Hi, How do I set up so I see all prices INCLUDING VAT or SALES TAX. When searching
through the catalogue I would logically pick let´s say the first 5 parts based
on the cheapes only to realyse upon checkout they were shown excluding VAT which
is +20% .. this would actually put them in the middle of the results. Showing
prices without VAT is illegal in Slovakia and I guess it´s illegal all over EU.
How can there be prices shown without VAT mixed with prices that are total? Is
it a problem on BL side? I am in EU as buyer my location is EU I am not a company
nor do I have VAT registration to buy excluding VAT yet I see these prices in
the catalogue. This is very missleading and just costs me time to now open 3
carts with the same products and ONLY AFTER I go to CHECKOUT the VAT is added...

ALL PRICES SHOULD BE INCLUDING TAX. At least for EU. And if you area company
you will just get the tax cut at the checkout not the opposite way around.

How could you not need more Lego?

Exactly. I have a hard time ONLY spending £5

Somebody else here coined the BrickLink phrase "Need 1, buy 12"
and I have always tried to live up to that. haha

Or you can choose a different store that doesn't have a minimum buy.

Hi,
This is a question you can ask directly to the seller. Some sellers will allow
it with a small packing charge but there are many sellers without a minimum purchase.

6% of feedback left by this buyer is negative (which is unheard of over so many
transactions).

The funny part is that as a seller, they have a history of sending out dodgy
parts and then making excuses in their feedback replies.

They will be the 10th person added to my stoplist in 20 years.

Popsicle was teasing me just last week about why I have so many people (already)
on my stop list and it's because I try to really dig in to these stories.

Don't recall that conversation "teasing" or otherwise. Can you point
to it? For my own sanity

I was raised as a photojournalist in my early early career, so i'm always
asking questions and wanting to know more. I found the same statistics you did
and was absolutely amazed they had so few "retaliatory" negatives.

I incorrectly shipped a BAM rerelease torso to a customer instead of the CMF
torso that was listed. An honest mistake and one that I apologized for repeatedly
and immediately refunded the buyer as soon as they pointed out the error. Now
they have opened a NSS case against me and are demanding that I ship them the
correct torso even though we do not have it in stock and have already refunded
them. What do I do here?

The buyer already attempted to negotiate the price of an element they already
received but failed to mention anything about the price of the element when they
made the purchase, only doing so just before receiving the refund for the missing
part. Buyer is also asking for a refund of $10 for the parts they felt were over
priced vs the market on top of sending them the correct torso they were already
refunded for.

Buyer has a 20+ year history on BrickLink and from reviewing their feedback,
they have the propensity, IMO, to leave negative feedback.

NOTE: Avg BL price is ~$3-5 USD, element in this color was released once as part
of a CMF, I have already adjusted the price down for the rest of the community,
I didn't realize it was over avg. Had the buyer approached this differently,
I most certainly would have too.

This is an ongoing NSS

Thank you for any input you may have on this, especially if AITA. I'm a one

I want to correct myself.

The "one dad show" I understand

Respectfully, you're part of the problem. That is, if you're actually
interested in correcting yourself, fellow one dad show?

To start, the hypocrisy is problematic. You're among those that hold that
a buyers responsibility within a transaction ends with payment, I assume:

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=927928

Sorry, but the short-sightedness is tiresome. So much so, that I find it difficult
to muster enough empathy for your current buyer predicament. We, all of us, reap
what we sow in the end. Suffice to say a buyers responsibility in the completion
of a transaction, does not end with payment

-popsicle

I'm sorry to see that you feel I'm part of the problem

Don't be sorry. You asked "If I'm the problem, I want to correct
myself" Which I assumed was an earnest statement.

but I believe you have taken my words out of context.

Always possible with me, and why I cancelled my post prior to your reply.

Of course the transaction does not end once the shipping begins. Both messages you posted are specifically referring
to sellers setting the status to completed. My point in both those messages were
that I feel as though it is up to the buyer to change that setting as they are
they only one that can truly say that a transaction is completed, not the seller
who does not know if they buyer is done yet.

So, with context, IMO, the last setting a seller should change the status to
is shipped. Nowhere did I say that that was the end all of a transaction.

No price adjustment, they agreed to the price when they bought it. You refunded
the torso, was any shipping refunded? You have done what you need to. Proof
of the refund should kill the NSS. The still have the right to leave negative
feedback as they aren't happy, even thou it was an admitted to mistake and
they were refunded. When they leave their feedback, respond to it honestly and
calmly.

They have every right to leave a negative, I fully agree. They asked for item
X, I shipped Y, was alerted to the error and immediately refunded the price of
X, since multiple other items were purchased with the order and the buyer did
not state that "this was the reason for the purchase" there was no refund
for shipping issued. Honestly, I do not understand that concept. If I buy something
form Walmart online and they are out, they refund me. Walmart doesn't buy
the item from Target and then ship to me nor do I expect them to issue a refund
on shipping since there were other items purchased.

My larger concern is that this user feels it is okay to use the NSS tool as a
form of extortion because they were not satisfied with the price of a completely
different item they purchased and were disappointed in after the fact, buyers
remorse. This is sprung because I ignored their request for a refund on parts
Z which they felt were overpriced.

The timeline goes like this:

Buyer: There was a problem with item X and three sentences concerning items that
had no issues.

Seller: Refunds the price of X immediately and apologizes twice for the error
but does not reference the buyers request for a refund after the fact on non-related
items.

Buyer: Replies to seller concerning why they did not respond to the request for
a refund on part Z and opens an NSS case for part X that has previously been
refunded.

Seller: Replies to NSS with statement about refund being previously provided.

Buyer: Continues tirade about parts Z, demands part X be shipped to them.

IMHO, users should not be able to use the NSS as a form of hostage negotiation
because they are upset about something in the order unrelated to the actual issue
at hand. I feel as though this user is doing that and from reading their feedback,
I'm not the first one they have tried to do this to.
