I don't see Order PartID/Item No
in "Order Item Removal Request".
It would be very helpful to see it

Currently if an order is placed with instant checkout, the order goes into an
in progress state while Bricklink waits for some confirmation of payment from
Paypal. The order stays in that state for 10 minutes according to some other
posts in the forum.

I would like the API to be able to access these orders and the stock that is
tied up on them.

The reason is so that I can get an accurate picture of my inventory even if I
have in progress orders.

After all while the in progress order is there, I still have this inventory on
the shelf, but I don't have an order that it belongs to.

The absence of this feature is the only reason stopping me from turning instant
checkout on.

We currently have some damaged items in our shop. We offer them at a discount
and some buyers enjoy being able to buy very cheap items for filling purposes,
among others.

We add the fact that the lots are damaged in the description so that people know
what they're buying. The problem is that when going through a wish list,
bricklink will select those items seeing as they're cheaper and some buyers
understandably don't want to buy damaged items.

Would there be interest in the community to ask bricklink to add a tick box for
'damaged' when used is selected? This would benefit all involved, buyers
could simply select a tick box to identify damaged items and buyers could choose
whether they want to have damaged items taken in account for a wishlist.

If there is another solution that currently exists, we're obviously interested!

Right now we're at the point where we're wondering if we should open
a second store for just damaged items but that would involve a lot more work
on our part and we're not sure if it would be allowed by bricklink.

I don't know if this applies to all sellers but I rarely list my entire inventory
for any individual minifig part all at the same time mainly because whenever
I've done this in the past there usally comes a point when someone will buy
out all your stock in one go however many hundreds of the same part you might
have!
This is usually because you've dropped your guard and are suddenly selling
well below the BL average for the current price/demand and of course at that
point its too late for you to adjust your pricing to fit in line with current
market value. The other thing is I like to hold back stock for future minifig
builds as there's nothing worse than having to buy back minifig parts at
double or even tripple the price you once sold them for yourself!

Anyway getting to the point....

This can mean that with the smaller amounts I list in my store at any one time
I can unknowingly sell out of a part for weeks or months at a time before I even
notice and remember to replensih my store inventory again which is not good for
buyers, not good for BL and certainly not good for me!

Therefore I can't help but wonder whether BL should implement a similar system
to Brickowl where as your picking your order you can also see exactly how many
you will have left in your store thereby allowing you to easily re-adjust your
inventory as you go?
Even ebay has now implemented this feature as I think they also recognise that
this helps prompt sellers to replenish or re-purchase stocks before selling out!

I've also noticed that many other BL sellers try to get around this problem
by creating 4 or 5 listings for the same part all with varyig prices so that
as they sell out at the cheapest price they still have the same item listed at
higher prices but this just creates clutter and makes shopping with these sellers
very frustrating as you end up having to search through quadruple the number
of pages seeing the same items come up again and again!
Really not sure why Sellers do this as its not good for business and I've
quite often found myself having to give up with browsing any further through
their stores.

Does anyone share a similar view on this or perhaps theres a different way around
this that I'm missing?

TL;DR: Please display the seller's positive/negative feedback ratio next
to the store name, instead of a flat feedback count.

----

(My other post goes into too much detail, so I'm pulling out my actual suggestion
into another post.)

I recently purchased from a seller who is now suspended. It turns out, there
were warning signs buried in his feedback about three or four pages back, but
most of his feedback was positive.

I realized after this experience that there is no indication about the seller's
positive or negative ratings, like there is on eBay or Amazon.

There is a number which can indicate the feedback count, but this is not helpful.

If instead of a flat number, it indicates the amount of positive/negative feedback,
I would have dug deeper into the seller's feedback. At least I would have
known that this seller was a risk, and there was a 1 in 50 chance he'll take
3 weeks before he ships.

Sorry if this has been brought up already or if I have missed something.

I (seller) currently have an order with pending item removal requests that I
have made to the order. There is no indication of this in either the "Order Received"
list or in the individual order page. Because of this it is easy to miss and
invoice with the items still remaining in the order.

Cheers,

/Patrick

Sometimes one negative feedback is just not enough, especially when you've
been thoroughly abused and belittled by a seller.

I made a big (for me) purchase from a seller - 1288 pcs in 61 lots.

The seller didn't do anything about, act on it, nothing, until a whole week
when I asked him about it. He said he will pack it in a few days and will ship
it the following week. That's two weeks after I paid for it.

The week after, I followed up on it again.

He said he's working on "all orders as we speak" and again promised shipping
it by the end of that week.

I waited again (this was over two weeks from payment), and still no movement.

In the meantime, he kept getting positive reviews multiple times a day from other
buyers.

This means he's been processing and shipping everyone else's orders,
but deliberately ignoring mine.

Day after day.

For over two weeks.

On week 3, I messaged him again.

This time he said he was packing it that day.

At the end of the day, I followed up again, he said he will mail it the day after.

Over three weeks after payment before he shipped my order, and only after I followed
up with him 4 times.

Just to add icing to the cake, the shipment was missing 83 pieces across 8 lots.

After all this, the most I can give him is one lousy negative review, severely
limited by the number of characters, to be drowned out by all the other customers
he dutifully served while persistently and consistently ignoring mine.

It's just nowhere near proportional to the treatment I got.

Hi All,

I would like to suggest adding an order "total volume" along with order total
weight that is listed at the bottom of the order summary.

This would go a long way to helping decide what size box is needed and help with
checking/figuring out boxes for instant checkout.

Thanx,

Milissa

I think all extra charges should be eliminated, altogether. its not right, you
post how much you want for the piece, you don't pay for shipping the buyer
does, and in most cases its over inflated, but thats not good enough the seller
controls it all.
its stealing.I am a buyer and a seller, so i do know what im saying.something
should be done about it.if nothing else you should have it posted in bold type
next to your name, that way you can chose to move on to a honest seller. other
sites like this one don't allow it
