please join me in welcoming him. You can see his familiar profile in line
with the others here:

https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp

StormChaser is also the first member to officially join our new Community Expert
Program. We hope to see the other catalog admins joining in the next day or two,
and the rest of our admins within the week.

Hi

For now as we have more changes in discussion, can't we put the colours back
to how they were. I'm sure a few more days/weeks of flesh isn't going
to hurt us.

Then discuss with the Lego Company regarding changing all colours to their colours
- we are part of their group. What they say will be correct !!

I had a crazy week last week and didn't get a chance to manually pull my
Brickarms inventory before Lego kicked it off the site. I was hoping it would
be somewhere that I can still see what I had in my inventory. Does anyone know
if this is possible? Otherwise, I have absolutely no way to find them in my shelves
without access to the old listing details. Am I just going to have to stumble
across them over time as I pull other orders and see them? I was hoping they
would go into stockroom with no option to relist or something like that, not
just completely disappear. I should have screenshotted it so I had a record of
my previous inventory and its location, but didn't get a chance to between
when I saw the notice and when they pulled the listings.

in your list of item for the 1880 set, you mention 3 of the green plant flower
stem (3741), but to complete the set you need 4.
Also, you listed 4 green window 1X2X3 shutter, which is the case, but on the
original list of pieces, there is 8 listed, I don't know why.

I can't help myself from returning to this topic.

It is not right to erase people who have contributed to the catalog and turn
them into a meaningless number (and a username that rhymes with "loser.").

The first attached image shows people who have contributed a set inventory to
the catalog. For each person it was only one inventory, but it was time they
took out of their day or week to make a contribution.

The second image shows people who have added items to the catalog. One person
added 113 items. Another added 97 items. Yet another added 87 items. And so
on down the list.

Some of these unregistered users are no doubt dead. Some have moved on to new
pursuits. Some may be in a coma or in prison. Who knows why any one person
hasn't logged on or may never log on again?

BrickLink wants contributions. BrickLink wants an involved community. But when
BrickLink treats former contributors so dismissively, by erasing them into meaninglessness,
it makes me think they have no respect for contributors.

BrickLink contributors deserve better treatment than this. Anonymizing people
who have contributed to the catalog was a poor decision. It was a careless and
heartless decision.

I urge the site to reconsider the decision to anonymize any former catalog and
inventory contributors.

I feel like Bill in that I find myself making observations and then posting them
in the forum whilst saying, "Hmmmm." This is my Bill moment.

I just searched for the Where Are My Pants person from The LEGO Movie. The system
excluded 75% of my keywords. So . . . what's the point of titling this character
this way if 75% of the title is useless?

Wouldn't it be better to simply title him "Pants Guy" and leave it at that?

What are the differences in these parts? The images seem to me to show exactly
the same parts in different colours.

Hi,
I recently purchased a used 7662 MTT set. Instead of the 4460a reddish-brown
slopes listed in the BrickLink inventory, it came 4460b slope. I also noticed
the set listed 4460b slopes in DBG as a counterpart. I know it is a longshot,
but could someone who purchased this set brand new check if their set's 4460
slope has hollow studs or open studs. Thank You!

I have 11 new Naginatas all from the Titan Mech set 70676. However, there is
an obvious color difference among them when held up to the light. 5 of them look
trans-black, and the others look trans-dark blue (even the staff of the piece
has a bluish look when held just right in the light).

But the current Bricklink catalog only has Naginatas with a trans-orange blade
and trans-light blue, both of which mine don't fit. Does anyone else with
these pieces notice this color discrepancy? I'm not sure how to list these
pieces as I feel I'd be listing them incorrectly.

There seems to be an increasing trend of identifying patterned parts by simply
calling them Pattern 1 and Pattern 2. Here are three random examples of recent
parts, but I could go on for a while.

*

*
11203pb048 Tile, Modified 2 x 2 Inverted with Black and White Machine Pattern 1 (Sticker) - Set 10266
Parts: Tile, Modified, Decorated

Part No: 11203pb049 Name: Tile, Modified 2 x 2 Inverted with Black and White Machine Pattern 2 (Sticker) - Set 10266
*
11203pb049 Tile, Modified 2 x 2 Inverted with Black and White Machine Pattern 2 (Sticker) - Set 10266

I would caution against this practice of non-descriptively titling items. In
fact, I was hoping the site would move away from things like this, not more toward.

