Not sure but they don't look like Lego.

In Colors, Stonemonkey1974 writes:
Hello all, can someone give me a colour for these apples. For comparison the
base is Bright Green and 2x4 brick Green. I can see them listed in pop colours
in medium green, but they don't seem to be in any sets. These came from a
2nd hand 4181 Poc set.

If I have both together, the dark grey has a brownish hue compared with the dark
blue grey.

This isn't easy to see in artificial light, impossible for me, i won't
check mine unless I have daylight.

Every day's a bad day at work but I'm working on that.

Some others may find the same thing and we can then confirm it as another brittle
colour, not an easy thing to do but this is how the brittle blue came about.

Good to know, It was just the brown on that one set (from a bulk lot) no other
parts affected.

Thanks

Not sure why this happens so i suspect that other colours may occur if it's
a plastic problem.

time. It's inevitable... I don't understand why we always talk about
brittle blue but not brittle yellow? If the part is not the right shade i'd
just throw it in the trash.

The term brittle blue is not just a discoloration. It is a bad quality plastic
that breaks easily. Other color bricks may discolor, but they don't just
break apart like the brittle blue pieces.

Is there a "brittle brown"? I was building a set from the early 2000's and
I had multiple pieces explode in my hand while building. I'd never seen anything
like it. Set looked in good condition otherwise.

It does look like Brittle blue and from the description of how easily it broke,
i believe it is.

As has been said, it is known as brittle blue as even the most gentle squeeze
can make it literally explode in your hands leaving very sharp edges that can
cut.

Sun faded or discoloured blue looks a deep greenish blue but still behaves
normally, not easily broken just like other faded colours.

There is a small market amongst collectors as a curiosity, especially any 2 x
4's, i have the 3001 and some others but not the duplo bricks.

In Suggestions, calsbricks writes:
Firstly let me say that we know suggestions are not being implemented and according
to MP no work is being done on the classic site however this is a small request
which doesn't require huge amounts of development time and would make life
a bit easier.

Currently the method of manually adding inventory is long winded, provides no
audit trail of what has been done and at best is clumsy.

We use Brickstock for most of our updates to our store. It is much easier, quicker
and provides us with a complete audit trail - the only real snag is what happens
when the file gets to Bricklink, The verify screen drops off the Bricklink part
number for some reason so we are left with an audit trail which, when variants
are involved, isn't really all that helpful, although to be fair we have
used this for some time.

Simply placing the bricklink product code on the verify screen would be very
helpful and this is not a major programming issue. At the same time give us a
print button to print that screen Using the print command from the browser doesn't
work well with the page setup falling short of what is needed.

This is a simple matter and could be resolved in minimal time - please implement.

Can I ask what proof is required to submit the rectangular version of the 3062oldtile

I have both the one shown below and the rectangular version without stud that
I suppose would be something like 3005oldtile.

Not ready to list just yet but might want to do so sometime this year.

Appears to be a colour quality problem at some time, they regularly turn up,
have some myself.

I'll eventually list mine but I haven't got to them yet, I'll probably
add them with a note under Light grey or LBG depending on a close comparison
at that time.

Only just started to list my light grey items so I've still to decide what
to do with variations other than those I consider yellowed which will have that
note attached.

I have several thousand parts in light grey to sort and list so I will have to
think about this carefully.

Takes an absolute age, good light and examples of lbg parts to sort them, going
to be a mammoth task.

In Colors, legoman_74 writes:
So what do you do with them? Do you list them separately and describe them accordingly
with color variation? They are definitely more "yellow" than the typical old
light gray but they are not the sun burnt yellow and as mentioned, they are uniform
all over, including underneath. These are good clean pieces with little to no
wear and I hate the idea of discarding them thinking they are "bad".

Now I wonder how much of my old personal collection may have this with the old
light grays? That will take time to go through.

Not aware of any problems or lack thereof but have noticed similar shades myself.

In Colors, legoman_74 writes:
  Hello,
So I am well aware of the "sun burnt" effect on white, blues, yellows, the old
light grays and among other colors, however I am sorting through quite a bit
of used Lego with the old light grays and I pulled quite a bit of them out believing
they were discolored by the sun. Upon closer inspection, they appear to be quite
uniform in their color, including underneath, just definitely a different shade
than the others and not quite like the "sun burnt" ones. Does anyone else out
there recall issues with Lego having off color batches on old light grays in
the past like they have trouble with now on the new light bluish grays and yellows?
Thanks in advance for everyone's time.
Sincerely,
Ken

I missed that bit about the catalogue, hopefully there is some reference number
on it of some sort.

If we find more info in the future the number could be altered or confirmed.

If there is no meaningful reference number then the only way I can see is to
list it as custom, which it isn't but I can't think of anything else.

Sadly the custom option is not a great one as people won't see it there unless
they check as thoroughly as I do from time to time.

Last question about it, i hope.

I want to add this set to the catalog, but how should i number/name it? There
is no set number to be found.

Never seen this before but found another similar item on the net, apparently
an exclusive to France.

I acquired in the meantime the 'mystery' set i posted about in this subforum,
and it had on the poster several stickers with this typenumber. I googled it,
but nothing came up.

It is about this set.

Neither the red or white are listed as known colours for 31b, I assume it's
because no set has been identified with these included.
Both are already for sale.

I was identifying an assortment of Red windows and noticed an omission. If I
look at the screen depicting all windows available in Red, 31b is not there.
I had to open the screen for 31bc01 to see there was an item with the number
31b. Why is it not there if you have 31, 31a, 31ac01, & 31bc01?
