Not aware of any problems or lack thereof but have noticed similar shades myself.

In Colors, legoman_74 writes:
  Hello,
So I am well aware of the "sun burnt" effect on white, blues, yellows, the old
light grays and among other colors, however I am sorting through quite a bit
of used Lego with the old light grays and I pulled quite a bit of them out believing
they were discolored by the sun. Upon closer inspection, they appear to be quite
uniform in their color, including underneath, just definitely a different shade
than the others and not quite like the "sun burnt" ones. Does anyone else out
there recall issues with Lego having off color batches on old light grays in
the past like they have trouble with now on the new light bluish grays and yellows?
Thanks in advance for everyone's time.
Sincerely,
Ken

I missed that bit about the catalogue, hopefully there is some reference number
on it of some sort.

If we find more info in the future the number could be altered or confirmed.

If there is no meaningful reference number then the only way I can see is to
list it as custom, which it isn't but I can't think of anything else.

Sadly the custom option is not a great one as people won't see it there unless
they check as thoroughly as I do from time to time.

Last question about it, i hope.

I want to add this set to the catalog, but how should i number/name it? There
is no set number to be found.

He wants to add it to the catalog, so it won't have to be listed as a custom
item.

Never seen this before but found another similar item on the net, apparently
an exclusive to France.

I acquired in the meantime the 'mystery' set i posted about in this subforum,
and it had on the poster several stickers with this typenumber. I googled it,
but nothing came up.

It is about this set.

Neither the red or white are listed as known colours for 31b, I assume it's
because no set has been identified with these included.
Both are already for sale.

In Catalog, Doodlebug writes:
I was identifying an assortment of Red windows and noticed an omission. If I
look at the screen depicting all windows available in Red, 31b is not there.
I had to open the screen for 31bc01 to see there was an item with the number
31b. Why is it not there if you have 31, 31a, 31ac01, & 31bc01?

Suggests there must be, no idea what that would be.

The Hardcover however is normally the more expensive.

Variation has different id number, see photo's.

If you read the text at the bottom of the current catalog image, it says "NOT
FINALLY APPROVED BY LICENSOR - FOR SALES MATERIAL ONLY"

That makes me think that the current catalog image is a prototype image and not
the actual book cover that made it to publishing.

Cheers,
Randy

That could be it, but where does the different number come from? Is that also
related to a prototype?

For some reason I can find two versions on a popular Dutch online store. The
description seems to be nearly identical, but the price is not...

2)

Could there be a difference in the bookbinding?

Does anyone know if they are readily available anywhere/everywhere ?

I have the chance to buy others but that may not be possible after tomorrow.

The bricks don't seem to be listed yet.

I stumbled across these, complete surprise.

Is there much of an interest in the book and brick as they had a few more ?