Although I suppose we could greatly simplify all titles by simply going the Mini
Upper Part "No. 1470"
route that TLG uses.

Inconsistency is a pet peeve of my, so you know it's my last nerve on this
issue.

I haven't parted out much lately, but I got an opportunity to part out 3
of the 2019 Star Wars Advent Calendars

Set No: 75245 Name: Advent Calendar 2019, Star Wars
*
75245-1 (Inv) Advent Calendar 2019, Star Wars
24 Sets, 2019
Sets: Holiday & Event: Advent: Star Wars

For the last 9 years TLC has included a Winter-ized SW figure in the 24th position
on the calendar. I saw that this last year was a Porg Santa. I didn't look
at the BL inventory to see how the subsets were being handled before I started.
I wanted to preserve the Porg Santa as a complete fig and part out all the other
"parts only" droids.

After finishing the sorting, I went to upload the part-out to BL. And that's
when I found it....Porg Santa was a part out...grrr. But the Gonk and Mouse
droids were left to sell whole...grrrr.

Who decides this stuff? How hard is it to be more consistent? I know there
is a lot of discussion about "What SW Droids are figures" and what are not.
But geesse, SMH.

Just my two cents.
Thanks for reading, no changes are expected.

Hi All,

Ive been looking for through the catalogue for various parts and have found that
some lots are coming up as zero available but still showing up for sale.

I was looking at 3700 technic 1x2 brick in dark green last week and the stores
showed up with zero in stock in the catalogue. I checked again today and all
resolved.

I then looked at orange part 6005 and same thing.

Whats going on ??

Seems off to me or is it related to these rarer parts ?

Help please

I am new to Bricklink. I recently decided to get out my lego to rebuild some
of my old Lego Star Wars sets. There were 2 sets I wanted to build but noticed
I was missing some pieces. I ordered two pieces last night (awaiting arrival)
for the first time, but then realised I needed more pieces for the other set.But
it says that 2 stores need my attention, why is that?
Thanks

On My Inventory the dimensions for set

Set No: 7965 Name: Millennium Falcon
*
7965-1 (Inv) Millennium Falcon
1229 Parts, 6 Minifigures, 2011
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6

the size of the Box itself (!)

How were these dimensions populated and what can I do to remove them altogether
(not just one by one)?

(Or better yet to mass-set the dimensions correctly.)

Thanhk you again.

For quite some time now there have been discussions on the forum about catalogue
changes as well as other areas of improvement to the site (Performance etc.).
There have been lots of different people involved and Russell has commented on
a couple of occasions but of course nothing is out in the open for plans at present
whilst the Lego takeover completes.

One thing I find strange and that is with all the talent (Programming wise) that
exists on the site, coupled with the technical Lego knowledge that also exists,
no one other than a couple of people have chimed in about getting some senior
analysts involved with a plan to redevelop. This is a very complex site but it
can be broken into segments |(elements) many of which can be handled by existing
software. For example the core processing behind the site is an order processing
system. We are aware of at least two products which could deal with that side
of it easily and have been built with 'linking in' other elements in
mind.

Inventory control, which in our opinion, is an essential element which has been
needed for some time is also out there and fits nicely into either of the two
above products. Again this needs an analyst to look at it and report to the decision
makers what needs to be done. It doesn't, with all due respect, require a
programmer to sit down and write the code first.

The catalogue is a different animal and needs a huge amount of thought. The data
currently held is priceless - not sure even Lego have it all, so that needs some
TLC and a significant amount of time spent to come up with the best way forward.
But, and it is a little word with a great big meaning here, the costs of doing
this are nowhere near outrageous and if libraries of code can be used e,g, order
processing, inventory control etc, then huge amounts of money and time can be
saved in achieving what is required.

The redevelopment of this site will not cost a fortune and it was well within
the means of the former owners to accomplish. They chose, for whatever reason,
not to do that - Lets hope that Lego will look at it differently.

