Hello, is this sticker in the catalog somewhere? I cannot seem to find it. It

For those that don't know, Bret (starbeanie) is what I consider our resident
expert on Lego stickers. He long ago started specializing at it (don't know
if you still do, Bret) But I couldn't find this item either and thought about
asking you. Glad you showed-up here to answer both the OP's my curiosities.

I'm guessing heat? I've run into this 3 times now one the lots also had
heat warped baseplates. I've never seen it on my own/original lego which
has never experienced a hot garage.

Are they trash? Can I clean them?

I believe Lego uses Styrene-Butadiene Styrene (SBS rubber) for their tires. Pretty
much the same material used on your sneakers like vans or converse. The edging
around the bottom of the shoe, if you’ve ever had to clean them. Also used on
many of today’s automotive parts such as rubber molding, trim, etc.

Knowing this, you should be able to determine what products you could use to
clean and/or treat the tires, to stay stoked

Remembering the proclamations you made of placing me on your ignore list, if
you've actually done so, I guess this advise is for naught and I'm spinning
my wheels here

Maybe another can pass it on.

I just got some

2346 Tire 30 x 10.5 Offset Tread

in light grey and was pretty stoked (only came in 3
sets) and they are awful gooey messes, I have more on the way and I don't
want it to be a total loss. The weird color on a common part is so neat in person.

Thanks everyone

Has there ever been a spot for custom minis? Any way we could add
a spot? Mainly MOC out of existing parts that are out there. Not hand made or

I’d support it. I’s been put forth and discussed from time to time, but never
implemented.

As long as all the parts are genuine Lego, I vote yea.

But then again, I have skin in the game: https://store.bricklink.com/popsicle&itemID=132920648

Sorry for the late response, Mark.

I do truly enjoy your comic creations, they're superb satire. You sir, have
a gift, no doubt!

For the life of me, though, I don't understand this comic strip?

I see clearly Russell with his hair-on-fire, but don't get the storyline
or understand whom the others are? To be completely honest, I feel kinda stupid,
if it's a given for others!

  Hello everyone,

I'm very pleased to announce that we have appointed longtime member BricksThatStick
to the Catalog Associate position. Paul served as the site's 4th Inventories
Admin during 2010 to 2011 alongside Emma (SimplyBricks). He effectively replaced
Dan Jezek, the site's founder, who had a special fondness for inventories
work and who of course left very big shoes to fill.

If you take the time to scroll through Paul's 900+ inventories changes:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChangeItem.asp?chgUserID=44744&v=3

...you will notice a sea of green, followed by a sea of blue, followed by another
sea of green. This means he continued to contribute to the catalog after having
once been an admin, which is (unfortunately) something rather uncommon. But it
demonstrates a great and correct attitude, the kind of attitude we wish to model
for all of our other contributors out there, especially the ones still cutting
their teeth.

Paul has, over the years, been very active as a seller and many of you will know
him also from his activity in the Forum. We look forward to his practical insights
and we are confident he will play a vital role in our growing catalog team.

Please welcome him back!

Welcome back, Paul.

And thank you. If you need any consideration from our store please let me know.
It would make me happy to be able to pay-it-back, what you and the others contribute.

Sorry, but I must say that I take offense at this statement. You are passing
judgement on the previous admins and their reasons for leaving the site. You
are implying that the 'correct' attitude would be to maintain one's
dedication to a site even after you may have had a bad experience.
You don't know how they were treated by the management and members of this
site.

I think you make a valid point, I felt so when I first read Russell’s statement
yesterday. But if you’ll allow me just a moment of open mindedness to express
how I reasoned through that portion or Russell’s post…

Simply put, the 'attitude' Russell speaks of, and what you've taken
umbrage with, is for lack of a better term, site first. That is the idea
of BL, not any given people of it - at any given time. Yes, it’s a for-profit
venture, but it’s inception and all important developmental years, were steeped
in the idea of a site that is community for AFOL, according to what is now doctrine
but simply was what Daniel expressed.

