  LEAVING BULK FEEDBACK:

As a seller, this would be very nice to be able to leave feedback in bulk.

Also, being able to create a few preset feedback message that also can be randomly
assigned would be nice as well.

request was misinterpreted/misunderstood.

Please make it so that the tracking number can be displayed on the Orders Placed
Page. As shown in this picture.

This option already existing on the order received page, however not on the orders
placed. The buyer has to click on each order to determine the tracking number
(or if the buyer put the number on the order).

This currently is not an option for orders placed (as shown in the picture).

Thank you,
Cob

I voted yes for this and could never understand why it was never included in
the first place.

Thanks for solidifying the request.

I would like to have implemented that members that are stoplisted by me
- would also not be able to send me messages
- would also not be able to enter my store

If I remember it right, this is how it was before.
Today I received another request to unblock a member. I don't want messages
from member I stoplisted, for they are stoplisted for a very good reason.

I am stoplisted by some sellers I never had any transaction with, not as seller,
not as a buyer. It's very annoying when I spend a lot of time searching for
parts and fill my shopping cart and then get the message that I can't buy
from this seller.

Diana

You can't stop someone from logging out and going into your store, so they
can get in no matter what. Being able to send messages from a block account
is a new one though.

I don't have any problems with stoplisted members visiting my store. But
as a buyer I want to know that I'm stoplisted by a seller before I go shopping
in that store. It's not as urgent as my second suggestion, but believe it
or not. There's this seller that Always pops up when I'm looking for
certain parts and after I filled my cart, Bricklink says that I can't buy
from this seller. I'm stoplisted and I don't know why, because I never
bought from nor sold to this member. Like I said, it's not that urgent, but
before it was like this, so changing it to the way it used to be, wouldn't
be that difficult imo.

That definitely wasn't like that before.

Thanks for the laugh. Seriously, though, it is a good suggestion.

I expect to see the suggestion implemented around August of 2021. Am I being
too negative?

Well considering the initial announcement was made on Dec 20th (and not everyone
received the email, and it was not broadcast through the BL messaging system)
and considering I commented on this on January 8th, we could well be in for a
wait.

Were there any other TOS changes between 2013 and now?

2. Is already a feature:

In the catalog page for an item, the highlighted area displays how many you have
in your inventory, and clicking on the number takes you to your inventory page
for the item.

See image.

  Hi,

2 Requests..

1. I would like to see if I have a part in inventory when I look at a set and
it's parts. This connects to the 2nd request bellow.

2. It would also be useful to see if I have a part in inventory without having
to search my inventory for it.

I am constantly adding parts to my inventory. I first have to locate the part
by searching by type, color, etc. once I find it I then have to do a 2nd search
of the part number an cut/paste in search and change the dropdown to [my inventory].
Would be nice to have a GREEN Heart indicating that you have it in inventory
and links to that part in you inventory. This could go next to the RED heart
for wanted list.

Thx. Jill

I realise this is an old topic/suggestion, but I feel compelled to say that I
remember BLL announcing that they were creating a competitive program to LDD
that would be the best digital LEGO designer out there, and would have full exporting
options to BL. I don;t remember if this project was shelved or not.

In Suggestions, mnementh writes:
Today I had a customer at my retail store ask me to source parts for a project
he designed in Lego Digital Designer. There are 3,742 pieces in 209 lots. I
am obviously not going to create a wanted list for this manually.

I figured i'd just import the parts list into BL and go from there, thinking
surely BL is setup to handle such things.

NOPE!

The only format BL is setup to import is BL XML files. The only formats that
LDD exports as are LXF and XLS. I am sure that there is some magic that can
be worked involving BrickStock, but I shouldn't need a third party program
to get this to work.

With people designing all sorts of things in LDD and LDRAW, BL should be able
to import these formats directly so that those people can source their parts
here. Why this wasn't a priority over the MOC Shop is beyond me. People
are going to be more willing o buy their own designs over someone elses.

So, my suggestion is that BL be able to import, at a minimum:

LEGO Digital Designer files
LDRAW files
Excel Spreadsheet parts lists.

For further incentive: This already works at BrickOwl. I was able to import
the LDD file directly, and BO provided me with an estimate of the cost. This
is all that was needed at this point, but I was able to go further and search
stores for the parts.

Would much prefer to buy here, but if my customer decides to proceed with the
project itlooks like i will be shopping at BO.

