Is it just the holiday season which brings out the newbie buyers who place an
order and then are in the wind about payment?

I've opened my store to allow 2 new buyers to purchase from me - didn't
have enough fb to do a manual invoice and my lot limits were low. They place
the order and then vanish, no payments. I've opened 2 NPB cases in the last
2 weeks .

I have reset my lot limits and expanded my shipping so IC can accommodate larger
orders in hopes this will fix the problem and send them to IC instead. I now
have 1 huge order , waiting for payment and it ties up my parts for 2 weeks -
5 days to open the NPB and 7 days to close. Not sure why BL cannot adjust the
close time frame.

Just wondering how other sellers handle these buyers - they don't communicate
or if the communicate it's along the lines of "can you wait a month for
payment", like I have lay-away plans ( LOL).

I tried to set up a local shipping option for my store. The problem is I have
other manual invoice options and suddenly those disappeared and all that was
left was In person pickup. I had to get rid of this option and re-enable the
others and then it all worked.

Is it possible to have other manual options or does the system default to the
$0 shipping one for request for invoice ? I am able to have 2 manual options
- Economy & Priority , so I'm baffled why I cannot have a 3rd option for
local pickup. Anyone have any ideas about this? Just wondering how many options
you can have on a store.

I have a buyer who has made 2 quote requests for a part which is reserved for
them. Both quotes cancel before I even see them.

I've sent them instructions on how to purchase which I found on the Help
section but I do not know how to help them purchase the part. Anyone with experience
on reserved parts for buyers or has done one themselves ( been the buyer whose
part was reserved)- I need help to tell them what to do. I marked the part as
manual , it is set up for only them by user ID.

How do they get a quote or use manual / request an invoice for this part/order?
Or can reserved parts only be IC ?

Can someone who has a chrome silver modified tile with groove & lip tell me if
there are Lego markings on the bottom part? And if so , what is the marking?

I need to know if all chrome silver lego parts have markings or if some are made
without them. It's hard to tell on parts which have no studs to determine
if they are fakes.

I have a Lego Fabuland chair which is probably the Fabuland brown but the color
looks more like a medium nougat ( standard Lego colors). Is the Fabuland brown
more of orangey brown color or does the color somewhat vary?

I have little to no experience with this product line and this color is a mystery
to me . I want to make sure I list the color correctly.

I have an order - there is a problem and the buyer already paid. I have sent
1 BL message and 2 emails to their email. So far no response. I need advice
on how to proceed - should I refund the 1 part which is not in stock ( inventory
glitch) and ship ? or wait for the buyer to respond. They are new to BL .

Or do I wait a week and then cancel the order, refund in full ?

I'm thinking about adding in a few international countries to ship to. If
and when I receive an international order, does the iOSS number for BL show up
in the order or where would I find it ?

Also for those countries where the customs form is the shipping label, is that
sufficient or do I have to add additional customs forms attached to the package?

Not sure if this is has been asked before - I couldn't find it in the forums.

Why is it that we can open an NPB in 5 days but we have to wait 7 full days
to close it with no resolution ? It doesn't seem fair that our inventory
is tied up for those 7 days while we wait for payment from a buyer - I could
be selling it to someone else.

My suggestion is to change the closure time to 5 days. 7 days only punishes the
seller.

Question about vintage bricks for sellers -

Do you differentiate between the more translucent red color on bricks & the regular
red color ? Or do you just lump them all together and sell them as "red"?

I have a fair amount of the older style bricks, different sizes which are the
more translucent red color - some might call it samsonsite. I just want to know
if it's better to distinguish this color from the solid red bricks - same
vintage.

Sort of a dumb question -

If you add more parts to your inventory and some are sold before you send notifications,
will those additional parts still show up as available for purchase ?

I have quite a few parts to notify about but I am concerned that the inventory
will still show them as available even if they sold already. Has anyone else
had this happen before ?

For those of you who ship international and use Pirate ship, is it fairly straightforward
or do you have any tips ?

I used to do international shipping on Paypyal before COVID struck and then I
switched to just domestic US. Now I use Pirate ship and while it looks fairly
easy, I'd like to know what those of you have experienced, any issues with
the customs form or the new VAT (not sure if applicable). Thanks in advance.

I have my store set to only show instant checkout to new buyers and every so
often , I get a message from a 0 feedback buyer that they cannot check out in
my store. So I respond and lift the setting , explain that they need to refresh
the page and then try to check out- it should work.

The problem is that rarely do these buyers stick around and actually purchase,
then I am left with the setting turned off and that invites some problem buyers
who never pay . I would prefer to leave the setting alone and then send the new
buyer some sort of password to bypass the setting. Is there a way to do that
?

For the seasoned (not new ) buyer, I offer both manual and IC , so it's really
only an issue for the 0 feedback ones. Am curious how other sellers handle this
and if you turn off the setting, how long do you leave it off - my rule is usually
3 days. I've tried messaging the buyers & sending emails directly, none of
it works as they rarely respond.

Just wondering what the general consensus is when a buyer makes a purchase in
your store , you pull it, invoice it and then they start asking for extra parts
. (not included in the invoice). I have had this happen several times recently,
some buyer have already paid and sent the message and others have not paid yet
.

Not sure if this is a recent trend or I am just the unlucky seller who gets
these requests. These aren't usually requests for parts which are expensive
and I usually decide on a case by case basis. Just wondering what the rest of
you do about requests like these if you get them.

I have a weird question about sending wanted list notifications. If the part
is no longer available, will the buyer not be able to purchase it?

I have sent out these notifications before and time to time, I get buyers who
are choosing parts I no longer have. I know it sounds bizarre but they couldn't
all be human error (inventory errors) .

I just want to make sure that when the wanted list notification goes out, it
directs the buyer to my store and they can only purchase there, not through any
email received.

I don't get these notifications so I don't know how it looks or what
it says. Can someone who has used these tell me what the email says and how it
works. I have hundreds of parts to notify about, but I think some of them have
already been purchased by other buyers.

Can someone shed some light on the actual difference between part 3068bpb0851
and 3068bpb0058 ? Mine is dark bluish gray.

I've studied them for hours, and still cannot tell which version I have.
The only difference I see is the power button - one is more defined, brighter
white & 1 isn't.

I have a buyer who placed an order and I sent them a message in BL & filled out
the item removal form asking them to approve removing 1 item - it is out of stock.
The buyer seems a bit clueless as to where to find the form . Can anyone shed
light on where I tell them to find it? I told them to look in their spam folder
for the email from BL and also the Actions section on My BL . Any other suggestions?
I have also emailed them to say that if they want to cancel the whole order,
we would understand and be happy to do that.

I cannot invoice the order as it is and we are sort of stuck in limbo until the
part gets approved to be removed or the buyer sends a message asking to cancel.

Please advise & thanks.
