How long does it typically take to approve an inventory? 42099 has been in "pending
status" for several days now.

- Trevor

The inventory has not been completed by the submitter of it. When it is complete,
the inventory will most likely be approved in one to two days by either myself
or Paul.

I'm about to create the Danish/Norwegian version of [G=G31314] in the BL
catalogue.

But I have one question: In G31314, the 14 curved and 6 straight road sections
are claimed to be identical, but the Nordic versions look different. They contain
studs on the road, and all road sections have subtle differences (see example
of two curved sections in attached image). They may be hard to differentiate
by users, so should I just create one part and maybe have a note on it that inform
of the differences, or should every different part be created?

/Jan

So you used to be able to click on the picture of a piece in the catalog, sort
of a quick view. You'd see the years it was made, any sets/minifigures the
piece was in, etc. You all know what I'm talking about. Well, a few days
ago I couldn't do it anymore. I've tried three different devices.

Why would they make such a horrible change for? I rely on that heavily when listing
minifigure parts to make sure I have the correct listing. This is going to make
this job twice as long now.

Should be fixed now.

The zoom-in bug was fixed a few weeks ago but it seems that a recent site update
may have reverted the fix. I'll forward the information to someone on our
development team to take a look. I'll let you know once we've resolved
the issue.

Thank you!

Doesn't work for me either. This happened a few weeks ago. Then all of a
sudden I could enlarge them again. Then a couple days ago, it stopped letting
me enlarge them again. A big pain if you ask me.

I checked the HTML source for when you go through "Market" - "Parts" - "[some-category]"
and there is no "onclick" or anchor or anything, so this is not a browser issue.

By poking around I fond you can get the old behaviour back by changing the URL
of the page. For instance, when browsing the "Accessory, Human Tool" category,
it lands on the following URL:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=990&itemBrand=1000

Now manually change the URL to read as follows (add "Old" in there):

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?catType=P&catString=990&itemBrand=1000

Extremely clumsy, but if you are really needing large pics on those pages.

Niek.

Thank You Sooooooo Much. Life Saver!

Yes.

4460b Slope 75 2 x 1 x 3 - Hollow Stud
Parts: Slope

is taller than described as it is 4 studs high instead of 3 unless there is a
way to measure height I don't know.

Fortunately, there is no 3 studs high slope and I believe any MOCers using the
part just call it by its name and there would be no issue when building.

Strangely, part

Part No: 3684c Name: Slope 75 2 x 2 x 3 - Solid Studs
*
3684c Slope 75 2 x 2 x 3 - Solid Studs
Parts: Slope
and all its variants looks like to be also 4 studs
high and not 3 (last pic clearly shows the same aspect ratio as 4460).
By the way 3684 is not marked for deletion yet.

Where was the issue ? "It's not you it's us" or just me ?

Thanks.

I used to think this until I found Tom Alphin's lego ruler and sorting tool:
http://tomalphin.com/2014/02/lego-ruler-and-sorting-tool.html

One stud is 8mm wide but a plate is 3.2mm high, therefore the size of a 1x1 brick
is 8mm x 8mm x 9.8mm. I have Tom's guide printed and laminated and reckon
that it has saved me a load of time while sorting!

Very handy. Thanks for sharing.

It's been broken for weeks. It doesn't affect all pages, which may be
why some people are reporting the issue and others are not.

It's not browser or OS related so far as I can tell - I've tried three
different browsers on two different OSes and three different computers.

The 'add to wanted list' links are also broken randomly.

It's been broken for a while; there's another thread from a few days
ago about the issue, and I reported it to the helpdesk weeks ago.

The 'Add to wanted list' links are broken in a lot of places too.

Some of them are alrady in the catalog

Part No: 973pb3600c01 Name: Torso T-Shirt with Red Trim and 'CHAMPS' Logo Pattern (BAM) / Red Arms / Yellow Hand Right / Reddish Brown Baseball Glove Left

973pb3600c01 (Inv) Torso T-Shirt with Red Trim and 'CHAMPS' Logo Pattern (BAM) / Red Arms / Yellow Hand Right / Reddish Brown Baseball Glove Left
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.

That one isn't in the BAM. The BAM versions I have seen all come in a gloveless
form and the buyer adds the glove to it.

Is it possible that in German or USA LEGO Brand stores it is sell with glove?

I assume the boxes they come in are the same. All the ones I have seen in the
UK have been without glove. Of course, staff or other customers could add the
gloves then leave the assembly.

We don't have LEGO Brand Store in Poland so no Pick a Brick or Buil a
Minifigure and I have no idea how it looks like.

I got 5 new ones from the boxes in the storage at US Lego store. They are supposed
to have the glove, but most people rip it off and put them on another figure.

Also it would not surprise me if some torsos are sold without glove, and so it
would be good to have the gloveless entry, as otherwise some sellers might have
to sell them as missing a glove when in reality it isn't.

Just to add to the never-ending "identify this part" questions, it's now
been semi-officially confirmed that LEGO has created exclusive elements for the
BaM (Build a Minifgure) bins in LBR stores. I'm sure this will give more
people headaches for authenticating parts, since they will not appear in any
inventories. Looks interesting though, and I hope they keep introducing new
elements.

Some of them are alrady in the catalog

Part No: 973pb3600c01 Name: Torso T-Shirt with Red Trim and 'CHAMPS' Logo Pattern (BAM) / Red Arms / Yellow Hand Right / Reddish Brown Baseball Glove Left
*
973pb3600c01 (Inv) Torso T-Shirt with Red Trim and 'CHAMPS' Logo Pattern (BAM) / Red Arms / Yellow Hand Right / Reddish Brown Baseball Glove Left
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor.

Can we add years to these. Clearly we know what year these appeared first. Also
it would be nice to note somewhere (item description or sub-category) that these
are exclusive to the Build-A-Minifigure (BaM) station in LBR stores. It will
help to have this information in the future, and the years will make it useful
to place these into some chronological context.

Are we sure that there aren't examples that such item later were used in
normal sets. I do not reckon now such cases when firstly such parts were in BaM
station and later appeared in normal sets but maybe there are such. Then adding
year could be problematic as when parts appear in a set then system add year
automatically and I do not know what bug in the system then occurs

For now we add years for those type parts

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?catType=P&catString=534&itemBrand=1000

The problem is also with normal parts which are in sets but are in colors which
do not appear in sets. Recently were added

Part No: 12890 Name: Minifigure, Hair Female Long Straight
*
12890 Minifigure, Hair Female Long Straight

*
17346 Minifigure, Hair Female Long Straight with Bangs - Flexible Rubber

There is no possibility to match that they are from BaM station

But for now I added a note for mentioned torso part you can check if it is OK.
