by Formysons (89)Hello, Set 6285 and other pirate sets were purchased for my sons in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area between 1991 and 2000. These sets are in my possession. Through a parts check I notice that I have printed and stickered 6 x 4 and 2 x 2 Jolly Roger flags. I note the 6 x 4 in the Counterpart items in the parts list for 6285 but not the 2 x 2 ones. I have 4 stickered 2 x 2 jolly roger flags. None of the sets or parts were purchased from resellers. The sets have been stored in bins since 2005. People in Lego Facebook groups quickly suggest that these stickered flags are reproductions and not legit items produced by Lego. This is not possible as all of the sets were purchased new at physical stores between 1990 and 2000. My family unit was not aware of "resellers" until I started collating the sets 7 months ago. Note: I cannot be sure if these stickered flags came from 6285 or 1492, 1889, 6257, 6270 (Pirate sets I have from the 1990's that contain the 2 x 2 jolly roger).
