Aww, thanks! That made my day.

  drug or alcohol induced

Nope. You may not believe this, but I have never even tasted alcohol and have
never experimented with drugs. I don't use caffeine. I smoke cigarettes
and that's it.

I don't think there's a thing wrong with drug or alcohol use, but I have
always preferred to be in control of my own mind. I do, however, think that life
is something of an absurdity and a joke and I intend to laugh at it whilst I
am able in whatever ways I find.

So what do you say? Are they still considered to be the same color although they
seem not to be?

Er, now they look aubergine (egg plant / dark purple), not (reddish) brown.

Yeah, that picture wasn't any good. I think my camera get confused by the
wood color of my table.

Here's another pic of the two capes from the 7665 set (left, middle) set
and one from 7965 (right, guaranteed reddish brown). Well, the capes are actually
three shades of brown, the rightmost is the darkest. Now I'm totally confused.

Am creating a new catalog entry for the early version of the set

Note that the later version of the set included 13 sealed bags instead of the
12 bags from the first version. An attached photo from an auction site shows
the contents of the later set, although the green large bricks are not visible
in the photo.

Also, the date printed on the activity/instructions cards is 1994, but the date
printed on the cover/inventory card is 1993. The actual date of re-release is
unknown. I went with 1994, but it could have been earlier.

I just have to say that no matter what the subject is, I always read thru your
post completely in search of the humor you often interject! Doesn't matter
to me if it's natural, drug or alcohol induced, sleep deprivation, or simply
that the rest of bricklink has driven you mad---I appreciate a good chuckle/chortle/guffaw!
Thanks for all you do!

  Another message follows.

I wanted to include some additional information about this set for future reference
and an inventory change is the best way to do that.

First, I personally and carefully checked every single brick in this set from
sealed contents for which I opened every bag and handled the parts (photos of
my set attached). Mine was the early version of the set released in 1991 and
there were 12 bags in the set. All of the bricks included cross supports except
a single 2 x 3 brick in yellow (the other 11 of the same brick had cross supports).
This is a late appearance for this brick (two years late according to BrickLink's
current timeline) and I was surprised to find it, but there it was.

As for inside supports, those little ridges inside the brick which are only currently
distinguished for one brick (the Brick 2 x 2 without Inside Supports in case
the title or part number changes in the future):

Part No: 3003old Name: Brick 2 x 2 without Inside Supports
*
3003old Brick 2 x 2 without Inside Supports
Parts: Brick

All bricks in the set, including those with designs, had these ridges with the
exceptions listed below. I mention this because it will be useful data if we
decide to distinguish these parts in the future (I compared the parts listed
below (except the last two, for which I had no comparison parts) to recent examples
and all of the newer bricks I checked had inside supports).

The aforementioned 2 x 3 brick in yellow without cross supports.
All 2 x 6 bricks in the set.
All 2 x 8 bricks in the set.
All 2 x 10 bricks in the set.
All 4 x 12 bricks in the set.
All 8 x 16 bricks in the set.

The empty window frames had hollow studs as I indicated in the inventory. The
bricks with eyes had no white included as indicated in the inventory.

Finally, and I really don't think we'd ever distinguish this difference,
exactly half of the doors and windows were attached to the left and half to the
right. So two doors attached facing left and four windows attached facing left
and the same number of each facing right. TLG did not distinguish this difference
and I see no need for us to. The door and window directions are easily reversible.

The complete contents of the set are the storage case with no lid, 12 bags of
parts and four green large bricks loose, the cover/inventory cardboard with nothing
printed on the other side, four double-sided activity/instructions cards, and
the informational sheet of paper. All of these are included in an outer original
box with the set number printed thereupon. I have the activity cards from the
1994 version and verified that each of these was different than the 1991 version
in spite of having the same 6-digit identification number printed on each card
for both versions.

I'm certain this last bit has no relevance whatsoever to the discussion,
but I mention it for the sake of completeness: my second cousin's first name
is Frank.

As previously written, my camera is not able to capture the nuance of the color
in the way I see it.

Anyway, I just realized that I have set

Set No: 7965 Name: Millennium Falcon
*
7965-1 (Inv) Millennium Falcon
1229 Parts, 6 Minifigures, 2011
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 4/5/6
which contains a reddish brown
cape. I just compared. There's a definite difference in color. The one from
7965 definitely has a reddish tint, which I still think the other one is missing.
I took a new picture, but the difference is still not as clear as I see it with
my eyes.

So what do you say? Are they still considered to be the same color although they
seem not to be?