Lets get behind hiring some senior analysts and get the project off the ground.
There was never a better time to start than now. With the strength of Lego and
its marketing machine behind the site who knows where we can go.

Doing some shopping and browsing and I have come across a few items that say
they are scheduled to be deleted from catalog. I’m curious if that mean removed
so I can no longer find/buy that piece and if that’s true then how would you
go about obtaining it? Also why would any piece be removed from the catalog?
Perhaps I’m not understanding the why behind it. Can someone explain to me please

I think the "and Medium Blue Base" should be dropped from the description.
What do you all think?
I honestly missed this when parting out and just sold a black one, which is completely
black as is the one in the picture, don't think one was ever made with a
different color base than the cannon.
Should I post this somewhere else to request this?

Now that Lego has acquired Bricklink do you think the official Lego part numbers
will be more widely used/accepted on BL or will Lego in fact actively want to
encourage the use of their codes on the site as a primary means of identifying
parts in the BL catalog?

Either way when you search for an official Lego part number BL already recognises
it so is there any reason the official Lego part code is not displayed alongside
the part in question? Perhaps there’s already an option in the settings to display
them that I don’t know about?

Also is there any reason BL have continued using their own reference codes instead
of switching to Legos? If it’s just a case of not wanting to upset members that
have inventoried their physical stock and become accustomed to these BL codes
wouldn’t it be better to have both codes to hand so that buyers and sellers alike
have the option of choosing whichever codes they prefer to work with?

Why does BrickLink show me a picture of a white 48 x 48 baseplate when I click
on the catalog entry for set 11010?

Set No: 11010 Name: White Baseplate
*
11010-1 (Inv) White Baseplate
1 Part, 2020
Sets: Classic

Ok, maybe the picture is there because it is an official product image from TLG.
So they are also using the wrong image in their own online shop.

According to TLG's description of the set, it contains only a 32 x 32 baseplate...

Hi,

Whilst checking this minifig prior to packing it for an order. I noticed a discrepancy
with the description.

The minifig description is listed as having black sunglasses.

Minifig No: cty0006 Name: Police - City Leather Jacket with Gold Badge, White Helmet, Trans-Brown Visor, Dark Blue Sunglasses
*
cty0006 (Inv) Police - City Leather Jacket with Gold Badge, White Helmet, Trans-Brown Visor, Dark Blue Sunglasses
Minifigures: Town: City: Police

but the head description in its inventory states it as having Dark Blue sunglasses.

Part No: 3626bpx299 Name: Minifigure, Head Glasses with Dark Blue Sunglasses, Closed Mouth, Light Brown Sideburns and Goatee Pattern - Blocked Open Stud
*
3626bpx299 Minifigure, Head Glasses with Dark Blue Sunglasses, Closed Mouth, Light Brown Sideburns and Goatee Pattern - Blocked Open Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Head

How does this get sorted?

Joe

Hello,

As I am going through my LEGO parts I am finding a couple of items that have
the banner that says it will be deleted. It is the only listing of that part
that I can find. Am I not able to list these parts that I have?

Thanks for your help!

Is it worth doing any catalogue work at the moment until they have finalised
the new program?

I have meaning to to inventory a couple of minifigures for a while now and i
have time this week.

Thanks

Is this thing a rangefinder or a helmet antenna?

Some consider it a rangefinder:

Part No: 61190d Name: Minifigure, Helmet Antenna / Rangefinder for Helmet SW Clone Trooper with Holes
*
61190d Minifigure, Helmet Antenna / Rangefinder for Helmet SW Clone Trooper with Holes
Parts: Minifigure, Headgear Accessory

Minifig No: sw1078 Name: Mandalorian Tribe Warrior - Female, Dark Brown Cape, Green Helmet with Antenna / Rangefinder
*

Minifig No: sw1077 Name: Mandalorian Tribe Warrior - Female, Black Cape, Light Bluish Gray Helmet with Antenna / Rangefinder
*
sw1077 (Inv) Mandalorian Tribe Warrior - Female, Black Cape, Light Bluish Gray Helmet with Antenna / Rangefinder
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars The Mandalorian

