Hi all,

I'm new here and was just wondering if there are people on this forum who
would design a lego set for a fee?

If so please sent me a private message.

Does anyone know where to get digital copies of the instructions from the original
AFOL Designer program?? I have enough parts to build 2 of them, but cannot
find instructions. Thanks.

So, I am hoping to submit 2 design into BDP Series 5, and I have a question about
rendering. What typically captures more views, a rendering using the default
"building" light domain or using an HDRI image?

I may be getting too deep into changing out HDRI files in the render folder and
stylizing the renderings. (I like rendering and creating scenes because it is
almost like I am playing with the set). Is the preference to keep the renderings
simple? For example, which rendered image below is better for model presentation?

(The one with the orange hint is using the default "building" light domain
while the one with the blacker blacks and shinier bricks is a homebrew.)

Hi everyone,

I was trying to find some information on this, but I wasn't able to find
anything, hence my question.
So I am preparing my first submission for the next round of the BLDP, and I am
aware that I should use the most recent palette (5).

My question is that as there are no printed parts in this palette (eg. the Lego
News 2x2 tile), can we still use these or are these also a no-go? Also I have
some minifigures in the set idea, but none of the torsos are included in the
palette. Can we still submit these ideas as is (while including these printed
parts), or do we have to only use very generic and one coloured torsos in our
submissions? Looking at the winners of the previous BLDPs I can see they used
printed torsos etc, but I cannot find out how to only filter to those available
in the palette. I have 'Decorated Bricks On', but still, even if I choose
a torso from there it is listed as unavailable within the selected palette once
inserted.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help in advance!

Regards,
Zsofia

It appears that over the last few rounds of BDP, the designs picked all seem
to be around the themes of Medieval (inc. castles), Trains and the Seaside, sometimes
with an overlap (Medieval by the Seaside). These are beautiful but are becoming
repetitive.

Is it possible to have offerings from other themes, maybe branded themes like
Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc? I wonder what everyone else's thoughts are?

Hi,
Does anyone know, where can I find official prices of the BDP sets? Is there
some oficial list?
Are there differences between Europe/US ?

Thanks

The three sets that have sold out so far have reeled in almost $20,000,0000 if
they have a production max of 30,000 of each. I hope they see the demand for
castle is strong.

I have made purchase of a bricklink designer program set. The payment says pending
on paypal which is understandable but I have not received a confirmation email
nor has my lego account updated with the order. Is this normal for pre ordering?

I have submitted a miniature Mountain Fortress for the BDP series1minibuild competition.

I messaged about it 7 days ago, because it wasn't getting aproved.

Now its still not aproved, 11 days from its first submission.

Another mini Mountain Fortresses posted 13 hours ago was approved,
and the only mini Mountain Fortresses from the 34 submitted, that are still not
aproved are:
one published 2 weeks ago, because it didn't contain the reauired tag,
another 10 hours ago and mine!

At the time of writing, there were only 8 newly submitted, still waiting for
approval submissions in the series 1 builds range.

I am asking for any type of information regarding my submission, as soon as possible,
because if I have to submit it again, for whatever tehnical error possibly on
the Bricklink server, I will have to do it before the end date TODAY.

I apologise for emphasising the need for an immediate respose from yourselves,
due to the impending submission cutoff.

Here is the submission:
https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/design.page?idModel=509106

Any feedback would be gatefully received.

With thanks and kind regards.

I have submmited a miniature Mountain Fortress for the BDP series1minibuild competition,
and have now waited 6 days for approval without any progress, not even a part
list.

It didn't even get any views! (Existing views are my own)

Other mini Mountain Fortresses posted later than mine were approved long ago.

I reposted it yesterday, but still nothing going on.

The build's size is: 5.5 x 10.5 x 7.5 studs and built with 111 pieces, both
within the maximum requirements.

Keeping strictly to the BDP Series 1-4 Palettes' parts and colours and is
fully buildable in real life, as per the requirements, including enabling 'partial
access'.

Has this item been correctly submitted?

I am asking for any type of advice, because I would really like to enter into
the competition but the end date is fast approaching.

Here is the submition:

I started collecting the parts to the Wild West Saloon (BL19004-1) but discovered
that there are no instructions online. The lego instruction app also doesn't
have them. Would anyone on here be willing to take some photos or make a video?

I'd love to build it but there doesn't seem to be instructions anywhere.

Thank you!

Hello,

Will it be possible to order BL Designer program sets coming 2024 from Lithuania?
Previously it was not possible (although Latvia - neighbors was able to).
Btw from shop.lego.com you can order and ship to Lithuania.

Looking forward to reply

Hi,
The terms of ideas state the period of rights ownership following expiry or deletion
of an ideas submission is 3 years.

Given that Bricklink is owned by LEGO, are you allowed to delete your ideas submission
and submit it for the BDP?

Happy building!
~Matt
