Can we add years to these. Clearly we know what year these appeared first. Also
it would be nice to note somewhere (item description or sub-category) that these
are exclusive to the Build-A-Minifigure (BaM) station in LBR stores. It will
help to have this information in the future, and the years will make it useful
to place these into some chronological context.

These have now been added to the set inventory.
Now awaiting approval of minifig and set inventories and job should be done.
Approx. 6 hours of unpaid work leaving me with a used set. I think that'll
be my first and last inventory. But thanks for letting me try it out.

Or that the size be formatted as “2 x 1 x 3 (studs x studs x bricks)” or, better,

As complete minfigs check how other in Harry Potter are named then name it similar.
Names of minfigs should be also how LEGO names them on the box or in the offcial
description of set. (It is on LEGO S&H page)
https://shop.lego.com/en-PL/product/the-rise-of-voldemort-75965
"Includes 4 minifigures: Harry Potter™ with wand and Triwizard Challenge outfit,
Lord Voldemort™ with wand, Peter Pettigrew with wand and a Death Eater™."
So there you have minfig names
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?pg=1&catString=227&itemBrand=1000&catType=M&v=1
as for weight it is not needed when submitting item to the catalog. Those things
are only needed to get things approved
number
name
image
and that is it.
Weight can be later added by users who can weight it.
Images also don;t need to be super professional
some examples
till we can see what item looks like it is ok.
there are many users who can later correct images to better one.
As for parts names just this advise just look how other similar parts are named
and adjust it to your part
Example one of your torso, look how other are named, there are some things which
are in all torsos names.
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?pg=1&q=973pb%2A&catLike=W&itemBrand=1000&v=1
last one as an example
and template for naming torsos

submitter to the catalog, I wanted to take up the challenge of making an inventory
for a set, and I chose set because I just bought it. At this point,
I have only submitted the sticker sheet to the catalog, and I'm stuck with
10 parts that seem to be new (their PCCs don't exist on BrickLink and I can't
find them through search). I have a few questions for the upcoming work.
1) Should I leave it to a professional to do all this work? I'm thinking
that I can't provide professional pictures of the new parts and I can't
name the remaining parts or supply weight for them.
2) If the answer to 1) is "no", could someone please help me identify the remaining
10 parts or provide me with good names for the parts so I can add them to the
catalog? What do I do with the weight of the parts? I don't have a weight
with the precision needed.
Attached are pictures of the 10 new parts.

They are mostly minifigs parts, legs, torsos etc. For inventory you should add
comelete minifigures assemblies as showed in the instruction.
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?itemYear=2019&catString=227&itemBrand=1000&catType=M
This baby infant should be also added as minfig
Here you have similar ones

After you add those as minifigs to the set than you can do their inventories
legs:
another new printed legs for the catalog

another new printed torsos

another new printed heads
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogListOld.asp?pg=1&q=3626c%2A&catLike=W&itemBrand=1000&v=1
You can add them as separate parts also (by checking how they are listed in the
catalog at above links) but inv admins will require complete minifigs for this
inventory
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=199
"Minifigures - Include whole minifigures as seen in the instructions without
any hand-held accessories. Parts included in minifigures should not be included
in the Regular Items section. Sometimes a set may contain more of the same parts
found on a minifigure in the set (for example: a set includes three helmets with
castle chin guard, but only one of them is on the minifigure). In these cases
include the whole minifigure and then include any additional parts in the Regular
Items section."

Thanx all for the quick replies.
I found a downloadable table on rebrickable. For me that is the most useful solution

I've thought this for a long time now; I agree and for exactly the same reasons.
It's a shame, as some U.S. sellers have great part-lists and excellent sales
- all negated by postage, import duty and P.O. charges (that are generally MUCH
higher than the actual duty).

A type of reverse want list. That is, a way that sellers could peruse the current
want lists to specific buyer's needs, to then as a seller, proactively engage
members like Wayne with offers on items they have on their want list.
Kinda like amping-up the want list and selling process, by getting the sellers
more involved in increasing their sales by actually selling
It's just a rough draft of an idea. Limitations, restriction and other refinements
of the idea, expected.
But hey, BL shot-callers, it speaks directly to upping the sales numbers!

Many times i search for a decorated items (xxxxPBxx for an exemple).
Exemple
I have this one :
2440pb002 / https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=2911#T=C
But it sadly never appears when we search for 2440 (what's only written on
the part)
And that's only thanks a long search on some other website that i finally
could find it on brickink.
So, is it possible to add all those sub-serial numbers to the normal search
For an exemple it could be a new COLOR category : decorated.
Or as for my exemple, it is a black part with decoration, so to put it in the
BLACK color.
Thanks a lot in advance
|
So basically having Goatleg.com as a feature to Bricklink
or try searching 2440*
Then it will list all 2440 items decorated or not.

To narrow it down further - click Market, then click Search, then use this criteria
to find any decorated 2440 in black.
Only the ones inventoried to a set will show, but this definitely helps when
you're looking for a specific decorated item in a certain color as some of
the parts like tiles have a ton of decorated variations of all colors.

Thanks for your answers
I didnt know the * tip after a serial number.
It works great
Still, that might be helpful i think if for the 2440 (exemple), they all appear
in the color list may they be decorated or not

Also this is a set from 1995 so they were dark gray, not dark bluish gray.

4x 3068bpb1249 because A-model and B-model have their own (but identical) stickers.
|
There may be 4 stickers, but only 2 tiles. So quantity should be 2 for this counterpart.
|
Do we have a general rule for such a case? I thought that usually all possible
stickered parts are added as counterparts regardless how many of them can "exist"
at the same time. Since we have 4 stickers, it would be consequent to add 4 stickered
tiles.
Set 3407, for example, has 6 blank minifigs, but over 30 different stickered
minifigs. (And see also the number of stickered slopes and windows in that set.)
Or what about all those different license plate stickers which are included in
creator expert vehicles? There is usually only one tile to apply them.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against adding 2 instead of 4 tiles. Just
want to understand why.
Regards,
Jonas

In those other cases there are different stickers. In this case the stickers
are the same. So in my opinion only two should be added as counterparts in this
case.