Some consider it a helmet antenna:

Minifig No: sw0200a Name: Clone Trooper (Phase 1) - Black Rangefinder, Large Eyes
*
sw0200a (Inv) Clone Trooper (Phase 1) - Black Rangefinder, Large Eyes
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars The Clone Wars

Minifig No: sw0314 Name: Clone Trooper Captain Rex, 501st Legion (Phase 1) - Dark Bluish Gray Rangefinder, Pauldron, and Kama, Large Eyes
*

Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars The Clone Wars

Minifig No: sw0200 Name: Clone Trooper (Phase 1) - Dark Bluish Gray Rangefinder, Large Eyes
*
sw0200 (Inv) Clone Trooper (Phase 1) - Dark Bluish Gray Rangefinder, Large Eyes
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars The Clone Wars

I have no interest in Star Wars whatsoever, but I do have an interest in consistent
titling of catalog entries. So which is it?

Why isn't the Porg (I believe there are four varieties in the catalog) considered
a Minifig?

I'm sorting through the 2019 Star Wars Advent Calendar and other brink built
items (i.e. sw1040 and sw0983) are considered Minifigs.

Just wondering if anyone had an explanation.

I kept going round and around not being able to identify a part earlier today
when I realized it isn't showing up on the catalog page at all. All the
variations are there, but not the original.

Good evening everyone!

Is it possible that the central 41747 is Sand Green? Below is Olive Green, on
the left is Lime and on the right is Green.
On bricklink it has an absurd value ....

Making this a catalog request instead of a site suggestion so that I know it
will be read. All of the parts linked to below have inventories containing at
least one variable color part.

For these parts the color shown on the Part Inventory tab (which I'm defining
as the new inventory page) is (Variable Color):

Part No: 2878c01 Name: Train Wheel RC, Holder with Black Train Wheel Pair on Chrome Silver Metal Axle with Slots (2878 / 2879c01)
*
2878c01 (Inv) Train Wheel RC, Holder with Black Train Wheel Pair on Chrome Silver Metal Axle with Slots (2878 / 2879c01)
Parts: Wheel

Part No: 3137c01 Name: Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Red Wheels for Single Tire
*
3137c01 (Inv) Brick, Modified 2 x 2 with Red Wheels for Single Tire
Parts: Wheel

Took me a little bit, but I figured out that's only because they appear in
multiple colors.

However, for other parts also inventoried with variable colors the new page shows
an actual color name because they only appear in one color:

Part No: 4180c01  Name: Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Black Wheels, Train Spoked Small (23mm D.) and Black Pins (4180 / wheel3 / 2344)
*
4180c01 (Inv) Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Black Wheels, Train Spoked Small (23mm D.) and Black Pins (4180 / wheel3 / 2344)
Parts: Wheel

Part No: 38339c01 Name: Train Wheel RC, Holder with Pin Slots with 2 Black Train Wheel RC Train with Pins (38339 / 38340)
*
38339c01 (Inv) Train Wheel RC, Holder with Pin Slots with 2 Black Train Wheel RC Train with Pins (38339 / 38340)
Parts: Wheel

Part No: 4180c04  Name: Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Red Wheels, Train Spoked Small (23mm D.) and Red Pins (4180 / wheel3 / 2344)
*
4180c04 (Inv) Brick, Modified 2 x 4 with Red Wheels, Train Spoked Small (23mm D.) and Red Pins (4180 / wheel3 / 2344)
Parts: Wheel

I'm guessing this was done on the new inventory page to make things less
confusing, but it is inaccurate. If a part is inventoried with one or more components
having variable colors, then the new page shouldn't make things more confusing
by falsely representing the inventory to contain a defined color.

Only by clicking through to the old inventory page (Item Consists Of) can you
determine if the inventory is correct, and even then you can only surmise the
existence of a variable color when there is no image and no part color listed
(the words "Variable Color" don't appear on that page).

The new inventory tab is convenient to use, but it's disappointing that it
doesn't accurately reflect variable colors in inventories.

Can this issue be corrected?

