Comments from Submitter:
This item is totally missing from the inventory. Can see it in photo and is on other websites inventory list.

It already is in the inventory, it's part of a minifig...

It would be nice if the original price of each set was posted in one of the menus.

voted NO

there has been a time when MSRP was 'mentioned' in the menus, I'm
glad (and many others with me) it got removed. MSRP is different in different
parts of the world and is only a guideline / valid when a set is still *actively*
running. Once it's end-of-life it becomes irrelevant what MSRP *used to be*,
so it would require active 'control' over the database and the priceguide
and even that wouldn't be accurate, as end-of-life ain't equal in all
regions at the same time... So it's falsified data that has no place whatsoever
on a selling website, such data is available on 'non commercial' websites,
quite fine IMHO.

I've had a few situations where I would like the opportunity to attach an
image to messages to other members. Usually to confirm that the condition of
a used part is acceptable to my customer and/or is the color they are looking
for, and occasionally to send a photo of my cat.

Would anyone else find value in this functionality?

Already exists...
If you activate
Receive Contact Messages To: Both E-Mail and My Messages on following page:
http://www.bricklink.com/pref_contact.asp

Then any message from any member send on bricklink will also be send to your
regular inbox.
From there you can reply to the 'contacts' e-mail and attach pictures...

And from buyers you have the e-mail in your order form, so you can simply copy
it on BL and paste it in your mailerbrowser and send a mail, including pictures...

Easy

Thanks,
OOO_Shiny

I set up an account for my wife. So it has the same shipping address. She never
uses it. I created it to see what the buyer's experience is like in my store
when it first opened. Is this frowned upon?

No...
and yes...

For startes, BL allows 'individuals' to have each their account, so within
a household it is perfectly possible husband and wife (or husband and husband
or wife and wife) to have each their account, even an adult 'kid' of
both can have his/her account.
And as a matter of fact, I know several households who each have their account
and some even their own shop... There are also members who have accounts which
are registered differently, one as an individual, one as a 'company',
also perfectly possible.
It is clear these situations must be mentioned to the adminstration, to avoid
conflicts, particulary in regards to IP matching...

Now your case seems a bit different... The secondary account is in your wifes
name, but she didn't actually opened the account, you did, as you clearly
state 'I set up' and 'I created' and 'she never uses it',
so technicly it is not 'her' account, it is your account and you just
used her name (hopefully with her consent, otherwise it's theft of identity
LOL), so the purpose of that account is in conflict with the ToS. I would strongly
suggest to shut down that account (= unregister), particulary if it was only
for testing purposes when you first opened, so not much point to keep it around
anyway

Cheers, Eric

As it is now when a seller uses two accounts to create fake sales and fluff their
feedback score the merge completely wipes out any evidence of the poor behavior*.

Is that what happens? I thought that both the feedbacks stayed, and the seller
ended up with 2 positives (from themselves). That is what used to happen. (And,
of course, that's even worse than what you describe.)

As far as I know, they do stay, unless something changed in those regards since
the site upgrade, or unless one of the admins was proactive about it (while IMO
they shouldn't).

In thee case of the person who prompted this suggestion, I think that they removed
both feedbacks themselves after the problem was noted in that thread.

That is indeed the other option, but both? And *after* the merge (or was it done
before the merge)? The feedback removal system allows to choose 'feedback
I posted', but if an account was merged in the mean while, does it mean both
feedbacks are removed at the same time, or only the one as a seller (as the main
account would be the seller). I'd love to find out, but without active testing
(which would imply to create another account), it won't be easy to figure
it out

Regardless, I agree with the suggestion.

Ditto

This means that potential buyers won't likely know of it to avoid shopping
in that particular store.

My suggestion is that when such a merge includes feedback that it becomes a negative
with a standardized BL comment.

* Sure you can see the merge history though it does not necessarily mean poor
intentions.

P.S. My only concern is that it may be pointless as the member would just create
a different account to sell under. Thoughts?
