| In the extra parts there is listed 1849pb01 as an extra included in this set
and that is not correct.
This piece is for the Indiana Jones minifig iaj049.
I found this out when someone bought the hats as extras, and I had to take my
full figs apart to sell them to the customer.
Please correct this in the system.

The online pdf for the instructions on the official LEGO website show that Indiana
Jones is assembled on page 74, and appears in the final set image, on page 121.
Who confirmed that there was an actual extra hat included with this set? Has
it been proven that a significant number of this set came with an extra hat included?
It might be a tribute to Indiana Jones having had a tendency to drop and have
to retrieve his hat. If that's intentional, and someone from TLG can confirm,
then yes this would indeed be an extra hat. Otherwise, there's a possibility
that it might just be a random extra hat.
Cheers ...

It has much more to do with the hat/hair combos showing up as Extras due to production
methods. See also:
Yes, our admin are extremely thorough and do check these things. And, sellers
are meant to check the actual items they put in their shops. Especially Extras
and Alternates.

| Hey if people got an extra hat per set they were lucky, I opened the others that
I got and none of them (10 total) had an extra hat.
I was just trying to help, and if this is not helpful then that's ok.
The extra pieces are usually lighter pieces, so that was why I was surprised
it was listed as an extra. But it appears that I have been overridden. I will
just part out into Brickstore so I can get remarks, and count pieces that way-
then doing it in Bricklink like I used to.
Thanks

it might be a factory based thing where sets boxed in certain factories get an
extra as opposed to some at random in general boxing