When will this set be added in? Picked two sets up last night at Target, ($9.99
each) but everything I find on it says it shouldn't be out yet. Mostly for
the new Iron Man mini that comes in the set. Thanks.

In the Bricklink catalog set 21038 is mentioned but if I remember well it was
discontinued before it was ever sold.
All due to the shooting from the Mandalay Bay hotel.
In my believe Lego showed the box art before the shooting and well before it
entered shops.
After the shooting it was discontinued without making it going to shops, before
a real release.
If so I think this set shouldn’t be in the catalog, there is most likely no set
to be found ‘in the wild’.
Therefore it might be poluting the catalog.

Was just checking the sets given to the employees at end of each year. Although
some are correctly categorized as "lego employee gift", a few of these gifts
are categorized under "promotional". The set I found categorized as "promotional"
are (did not check all)

Set No: 4002015 Name: 2015 Employee Exclusive: Borkum Riffgrund 1
*
4002015-1 (Inv) 2015 Employee Exclusive: Borkum Riffgrund 1
559 Parts, 2015
Sets: LEGO Brand: LEGO Employee Gift

Set No: 4002016 Name: 2016 Employee Exclusive: 50 Years On Track
*
4002016-1 (Inv) 2016 Employee Exclusive: 50 Years On Track
1141 Parts, 2016
Sets: LEGO Brand: LEGO Employee Gift

There might be others but will leave to the administrators to determine how to
correct the inconsistencies for categorizing these sets.

Thank you

Hello,

Currently in the catalog is book # 9781465487681

The BL catalog item number is the book's ISBN, the only seller is in the
Netherlands so I am assuming this is the European English version. I am in USA
and have ISBN 9781465485779 (last four digits are different).

My book cover also states "6+ 41 pieces" and "with exclusive reindeer mini model",
but the box art is the same. Should I request a new entry, or list under the
current ID number? I am also interested in submitting an inventory for this item.

[book=9781465487681]

Regards, - Chris

I received this part today for my Moster Fighter bride, but I can't find
the word lego anywhere on the part.

All I can see is c with a circle around it in the middle. and an 01-2 at the
back of the ponytail.

How do I know this is not a fake piece???

Hi

Reading various posts recently.

Why is it not possible to have all leg variants in the catalogue.

If you can have torso's, arms, hands as separate items why can it not be
done for hips and legs. (Lego only supply torso's complete with arms and
hands)

They do come apart, its not a problem easing them apart, no different than trying
to take arms out of torso's.

If I have a hips/legs combination with one leg marked or bitten, why can't
I just buy the leg I need?

Am I missing something?

There's 24 stickered parts in this set, but only 3 are in the inventory.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I couldn't post on the Inventory
Change page and wasn't sure what part IDs to use if I submitted the changes
myself! I have the set here with most of them, think I can provide pictures for
everything except for the spoiler tile.

Hello community,

I fail to find this CD in the gear catalogue.
Do I oversee something?

It is similar to 4166538, but colored more black and brown.

Best regards,

This is a test of searching ability and speed.

Based on images associated with the set, in which set in the BrickLink catalog
could the figure shown below possibly have appeared?

The figure is not in the catalog. First person to reply wins. There is no prize.

So there's an item on eBay that is not in the BrickLink catalog: 372862431557

I've attached pictures. The interesting thing is the copyright date on the
packaging (1984) and the item number (198561). That figure didn't first
appear until several years later:

Minifig No: sp015 Name: Futuron - Red
*
sp015 (Inv) Futuron - Red
Minifigures: Space: Futuron

So then I looked around and saw there are a number of items in what looks like
the same packaging with what is almost certainly the same item number. Search
for the item number on BL to find four of them, but there are quite a few more:

Gear No: KC100 Name: Classic Space White Figure Key Chain
*
KC100 Classic Space White Figure Key Chain
Gear: Key Chain: Space: Classic Space

Some of them would not have been released in '84. So all of that to say
that the copyright date on this bag is not trustworthy. It appears to be a generic
bag the company liked and used for a number of years.

@Admin Russell

This has probably been around before, my apologies!

