It feels like we only just announced the news of our collaboration with the LEGO Group, but here we are, with the submission phase of the AFOL Designer Program officially over. Thank you for your passion and commitment in creating unique designs with truly original themes! We are just blown away by all the entries we’ve received. We will be sharing fun tidbits from behind-the-scenes as we begin the selection process.
What happens during the design selection process?
The AFOL Designer Program team will hold an initial review for all submitted AFOL designs. Each submission that passes the initial review will undergo a feasibility test. We will then make final selections before onboarding designers. You can view the current status of the design selection process on the AFOL Designer Program landing page.
When does crowdfunding begin?
We will announce selected AFOL designs before crowdfunding officially begins February 2019 so that you have a chance to think about which designs you want to support. Successfully crowdfunded designs will become a limited edition 60 Years Anniversary set exclusively available on BrickLink. More details about how crowdfunding works will be announced as the date gets closer.
