| In English, we have a saying: "Garbage in, garbage out." The internet
is about 85-90 percent garbage. It's not AI it's AS (artificial stupidity)
which has been proven time and time again.
There is a person who is known worldwide that thinks his sycophants are intelligent
simply because they parrot everything he says. When humans or machines lack
critical thinking ability, they are not intelligent in any way, shape or form.
And most of the humans involved in this endeavor are not known for having critical
thinking skills, which is why so many websites, platforms (including this one),
apps, etc. don't work properly so much of the time.

Good idea.

Don't know about others, but I have a WL for every set I'm trying to
complete. I don't know how else I would manage to sort newly acquired pieces

I guess so, there's no automatic merge.
|
Can’t you select multiple files at once (multi-select in the file dialog)?
|
Don't think so.
For Importing orders yes, WL no.
| BS needs a level higher than just “inventory”: an inventory of inventories, with
a view (= virtual inventory) of the contents of the that super-inventory.
|
Sure!
Just do it
| Having multiple lists is not only useful to have multiple projects. It’s very
useful to have different levels of “want”: “absolutely needed now,” “needed,”
“useful,” “maybe,” “fillers….”
|
Yeah, like "Why not?" because you simply could buy every existing lot
on BrickLink?
And if you've 1000 lists and asking for e-mails when it matches, that's
maybe 50 000 or 100 000 lots for BrickLink to examine for every lot uploaded...
Plus the Buy all or such features which maximizes a thread for 5 or 20 seconds?
Maybe it's one of the reasons BrickLink struggles for resources. Like simply
watching a few hundreds shop pages and you get IP banned for the day
I'm not going to make friends here (again?), but I'd be BrickLink I'd
limit to 100 WL AND 10 000 total lots for example.

“You’re holding it wrong!” is a registred tradem— er, excuse! You can’t use
it!
| If you've multiple goals / builds, you could manage a single list in BrickStore,
and use the Comment or Remark field to describe which project it is.
Then merging 2 lists with Comments or Remarks will append them like : "Project1
Project2".
Otherwise one way would be to keep them as files, locally, and upload them only
when needed. It may save a bit BrickLink resources too

They can be used both in the Buy page¹ and in stores.
If you already need 3 stores for the most needed, add another list to see if
you get a better bargain. And then, once in the stores, use the other lists
to fill out the orders and reach the min buy / to fully take advantage of the
shipping costs.

¹ The Buy page allows to select multiple lists (and to (de)select individual
lots in your lists).

Hi,
It seems indeed a basic feature… but the only way to do that on the website is
to download the WLs and to upload them in the same destination WL.
Otherwise, as 1001bricks said, use BrickStore, or Rebrickable….

Speaking of which, I've been wondering for some time: Is there an easy way
to combine Wanted Lists in BrickStore? I'd like to have one list with all
the pieces I'm looking for, but the only way I see is download the lists
into seperate files, then open each file, select all, copy, paste to the common
list, rinse and repeat. With over 100 wanted lists that's a bit of a drag...

Yeah, it’s a reference to a André Pousse, an old French “bad guy” actor, who
said “just because it says ‘Benedictine’ on the john doesn’t mean it is,” about
what’s written in the newspapers