Within international copyright law, i believe it states that copyright is automatically
vested in the creator. Unless rights are assigned (and/or reassigned) by contract.

Images supplied to BrickLink should be the property of the creator, however if
memory serves, BrickLink claimed copyright when BrickOwl emerged back in 2013.
Was copyright truly, legally transferred?

If so does LEGO group now own (or claim to own) said copyright?

OR do the individual creators of images still own Copyright?

Just curious, mostly interested in the images of minifigures being used and the
ability to use on eBay, individual stores own websites etc.

Thanks.

I've been pondering the category trees. When you click on Parts from the
main catalog page you get hit with 230 categories. It's hard to justify
adding further categories, even though needed for some existing categories, because
there are already too many.

I've also been thinking about simple fixes that maintain the BrickLink look
and feel and imagined what it might be like with some submenus (the large image
below with the selections shrunk from 230 to only 85). The little plus signs
might not be the best way to do this - they just indicate for the purposes of
discussion that this category can be expanded or leads to another menu.

I've also imagined a Themed Parts menu and a Minifigure Items menu (those
menus happen when you select those options from the main menu) and added those
images.

Of course, I would always want to be able to see the entire category tree by
default if I chose that option.

Good things: you don't have so much to wade through - allows quicker selection
of exactly what you're looking for. Also, the categories within submenus
could be significantly expanded to make finding items even easier without fear
of adding to the existing mess.

Bad thing: you have to click into more menus to get where you're going.

Thoughts?

Hello,

So the above set is not yet in the BL catalog, but a few stores have it listed
as 'custom' so as able to sell. Does anyone know where/how this was
available? There is one or two on Fleabay and the description says it was bought
in NY at Times Square or thereabouts...

But sellers in Poland and other countries must have obtained them somewhere else...

GWP?? Maybe not yet available here in the US? Thanks,

Are people allowed to use Bricklink pics to sell on eBay? I see a minifigure
doing it.

All keychains mentioned are from my personal collection with paper hangtag intact
and were purchased from S@H or a LEGO Retail Store. There may be additional
examples that I am not able to verify.

Gear: Key Chain: Super Heroes: The LEGO Batman Movie
For all of mine the s number in () corresponds to the copyright year printed
on the hangtag. For example (s17) indicates 2017.

My keychain Tiles with LEGO logo referenced in this post all have the molded
number of 91873. Searching 91873, even when adding the asterisk*, takes one
to the plain 48995, making it difficult to find them to determine how the missing
ones need to be added.
So my questions are
Do the different (s number)s rate their own BL part number, or just a variable
dates note?
If they rate their own BL part number, shouldn't they be listed as 91873
if that is the number molded on the part?

I have a bunch of heads the same as 3626bpb0918, but with hollow stud.

How can i determine the next part number to use ?

I guess the image and the description can be reused from 3626bpb0918, except
of course the stud type.

Kind regards

Hi there,

Is there an intention to better integrate, or at least link, pieces that are
physically the same shape, but are split into different records (eg, monochrome
and marbled variants)? An example I've found is 53562 (and 53562pb01, etc).

Users unfamiliar with the history of the part, or how Bricklink's catalogue
works, might not realise that there are are other variants of this exact same
part, as they aren't even mentioned on the monochrome version (in the case
of 53562 such piece didn't debut until four years after its multi-toned version).

Apologies if this has been brought up before (I'm not a regular poster),
it just seems odd that the catalogue links to similar molds (eg, 32174) but not
variations of the exact same mold. I would be prepared to do some work on this.

That's funny. I just encountered 4 of these:

Part No: 4150  Name: Tile, Round 2 x 2
*
4150 Tile, Round 2 x 2
Parts: Tile, Round

With "X" bottom in Light Bluish Gray in some 2019 sets. I mixed together many
sets so unfortunately, I can't trace which one it's from. But it's
definitely a set from this year. According to the catalog, the part died out
in 2014.

For insight information please look here: http://www.newelementary.com/2019/10/lego-store-build-minifigure-exclusive-bam.html

Questions:
How are these parts 'handled' by the inventory admins?
Since many of these parts do not yet occur in regular sets, what's the BL
policy here?
What should we know when uploading new parts from BaM?

