| Sad to read your husband left this realm already....
Hope you (and your next of kin) are coping alright.
Regarding the Lego, here's my advice, as I think you are not planning on
starting a shop here, but want to pass the Lego on to another AFOL/seller/collector
here.
Contact some UK regional sellers directly through the BL-sytem. Explain what
you want, provide the listings so they can asses the collection. And make you
an offer.
Here's a list of the top sellers in England, UK, you might want to contact:
https://www.bricklink.com/memberList.asp?stateID=10270&countryID=UK&v=3&viewUserType=2
If you want a second opinion on any offer you are given by any seller, I'll
be happy to help you. Just send me the inventory listings (what file type do
you have it in? hopefully XLM, CSV or BrickStore ).
Best of luck and hope this helps!

| This reads more like changing of terms AFTER the order was placed.
THAT is what starts of an entire cascade of incorrect steps including the taking
hostage of the buyer with a NPB thread.
Report this behaviour at @Admin_Russell or the Helpdesk please!

| You could use BrickStore to change the colors.
Parts that do not exist in the colors you are looking for, are in split second
visible.
I use this method for re-coloring MOCs.

There is a downside to this though. If an EU (or UK) buyer wants to cancel an
order and not receive an NPB, then it is better to pay, then invoke their right
of return once it is sent (or just once paid) and then post about it in the forum.
It is especially hard on the the seller if they don’t indicate who pays for return
costs.
|
I think not. BL states this when a NPB may be filed (its NOT obligatory!):
"If there is no payment or communication from the buyer within seven days
of submitting an order, the seller may file a Non-Paying Buyer (NPB) alert."
Seller misused the NPB here as payment was made.
So BL did the only right thing here: remove the NPB as it was incorrectly used
by the seller.

Since you originally paid for the order, the NPB has been removed.
This is the same case with a seller - if a buyer receives the order, any NSS
on that order is removed.

Glad this was the conclusion!
Enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend .

In my opinion when you are selling on Bricklink you should act like a business
due to the fact a buyer cannot know if you are a professional or not. Therefore
this seller did the right thing up to a certain level.
|
Your argument doesn't stand.
When at VAT number or a Chamber of Commerce number is shown in the terms/splash
pages, one can be certain (at least one can check!) whether the seller is a 'business'
or not.
And 'professional' is a strongly overrated: a volunteer at the Voedselbank
can be very professional and still not get paid for the voluntary work he/she
does.
If you mean 'professional' in a way to get money from your actions, that's
completely different from work done 'as a professional': skilled, open
to reflection and feedback and always transparently working.
But hey, that's completely off-topic here !

IOW: that’s not the problem. The problem is abuse of the NPB system.
|
And the real question is: can this abuse be prevented? I think not as most of
the 'rules' here are still based on a set of values of a collective community.
This abuse of the NPB system shows its weakness.
Hope it can be case-specifically fixed by @Admin_Russell.
System fix would be better, but which...?

| Catalog splits this into 2 parts, no further smaller parts.
So I guess not...
I think I have one of those in dark gray somewhere.
If interested, let me know then I'll go looking for it .

| Not sure if it is 'wrong'; inconvenient sure.
This is the note at the listing:
This item was marked for deletion because the set itself does not exist. Rather,
the set number is applied to a book of instructions for a super model built by
combining parts from sets 6877, 6896, and 6923. This super model can only be
built by using parts shown as alternates in the inventory of 6923, meaning the
later alternate version of that set.
As it is NOT a set that was issues by Lego but a combination of parts from 3
sets, I think it is a 'right' conclusion from the catalog admins.
Inconvenient still....

| | UPDATE:
The new login procedure was launched as a security feature, but we have rolled
it back. There should be no issues with Brickstore login at this point.
Please let us know if you continue to experience problems. Thank you for your
patience.
|
Although the request is to let them know if the PROBLEMS are still their, I think
it's fair to confirm everything is back to normal operations.
Please test properly before rolling out new features like these; let some members
test them for you if there is no time on the dev.team.

- Importing orders
- Importing inventory
- Wanted lists
- Shopping carts
Does work:
- price guide
- updating database
Seems there's something blocking the software knocking on BL-doors....
