I've got 11 pages worth of quotes that stretch all the way back to 2018,
which is 5 years ago now (dang...) and I've been wondering for a while: why
aren't quotes purged the same way orders are? One would think that quotes
aren't nearly as important as orders, yet these are saved for years upon
years while actual orders are purged every 6 months. (It should be the other
way around, in my opinion.)
Do sellers have the option to file old quote requests?

I actually like to be able to see past quotes. When a name or items seem familiar,
looking back to see the same person has requested the same quote (or others that
never materialized) in the past can let me know how much effort to put into the
new request.
Also when feeling quotes are a waste of time I can look to see what percentage
do in fact become orders.

Yah. Ours go back to the very start of quotes, in 2015 (22 pages now).

Quotes doesn't affect the Price Guide, so they never had the need to purge
them after 6 months.

Quotes doesn't affect the Price Guide, so they never had the need to purge
them after 6 months.
Older orders don't need to affect the price guide either if they only determined
averages based on the past six months.
I think the question should be why do orders still need to be purged after six
months.