Marek, is it possible to leave this request open? I am busy now, but I can work
more on it.

You have only this one now pending in this bunch of requests
adding of this part as alternate

Part No: x466c96blue Name: Electric, Wire 12V / 4.5V with 2 Leads, 96 Studs Long with 2 Blue Electric, Connector, 2-Way Male Rounded Narrow Type 2 with Hollow Pins (x466c96 / bb0236ac01)

Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector
All other are now approved or rejected.

You didn't show any proof for it yet.

I was confused between the blue connector
[p=bb141c01]
and
[p=bb236bc01]
The wire with connector

Part No: x466c96blue Name: Electric, Wire 12V / 4.5V with 2 Leads, 96 Studs Long with 2 Blue Electric, Connector, 2-Way Male Rounded Narrow Type 2 with Hollow Pins (x466c96 / bb0236ac01)
*

Parts: Electric, Wire & Connector
comes with the connector
[p=bb236bc01]
These things should be fixed (better photos to be added, wires need to have an
inventory so that we can easily see what connector comes with what wire)
I did not know that the blue connector
[p=bb141c01]
exists (thought it exists only in light gray). Currently, it appears only with
the set 901-1 (only released in US) but it is listed ONLY by European sellers.
With what set did these European sellers find it? (I don't know, but my guess
is 107-1)
The box art of 107-1 shows the blue connector
[p=bb141c01]
but the box art and instructions of sets 182-1 and 183-1 shows the connectors
[p=bb236bc01]
The white wire with blue connector bb141c01 is not yet added to the catalog of
BL. If the inventory admins decide to keep bb141c01 with 107-1, somebody should
first add it but I don't have any copy of this blue connector.

Sorry for the long wait for conclude this request
Exactly part assembly plugs with wire which you want to add to the set to replace
separate entries of plugs an wire are not the same, plugs variant is diffrent
in assembly than variant of blue plugs which was in this inventory.

I will return the original blue plug and white wire which were there before this
request to regular section of this inventory and move 996bc96gray to alternate.

So as this part which left in this request is wrong for this set (wrong variant
of plugs) this will be rejected.

We can return to this inventory when correct plug and wire assembly will be added
to the catalog with photo.

Shouldn't 30027u remain or be given a different part number?

Not.
The hinge brick and the hinge plate always came separated.

  and I need
the ability to add this part to my store inventory in a new state […]

This assembly can’t be New: you have assembled the parts yourself, that’s the
definition of Used.

Rubbish, putting two brand new, unused parts together does not make them used.
I list the assembly as new if the parts came from a sealed set

You assembled the parts. That's literally the definition of what makes them
used (previously assembled). You can't build a set and then sell it as 'new,
only assembled once'. There was a big argument a few years ago about whether
stacking bricks/plates at the Pick-A-Brick wall made them 'used' instead
of 'new' (my opinion is yes). There's also the argument that minifigs
can't be sold as 'new' if they are assembled (I'm on the fence
about this one).

I personally think that assembled hinges can be marked as new because they have
not been taken apart and if a buyer wants separated parts, they can order them
separately. Maybe there should be an option for marking the condition of inventories
as "new but assembled".

So on the page for this part someone had photographed a macaroni tile in classic
blue which isn’t in any set. Is it coming out soon? If not, maybe it should be
removed? I really want one of these bug assume it’s a prototype for the time
being?

Isn't this part on real photo there just dark azure, but it's look like
this due to lighting condition of photo?

I think that that's what it is

It has been sometime I am thinking about this one:
Does opening the screws (located on the top) and removing the motor housing in
order to check the production date make this old motors used? (these motors were
not sealed in any way, so opening the motor is very easy: one only need to open
the screws)

Part No: x469b Name: Electric, Motor 4.5V Type C 12 x 4 x 3 1/3 (Train)

I'd say used, as there is the possibility of damage when opening it. Of course,
you could test it by applynig power to it, but that makes it used. There will
also be minor wear on the screws, just like clicking two bricks together and
unclicking them causes wear and makes them used.

Just to correct that, the argument about minifigures is can a seller assemble
them and still call them new. There is no argument about can a minifigure be
new if it is assembled - the answer is clearly yes, as in some cases LEGO sells
assembled minifigures and by definition those assembled minifigures can be new
as that is how they were sold.

Well, the definition says New should have been manipulated for sorting only.
Opening isn’t sorting… unless you sort by production date

Now, it’s about screws, not clicking plastic parts, so it’s less “Used” than,
say, removing arms from a torso, but some may see it as “Used” nonetheless.