I think Russell (understanding he’s partially responsible for the current direction
of BL) to use a metaphor, is attempting to correct course of the ship we all
have boarded

You were as dedicated a BL Inventories Admin as any, I thought. We never met,
but I think I remember you from the Seattle Round Table, sitting across from
my son and I. You’ve given a lot of yourself to the site and should be shown
appreciation, along with the several others that have given selflessly to better
our catalog, including the many non-admin contributors. Catalog is what makes
this site, IMHO.

All that being said, I understand Russell’s statement.

As to your statement "how they were treated by the management and members
of this site" you're no longer an admin, express yourself! I don't believe
unpaid positions are subject to the same enforceability of non-discloser agreements,
if any If you want people to understand the concern that you've taken
the time to post, you'll need to add more context.

Forum participants are less than a percent of the overall site membership, but
the percentage of those that read the forum is far greater.

Take your time, but tell your story, Jen. That is, if you haven't already
somewhere here in the forum.

I suggest a new forum subtopic, under Off Topic: Pets

Anecdotes and/or pics of your pets? Maybe of interrupting your lego work or other
mischief. Or just an introduction of your nonhuman companion, new or old. What

Even though we don't have furry companions (son's allergies) we really
enjoy animal pics and stories. Think most do, evidenced by it's popularity

Well done, Darcy!

I guess, especially, buyers with a lot of different wanted lists would be interested
in to opt-in, if they are trying to save some time gathering their parts from
too many stores out there...

+1

In Suggestions, popsicle writes:
Wayne's post and others like it, https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1150409
brings to mind an idea that briefly visited my headspace some time ago:

A type of reverse want list. That is, a way that sellers could peruse the current
want lists to specific buyer's needs, to then as a seller, proactively engage
members like Wayne with offers on items they have on their want list.

Kinda like amping-up the want list and selling process, by getting the sellers
more involved in increasing their sales by actually selling

It's just a rough draft of an idea. Limitations, restriction and other refinements
of the idea, expected.

But hey, BL shot-callers, it speaks directly to upping the sales numbers!

I need some help identifying the color of the Bionicle mask on the right. It
is part #32573. It came in a large lot of used Bionicle parts, so I don't
know what set it came from originally. Supposedly, it only comes in Black, Blue,
Dark Gray, Light Gray, Lime, Medium Blue, Orange, Tan, Yellow, Copper, and Pearl
Light Gray.

As you can see, this is not any of those colors. I have photographed it with
a copper part next to it, so you can see that it is not copper. The closest
I can figure is that this is chrome pink, but there is nothing chrome about it.
It is more like a pearl dark pink color.

What color do you think it is?

I appreciate your help.

Stan.

The set in which this part appears (bilmasks-1) was released in 2001, while the
Exo-Force robots were first released in 2006. Colours (particularly Pearl-type)
tend to change somewhat over time, and the description for set (bilmasks-1) specifies
that the colour is dark Copper:

Set No: bilmasks Name: Special Masks! - 2 Bionicle Copper Kanohi (Legoland Billund)
*
bilmasks-1 (Inv) Special Masks! - 2 Bionicle Copper Kanohi (Legoland Billund)
2 Parts, 2001
Sets: LEGO Brand: LEGOLAND Parks

I think I've expressed this before, but it's worth repeating: Impressive
catalog command!

Although I’m usually clueless to the subtleties here in the forum, I don’t get
the “Inviting trouble” title. I can’t see how. I assume it’s referencing your
second comment of not having an issue if someone “takes the initiative”, as in
inviting competition for you and goatleg.com?

Regardless, it’s good to hear from you again, Mark.

What a beautiful story, Cory. Sounds like you gave that badger biter the time
of his life.

