The pieces were submitted by Hygrotus and I and we both watch all the incoming
things in the catalog and neither of us noticed it. And then they sat there
for a couple of months and then two people noticed a couple hours apart.

Here's a thread on Eurobricks about this train. There's mention of some
sets being packed with the wrong color bars, so maybe that was this piece.

Because it's not white. It's more like Very Light Bluish Gray. Please
see attached picture of part with white, VLBG (shield), LBG and LG.

It is white printed on dark plastic, so some of the plastic color is transmitted
through the paint, making it look less than white. However, the paint is definitely
white.

Questions for Nordic version of G31314

I'm about to create the Danish/Norwegian version of [G=G31314] in the BL
catalogue.

But I have one question: In G31314, the 14 curved and 6 straight road sections
are claimed to be identical, but the Nordic versions look different. They contain
studs on the road, and all road sections have subtle differences (see example
of two curved sections in attached image). They may be hard to differentiate
by users, so should I just create one part and maybe have a note on it that inform
of the differences, or should every different part be created?

I used to think this until I found Tom Alphin's lego ruler and sorting tool:

One stud is 8mm wide but a plate is 3.2mm high, therefore the size of a 1x1 brick
is 8mm x 8mm x 9.8mm. I have Tom's guide printed and laminated and reckon
that it has saved me a load of time while sorting!

It's been broken for a while; there's another thread from a few days
ago about the issue, and I reported it to the helpdesk weeks ago.

The 'Add to wanted list' links are broken in a lot of places too.

been semi-officially confirmed that LEGO has created exclusive elements for the
BaM (Build a Minifgure) bins in LBR stores. I'm sure this will give more
people headaches for authenticating parts, since they will not appear in any
inventories. Looks interesting though, and I hope they keep introducing new

form and the buyer adds the glove to it.

Is it possible that in German or USA LEGO Brand stores it is sell with glove?

I assume the boxes they come in are the same. All the ones I have seen in the
UK have been without glove. Of course, staff or other customers could add the
gloves then leave the assembly.

We don't have LEGO Brand Store in Poland so no Pick a Brick or Buil a
Minifigure and I have no idea how it looks like.

I got 5 new ones from the boxes in the storage at US Lego store. They are supposed
to have the glove, but most people rip it off and put them on another figure.

Also it would not surprise me if some torsos are sold without glove, and so it
would be good to have the gloveless entry, as otherwise some sellers might have
to sell them as missing a glove when in reality it isn't.

Can we add years to these. Clearly we know what year these appeared first. Also
it would be nice to note somewhere (item description or sub-category) that these
are exclusive to the Build-A-Minifigure (BaM) station in LBR stores. It will
help to have this information in the future, and the years will make it useful
to place these into some chronological context.

Are we sure that there aren't examples that such item later were used in
normal sets. I do not reckon now such cases when firstly such parts were in BaM
station and later appeared in normal sets but maybe there are such. Then adding
year could be problematic as when parts appear in a set then system add year
automatically and I do not know what bug in the system then occurs

The problem is also with normal parts which are in sets but are in colors which

This thread is a useful reminder that exemplifies that measurement values without
units creates confusion. I work as a scientist in my day life, and talking about
measurements without units causes same problems.

To the OP, the slope 3684 is 3 bricks tall, which is the same as 9 plates tall
(a brick is 3 plates tall), or 18 Lego units tall (a plate is 2 Lego units).
A good relation measurement is 2x2 brick width is same as 5 plates height, which
means that a 1x1 brick width is 2.5 plates height, therefore the 3684 slope which
is 3 bricks tall = 9 plates height = 4.8 stud widths (12/2.5=3.6). So as you
can see, it makes no sense in referring to this slope as 3.6 stud heights. It's
very confusing. That being said, having units in the dimensions handy, will prevent
further confusions.

Knowing dimensions is very practical when SNOT building, where the orientation
of bricks is placed sideways and combination of upright and sideway bricks.

Huh, that's odd... I thought it might be my laptop at first but I tried three
other devices and they all have the same problem. The clicker doesn't change

Has anyone actually seen this part in a BAM box with the mitt attached? I have
seen multiple of them in three different stores now, and they do not have the
mitt. They have a single hand and a missing hand. You can add either a mitt or
a hand, staff don't care.

So should this be listed with a mitt, given that this is not how it is supplied?
Or at least have a note about this, as not all the torsos will have mitts.

and un-builthe it 100 times.

Probably the consistency and quality control weren't as high back then. I
expect you just had a copy of the set with a packing error.

No, my instructions say 928. But 497 doesn't seem to change anything with

Hello,

In my sealed version of set

156-1 (Inv) 2 Signals with Automatic Stop / Go Attachment
6 Parts, 1968
Sets: Train: Supplemental: 4.5V

the connectors are 'Cross-cut'

996bc01 Electric, Connector, 1-Way Male Rounded with Cross-Cut Pin (Banana Plug)
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector

and not 'Hollow Pin'

996ac01 Electric, Connector, 1-Way Male Rounded with Hollow Pin (Banana Plug)
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector

The current wire in inventory is this one:

996ac15blue (Inv) Electric, Wire 12V / 4.5V with 2 Leads, 14 Studs Long with 4 Blue Electric, Connector, 1-Way Male Rounded with Hollow Pin (x466c14 / 996ac01)
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector

I know wire are on hold for now (project #15)

A) shall I create a new cross-cut connectors wire for 15 studs and modify inventory
(as alternate)?

B) I create inventory request with:

996bc01 Electric, Connector, 1-Way Male Rounded with Cross-Cut Pin (Banana Plug)
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector

and

x466 Electric, Wire 12V / 4.5V with two Leads, unspecified length
Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector

I prefer option (A).
As every wire length for same type of connectors are going to grow or reduce
the same size depending of project #15.
For example: if wire 996ac15blue need to be adjusted +1 studs, new wire on option
(A) will also grow +1 studs

I presume you reported the listing? If so then it will get removed

What might work faster than reporting it is contacting the seller. Tell them
that you think they made an error in the listing and they should probably fix
it.

For those dishonest sellers who do this on purpose, they're not really helping
themselves. Nobody who wants a new set is actually going to buy one that isn't,
and someone who doesn't mind a used, incomplete set for a better deal is
probably going to hide all new listings. They're basically harming their
own business and are giving themselves a bad name. I'm not going to order
from someone who purposely is dishonest on listings, what else might they be
lying about?

It will be difficult to know which part goes on which set.

I'd bet $2.30 that one is from the 1988 set and the other is from the 1969-1972
sets.

marked for deletion and set to undetermined.

sets together for resale, but sometimes I'm shocked that its not worth it
for the tiny sets.

I also just finished a Ninjago set recently where the figure was rare-ish and
more than I wanted to pay and I found a seller who had parted a bunch of that
fig out and was able to buy him in pieces for far less than buying the assembled
fig. Its normally the reverse.

There are quite a few "new" sets that have been "built once" on here. It seems
admins are busy doing other things instead of removing these when they are reported.

FWIW I had a 4 cent part get removed/flagged very recently because I had somehow
hit new on it when listing it (it was bizzare because the rest of the part out
was marked used with comments stating "good for used" or something to that affect).

So there is either a person or an algorithim out there doing something.
