This is the biggest highway I’ve ever driven on!

There’s a section of the Interstate in Orange County, CA, where the 605 transitions
into the 405 as it merges with the 22 (Garden Grove Frwy). There used to be 18
lanes of traffic on that stretch of Hwy, 9 each way. Add to that, are two
major N/S bound Blvd's that intersect that same stretch, each with
8 lanes of traffic. So many are trying to get on, or get off within those couple
of miles

I still remember the challenge it was at times getting all the way over, especially
with the heavy truck traffic from the Port of Long Beach, using it too. If you
have gander with Google, it still may be the same chaotic case. It was always
impressive, that stretch of Hwy. Not just it's expanse, but the "Road
Warrior" feel of it too

And always working on some part of it. Past that mess a few weeks ago

Yeah, that's the real rub when trying to get around nowadays, the perpetual
road work that never seems to get much of anything done. Unfortunately, we've
got our share of those up here in Seattle too, Kevin. The never-ending projects
that take inexplicable years rather than the expected weeks or even months. Years
of tying up the daily commute of thousands.

I almost always take the buyer's side, but in this case...

This is a problem buyer/seller who should have been kicked off the platform years
ago.

6% of feedback left by this buyer is negative (which is unheard of over so many
transactions).

The funny part is that as a seller, they have a history of sending out dodgy
parts and then making excuses in their feedback replies.

They will be the 10th person added to my stoplist in 20 years.

Popsicle was teasing me just last week about why I have so many people (already)
on my stop list and it's because I try to really dig in to these stories.

Don't recall that conversation "teasing" or otherwise. Can you point
to it? For my own sanity

I was raised as a photojournalist in my early early career, so i'm always
asking questions and wanting to know more. I found the same statistics you did
and was absolutely amazed they had so few "retaliatory" negatives.

Respectfully, you're part of the problem. That is, if you're actually
interested in correcting yourself, fellow one dad show?

To start, the hypocrisy is problematic. You're among those that hold that
a buyers responsibility within a transaction ends with payment, I assume:

Sorry, but the short-sightedness is tiresome. So much so, that I find it difficult
to muster enough empathy for your current buyer predicament. We, all of us, reap
what we sow in the end. Suffice to say a buyers responsibility in the completion
of a transaction, does not end with payment

-popsicle

I'm sorry to see that you feel I'm part of the problem

Don't be sorry. You asked "If I'm the problem, I want to correct
myself" Which I assumed was an earnest statement.

but I believe you have taken my words out of context.

Always possible with me, and why I cancelled my post prior to your reply.

Of course the transaction does not end once the shipping begins. Both messages you posted are specifically referring
to sellers setting the status to completed. My point in both those messages were
that I feel as though it is up to the buyer to change that setting as they are
they only one that can truly say that a transaction is completed, not the seller
who does not know if they buyer is done yet.

So, with context, IMO, the last setting a seller should change the status to
is shipped. Nowhere did I say that that was the end all of a transaction.

Try with a small set whose part-out price you can check by hand?

Oh yes that worked! I chose a small HP set and compared the part out to how much
it would cost to buy the parts from my store. Buying from my store was cheaper
then the part out value. So to answer the question for the future, it appears
the part out value is the before sale price or base price.

As long as you've been around, this comes as revelation to you? That's
interesting... I guess better late than never, or never stop learning (as a member
in Texas was known to sign-off with) both apply.

It extends further, the whole play at the shallow end of the pool before taking
the plunge into deeper end

  Dear cory,

Im sorry to read this part of your and randy's story.

My back shivered reading this, and im sorry for the loss.

I truely hope plans for the holidays are made.
To keep you guys connected , not because of Randy but For Randy.

Sincere blessings.

Very thoughtful.

He changed his name sometime after moving to Sweden, to Rand. I remember talking
to him about it then, because I had a problem calling him by his newly chosen
name. He'd always be Randy to me, iow. He understood. But everyone else called
him Rand, even his kids.

He said it was after learning that "randy" had another meaning that
he didn't care to be called... Typical Randy But he was a fan of Alice
O'Connor (Ayn Rand) in college too, so I don't know. I alway thought
it was because it just sounds more serious without the "ee" sound, that
he changed it.

York. Mailed this morning with a 6:45 PST acceptance scan.

Contest Parameters:

~ Two entries per member, per 24 hour period

  Hey everyone,

I've been thinking recently and I have come to the conclusion that I want
to sell a large part of my personal collection. One part of this collection includeds
a lot of older used sets, mostly ninjago and starwars. They are all mostly complete
but I don't know for sure, and I don't really have the time to check
every single one individualy. The seccond part of the collection are a lot of
minifigures, from a large variaty of themes, both new and used. How would I
best go about selling these?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Plastic toy bulk sell-offs in today's global economic environment? Sadly
the only tip I can offer, is to learn how to grab your ankles without pulling
a muscle I've tried and pretty much given up on any bulk sell-off which
doesn't involve that undesired position.