"Cuusoo" is printed on the Lego boxes. The average person probably doesn't
know that Cuusoo is another company. It just seems like BL is trying to cash
in on Lego Cuusoo's reputation. I don't see any other explanation for
it because it seems pointless since the MOC Shop already exists.

Cuusoo is printed on the boxes as they were similar to co-promotions. What does
it matter what the average person thinks? Cuusoo is a company in it's own
right, and they are allowed to use their own name. Lego has not right over it.

Mojang is also printed on a number of boxes too, and they are also allowed to

>;create their own products separate from Lego. The same thing with McDonald's,

Shell, etc. Lego can has no right to their company names or trademarks or to
stop them working with another company once any agreement with them has finished.
If/when lego stops doing Minecraft sets, then they could legally switch to megabloks
or cobi if they wanted to.

Not always true - this is only speculation as I have no idea of the nature/content
of the legal agreement between LEGO and CUUSOO, but it is possible that LEGO
made stipulations about what CUUSOO could or could not do with regards to working
with construction bricks immediately after the end of contract and further time
after that. If CUUSOO agreed to those conditions when they committed to the initial
contract then they would need to abide by them afterwards or face legal ramifications.

My gut feeling, though, is that TLG would never have entered into a contract
with CUUSOO if they had any doubts about their integrity and I suspect that CUUSOO
is not breaking any agreements, that they may have had with TLG, with this latest
venture.

Thats a nice pitchfork and torch you carry.

Can you elaborate on what some of these horrible bad things are that BL has recently
done that now make it impossible for anyone to ever use BL again?

You should have seen the previous version that my more level-headed wife insist
that I dispose of...

No need to elaborate on the horrible, bad things. Go to http://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?nID=&v=c&max=20&mTP=Y
and read the titles. BL devs screwed up. It happens.

My point isn't the changes, it is how they are rolled out. There is clearly
very little testing being performed on these changes before they are pushed live.
What testing that is performed is clearly inadequate.

Would you expect these kind of issues to persist, and occur again and again,
on one of the more major e-tailers? How about your bank web portal? Or your
network security updates? Perhaps it is acceptable with the software that makes
it possible for a modern vehicle to function?

My expectations are already quite high (based on my job responsibilities), and
I refuse to lower them for this website (or any other), based on all the PR that
has been feed to us regarding the state of BL, the dedication of the new owner,
the quality of the BL team, and the resources being thrown at BL.

In short, expectations - those set by BL itself - are not being met. Let's
start with making sure that what changes are made are done correctly with as
little interruption as possible.

And at the very least - announce changes BEFORE they occur. Right now, it seems
like the changes are implemented then they wait for us to find them. Then a week
or so later the cs team makes an announcement about the change.

That seems ass-backwards to me.

In Suggestions, lovaquero writes:
  SUGGESTION:
BL development team needs to implement a validation process to validate any changes
made to BL prior to live roleout. This should include the use of personas,
a focus test team, and potential involvement of community members.

This is common industry practice for any software development team, and is needed
if BL is operating in a Scrum/Agile development fashion (which appears to be
the case).

--------------------------------------

I REALLY like how BL is finally starting to implement some of the
suggestions from the BL community. Many of these changes are positive, and I
commend BL for starting to take action to improve the website.

Having said that, too many of the changes are seemingly being implemented without
any sort of validation or consideration to what the impact will be. It is
like the developers working on the site have no process to prove-out the changes
prior making those changes live.

Case In Point:
A new 'color' box was added to order line-items to help with color-picked
parts. This was implemented in HTML as a 'background' color. On-screen
this looks good, but to print you must enable background printing. This, in
turn, caused the entire page to print, which was too much. So BL removed all
background color, made the order page completely white (even overriding default
browser settings) and added a thick black border around the order.

Problems with this:
(1) To print the color boxes one still needs to change print settings specific
to BL. Then change back the settings for other websites.
(2) If you DO print orders, you now have roughly doubled your black ink
comsumption due to the unneeded black border
(3) If you DO NOT print orders, you are blinded by the glaring order page.
This is bad for your eyes and bad for your monoitor.
(4) You cannot override the layout/color scheme due to webpage implementation

All of these problems should have been identified and addresses prior to the
constant changes being implemented. A proper validation process would have identified
the root problem (i.e. how the color boxes were implemented) and created a solution
to fix the root problem rather then its symptoms (i.e. unable to print the color
boxes). This would have resulted in the issue being identified and corrected
(i.e. implement the boxes differently) before the new feature was mode live on
the website.

For BL 1.0, which is what I am referring to, I say edit the graphic and remove
