I need to figure out how we are going to handle an alternate part in this figure
(and others) that was not found in the set you want to add it to. This may take
a bit to find a solution that works.

Thanks for the update! I will hold off on any more of these until the issue is
resolved.
I wonder how many members understand that most of the care taken with catalog
issues like this is really just making sure the part-out process still works
and doesn't create errors?

I need to figure out how we are going to handle an alternate part in this figure
(and others) that was not found in the set you want to add it to. This may take

I wonder if 4085c (which only is in 2 Cars inventories from 2011) could be a
mistake.
Both set 8639-1 and 8679-1 were inventoried by sealed set contents though.
Both had 4085d added later as alternate (source unknown).
Both inventories were confirmed by Stefaan (source sealed set), who also added
4085d to the catalog in 2010.
Maybe we could at least ask Stefaan to check the variants he has, so we might
know for certain 4085c came in these sets, IF his sets have this variant.

I can't longer check.
I sold this set 3 years ago (Nov '19).
I did the change for the 4085d, then it was on board. (Jul/Aug '12)

I don't think I have ever seen 4085c in any set past 2009 or 2010, i.e. I
believe many inventories from that time are still wrong regarding the 4085* variants.
If in doubt about 4085c, I would always remove it.
