Hi

I recently sold a Davey Jones figure, the buyer has received the figure and believes
it to be fake. I have no reason to disbelieve the buyer, he has plenty of feedback
and has been extremely reasonable throughout but I checked where I got the figure
from when I purchased it some time ago and don’t believe that seller is selling
fakes.

I was wondering whether anyone on the forum might have the same figure to hand
and therefore might be willing to compare the image I have with the one the buyer
has sent. If so I would be very grateful if you could get in touch with me.

I would really appreciate your help with this!

Thank you,
Gary

Hi,

Why don’t you show us the picture anyway?
At this moment I do not have the minifig but I had a few so with a picture I,
or someone else, can help you.
These minifigures are a bit more difficult due to different use of materials
and od shapes.

Hi Gary,

I think your buyer might be right.
I do not see the word ‘Lego’ on the stud of the torso, also not on the legs that
also look different in color and slightly different appearance.
The hat doesn’t seems to show a Lego trademark but this is more difficult to
see.
So, in my opinion this is a fake.
That is quite a loss.

The buyer is correct. It's a clone.

Yeah. Fakes of this one are on ali express.

These types of hairpieces are sometimes difficult but the torso and legs should
have been obvious.

Thank you everyone. I thought so but appreciate everyone’s time. I checked all
my other items from the same seller this morning and this was the only one. Obviously
this is good news but a shame I have to let the buyer down. Thanks again everyone.
