I am sorry, but the only way you can really know if you have Dark Nougat is if
you collect several pieces that are unmistakably Earth Orange and then make a
comparison. It's better that you leave the listings as Earth Orange than
to list something incorrectly as Dark Nougat, because collectors will buy up
that color just to have it. And they will be disappointed if it's not really
Dark Nougat.

This is getting more bizar by the day....

We are now adviced to incorrectly list items so buyers will not be disappointed?

That must be against some basic rule here, isn't it?

When changes like flesh2nougat are made, what are the effects on the usage of
BrickStock for uploading, parting etc?

Any thoughts?

Does anyone have a certain ID on the color of his head?

ah, if Lego had these Fabuland sets in the BricksAndPieces part of their site,
we could check for the color

There is only 1 rational reason: Lego calls these colors Nougat.

So the transition to a tighter connection (assimilation?) to the Lego-Corp has
started I guess?

Good thinking, but it feels like 'Kim' all over again.

I think it wiser to organise a round-table conference like was done before (US
and Europe round tables that was?
Where a delegation of the community collectively with Lego-corp would try to
outline a future for the site including all that has been posted/shared/invented/promised
in the last few years but never saw the light emerging at the end of that tunnel.
And based on that make a schedule with priorities and deadlines and thén get
people on it, managed by... Lego! They own this site and I am sure they will
make have a mucg better approach than 'Kim' had.

(Still not sure he saw this as just another investment vehicle instead of a truly
Lego addicted AFOL community with real treasures....)

Probably a lot of us have been guilty of this, adding an item to your inventory
and forgetting the decimal point, or putting it in the wrong place, thereby creating
an abnormal price.

Is it possible when entering a price for new or used, to flag if the price entered
is say more than xx% of the average prices already on file. Still giving you
the option to enter that price, but just warning that this price is abnormal

Thanks
Tracy

Discussed and proposed many times before, but still no sign of implementing something
like this.... Focus was on other points I guess. Something with Stud.IO and a
designer competetion sort of thing....

Sales are nice thing, right? Scoring a bulk load of 1x1 plates you so desperately
need for a long overdue project helps you move on!
When 70% of the sales announcements concern shops that do NOT ship to you, the
nice efforts turn into an ever growing deception....

So here's my suggestion: have a SALE announcement link to the shipping terms
of the store so there will be ONLY announcement visible that actually DO ship
to your country.

Ever working on a more pleasant environment.

I know of an ex-car dealer who was bored with his job and quit but continued
to buy and sell used cars as an individual for a couple of years (then he was
re-hired as a “seller extraordinary” because he was that good). He knew the
rules pretty well and limited himself to less than (I think it’s) ten cars a
year. Buy a used car, keep it a few weeks, sell the car. He managed to make
a hefty profit. All legal, and not as a pro.

Is that a business? Or someone who loves to have another car every few weeks
and makes money along the way?
Has he become a business by doing so?

The main issue here is how to differentiate between the seller, selling of his
or hers overstock with the intention to get rid of it and the seller purchasing
and reselling parts/sets etc with the intention to generate profit with it

Might even be real China-made parts. The plastic from that factory does have
similar differences from the other factories worldwide.
So, is it real, really counterfeit or just a misenterpretation of the fact Lego

In your own store inventory, you can search for parts of a specific set. See
attached picture.
In the buying area of a store, this is not possible.
The functionality is there, please add it to the buying area.

Spot on.

On uploading used parts, I always check for my self: "Would I be happy to receive
this?" Whenever the anser is NO, the part goes into the bin, unless it's
a rare piece. In that case, I try to describe as detailed as possible the condition
of the part.

Maintaining high standards for oneself prevents in most cases selling crappy
parts.

Might this be an option:

- calculate 10% fee
- receive payment
- refund any overcalculated fee after payment was received

Or will this alse affect the percentage and therefor costs made?

Man, thinking about this might even get me PP-fee-less in the near future. But
at higher item prices? Is that what most PP-fee-less sellers do? Help me out

Personal rates are only for 'personal transfers', transfer for goods
are 'commercial', regardless wether you have a personal, premier or business
account

Mmmm, that makes it even harder.
Just checked my last 8 payments on PP (USD and EUR, 5 different countries). Overall
fee is 5.6%. Ranging from a 3.6% to 8.1%.
How can you get a cost table implemented like that that can be explained and
maintained as well?

Ah, these are the commercial rates.
I was looking at the personal rates.
As I am a hobbiest seller and not registered as a commercial user of PP, I think
the personal rates apply. Correct? Or does PP not distinguish between them?

These rules you refer to, apply to commercial business only as far as I can follow
it through. So this might only be applied to those.

As all sellers and buyers alike we are expected to operate within the law.
So either we should implement ALL laws from ALL countries BL has members from,
or there's a general rule that we all stick to the local laws from the country
the seller is based in. No need to add some specific rules and leave others out.
It's either ALL or NOTHING....

This feature would be completely pointless when designers could be
working on more important things!

Like cosmetic overhauling the front page ?

I do delete the non-relevant parts (see this reply for instance) in my replies.
Most users don't, that can be annoying to quickly read through a thread with
20+ replies.
I guess your activity on the forum is not that big, so your not annoyed by it

How do you change the setting to "off" anyways?

You can't as a user. It is coded in the system....

And lastly... use a screen of proper size and resolution, so you dont need to
abuse your mouse/PGDWN keys

Try to find a monitor that big......!

In replying to forum posts, the standard system setting is to quote the post
you are replying to. This generates LARGE texts that one has to scroll through
to get the additional post made by the poster.

Please set this standard to OFF:

- makes the forumposts cleaner
- readingspeed increases
- mouses/PGDWN-keys will last longer due to less scrolling
- less data storage needed on servers

(has been requested two times before, no follow-up unfortunately)

(probably multiple times suggested before....)

Overhaul of the NSS/NRS system required.

Regarding recent posts of blocked shops due to a cummulation of three (!) NSS's
over the last few years (!!), this system needs an overhaul.

1) NSS / NSR are in effect NO longer than a fixed time; for instance 6 months
2) users can ALWAYS review their scores on ALL the codes (NSS/NRS/NPB/OCR/etc....)
availabe for classifying orders (the data must be in the database.

Short post, needs more work, I know. Please add when wanted....... or when you
miss stuff.

If there IS a way to check your scores, please post it here AND (@ADMIN/@TECHSTAFF),
add it to the MyBrickLink page PLEASE.

Cheers