TL;DR
BaM = Build a Minifigure, an option to build a minifig in an official LEGO brand
store. You can choose from a collection of heads, legs, torso's, hair and
minifig utensils. Some of them were never released before in official sets.

I loved the Goatleg search, when it was not attached to BL.

I go to goatleg.com, pick "legs Assembly" and it takes me to BL with a frame
at the top where I can choose the colors to search. There is no box to type
"other descriptions" to help narrow the field (it used to, and it does for torsos).

This is what I get when I searched Black Hips and Black Legs. One item and it
has blue hips.

The old goatleg was soooooo much better!!!! I don't know what happened with
the integration with BL, but it is not the same. It was originally made by 62bircks.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Because there are a TON of legs Black/Black.

I blame BL. To 62bricks, I thank you for helping me with your program. I really
loved the way it worked when it was stand alone.

Hi,

I found an item that is missing from the catalog. I attached the image of it.
It is a dark blue 47753 with a sticker on it. The sticker is from the set: 70730
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=70730stk01&
I checked the instructions for the part and the sticker is applied as needed.

I have a few questions:
- What is the best name to give to the part?
- How to find what is the part number to use? 47753pb???

Thanks,
Tamas

Hello everyone,

Part No: 772 Name: Brick 1 x 2 x 2 without Inside Axle Holder or Stud Holder
*
772 Brick 1 x 2 x 2 without Inside Axle Holder or Stud Holder
Parts: Brick
Marked for Deletion

I came across this brick while checking the inventory of 7623
and I am wondering, does this part variant actually exist? I do not have it in
my collection and I also haven't found a photo showing the bottom (BL doesn't
have one too). Moreover, the quantities for sale are very low. I have asked four
sellers to check this variant. Two of them replied instantly and said their parts
are 3245b/c. One seller didn't answer but moved his parts to 3245b/c and
one seller didn't react at all. Based on that it is very likely that the
other parts for sale are also sorted incorrectly. But I don't know how to
go on with this thing now. How can one be sure that this variant actually does
not exist?

(Yes, there is a printed brick

but I am talking about the plain variant.)

Anyone know why this happens? I notice the also melt the bricks they are sitting
against, so I'm presuming some sort of chemical reaction.

I'm guessing heat? I've run into this 3 times now one the lots also had
heat warped baseplates. I've never seen it on my own/original lego which
has never experienced a hot garage.

Are they trash? Can I clean them?

I just got some

in light grey and was pretty stoked (only came in 3

want it to be a total loss. The weird color on a common part is so neat in person.

Thanks everyone

These warped 2x4 plates have been showing up in some lots I've bought (I've
thrown out about 25 of these during the last couple of months).

They only ever warp in the pip end, and I've seen it only for black, and
never for any other types of plates.

Does anyone know of an explanation?

We have tweaked the Forum / Message macro tags in the following ways:

1) For parts, the color of the image may now be specified by adding a comma and
the BrickLink part number after the Item Number:

Part No: 4085d Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
*
4085d Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
Parts: Plate, Modified {Blue}

Part No: 4085d Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
*
4085d Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
Parts: Plate, Modified {Medium Blue}

Part No: 4085d Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
*
4085d Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
Parts: Plate, Modified {Dark Bluish Gray}

Part No: 4085d Name: Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
*
4085d Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Open O Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)
Parts: Plate, Modified {Light Bluish Gray}

2) For sets, instructions and original boxes, the suffix is only needed when
it is not "-1":

Set No: 493 Name: Space Command Center (Flatplate version)
*
493-1 (Inv) Space Command Center (Flatplate version)
161 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 1979
Sets: Space: Classic Space

Set No: 493 Name: Space Command Center (Craterplate version)
*
493-3 (Inv) Space Command Center (Craterplate version)
145 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 1979
Sets: Space: Classic Space

The catalog pages for both the brick and the door list other parts that they

what I see here, they do not. Perhaps the relationship just hasn't been
added yet? Can anyone tell me for sure if that door will fit into the clips
of that brick?

Thanks,