Before moving, I'd visit a humane society that served as a hub for all shelters
in the valley. I loved the high-energy kennel with the biggest dogs you're
allowed to walk, but also walk the smaller dogs for a quick bowel movement in
parking lot bushes, a block or two. This fat roly-poly kinda thing caught my
eye one day, and we'd walk a little longer every time I stopped by. I guess
he was too fat, because one of the vet-techs told me he'd been put down not
transferred. What a crap day. Sometimes think about whether I would've been
allowed to start a 10 day-hold and other what-ifs. At the end of the day it's
easier just to shrug and say "damn you, world!"

To lighten the mood, here's a few satellite photos of a wild tribe of wolves
-source unknown

I'm tired. Going to bed, see what dreams await me.

Thanks, Caleb. You're a good man.

At the time we were asked to take care of him, we were living in Southern Utah
in and around Zion National Park. Our lives during those years were, to say the
least, adventurous. We were trekking, hiking and climbing just about every area
we could reach. Our friends knew this, when they asked us to care of Oscar. I
told them I would think on it. I worried a dog would just not fit our adventurous
life style at the time. Certainly, such a small dog could not hang with us on
our back country treks, I thought.

But, we really wanted to help Jim and Gloria out, and didn’t want to see Oscar
spend a year in doggy prison (hotel) so we agreed to take the responsibility.

Well, it turned out that Oscar with his stubby legs, was one hell of a adventurer!
He hung with us EVERYWHERE. When it came to climbing, his shape fit perfectly
into my climbing-pack with just his head sticking out, and he didn’t seem to
mind just enjoying the view while I struggled

He was overweight when they left him with us, and by the time they returned they
had half the dachshund they had left us with. Oscar really got into shape that
year! He simply loved the outdoors life!

Now here’s the sad part. When Jim and Gloria returned, we left to spend a year
in Stockholm. They told us that Oscar would go everyday to the front door of
our cottage and sit, waiting for us to open the door for him. I guess it’s true,
dogs don’t have the same concept of time, because we were told he did this throughout
the entire year my kids and I were gone.

It remains one of the saddest thoughts in my long life thinking about this. Even
as I type it, tears flow. Silly!

This is not a pic we took. It is the last pic of our friend, Jim and Gloria took
that they sent to us a couple of years later, just before he passed away...

Pets make the world a better place and D is doing everything she can to save
every pet out there. People who save animals in this way are born special.

Just had to give her a shout out.

What great kid your friend Jodi has!

You should get her okay to give her first name, for a proper shoutout.

Thanks for sharing Ginny. I've placed your store on our most favorites list,
I'd like to show support with some business. I assume little Ms. D helps
out with the store, as my kids did at that age.

I would really like to see more pics of our member’s pet. What do you think about
showing or introduce your animal companion to the BL membership here on the forum?

I suggest a new forum subtopic, under Off Topic: Pets

Anecdotes and/or pics of your pets? Maybe of interrupting your lego work or other
mischief. Or just an introduction of your nonhuman companion, new or old. What
your pet did today

Even though we don't have furry companions (son's allergies) we really
enjoy animal pics and stories. Think most do, evidenced by it's popularity
on youtube.

What do think? Think there is enough interest to warrant a sub-topic in the forum?

Captain Q approves.

Here are two kittens I am keeping of a 4 kitten litter I saved from living a
life as feral cats; named Tenshi and Quark. I found them while feeding some
feral cats. They were too young to capture right away, around 5 weeks, so I
pre-socialized them on the outside with wet food and playing with a cat favorite
toy, the fake bird on a string and stick. Had to do it at night as apartment
management disapproves of feeding the feral cats. Took some night vision video,
that I have not gotten around to editing yet.

Just noticed that the picture is rotated the wrong way, will leave it as is,
because it amuses me.

Regards,
Captain Q

Looks like they've got a good life, now.

How you brought them into your life. I gotta say you're a very patient man,
Quinton

Very cool names, too!
