I want to say not a good part out, but realized I picked up 75358(x5) for $9
each.

Then do tell the other sellers it’s not good!  That way, your parts will be rarer
on BL

some of the lego star wars young jedi sets on sale at walmart and I'm trying
to figure out if i should get them. The characters in the set look relatively
different from regular star wars, having cute, bigger eyes, so i wonder if adult
collectors would still collect them.

Any thoughts or advice? I'm new to selling lego sets.

heres' some of the set #: 75358, 75332, 75384

If bought well enough below retail and you’re willing to have the money tied-up
longer term, then yes.

Otherwise, my advice to a fledgling seller here, is to have a good hard look
at the partout side of BL… Investment wise, you can do both

Becoming familiar with “Part Out Value” feature and “On Wanted List” numbers
for key parts within sets, is very helpful. Utilizing both in conjunction with
other input available on the site, is even more helpful in evaluating the potential
and more immediate gradual return on your money.

Taking the first set as an example; whole minifigs/minifigs parts, numbers

~ Best of luck

Hello,
Total novice here.
I’m a new seller and I have lots of new and complete used sets available for
sale.
Some of them are very heavy like the UCS Razor Crest.
I’ve got USPS Ground Advantage as my first shipping option. At the Post Office
they told me that is all I can use (other than priority)
Then I have UPS Ground as my second shipping option.
I set it up that way because I think UPS Ground is more affordable than USPS
Ground Advantage once you reach a certain weight so UPS is better for those heavier
sets.
Assuming I’m correct (and there’s certainly the chance I’m not), will Bricklink
choose the shipping option that is the least expensive per the weight of the
set?
What is the best way to get accurate shipping costs in advance of a sale?
Thanks.

Hi,

With much effort in the past 6 months,
I have operated my store. Coming from a very far away place, I'm sure most
of you have not heard of where I live.
I look forward to receiving your support.

Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Best Regards,
3BBricks - Saigon

I've noticed a few times buyers that leave feedback with other stores they've
bought from but not from ours. By no means do I think that we are doing an inadequate
job and the praise we do receive is wonderful so I am not trying to sound greedy
I just want to know what sellers do to increase their likelihood of buyers leaving
them feedback.

Do you send out a message asking for them to leave it?

Do you include a note in the order itself seeking it?

I have left feedback with them already but haven't received anything back,
we are still a fairly small operation, but I am confident that I am doing a great
job in quickly getting orders out and packaging contents safely and well so just
wondering if I need to be more bold about how I approach receiving praise from
others because it would help our store greatly!

None of the above, Samantha

I once read here in the same forum, reply to a similar yet still common
concern hereabouts. It went something like "Are you here for the feedback
or sales?"

Never offered reply myself at the time, to what was an obvious provocative postulation.
Maybe you'd like take this opportunity to answer that probative question
yourself? If not aloud here, maybe quietly within your own thoughts

  Need some opinions...

When you get an order and ship it out, do you print out their order and put it
in the package, and if so do you use color or black and white. Or do you not
even put one at all? Currently, I print out one sided black and white and was
told by my significant other that looks bad and cheap. Thoughts?

IMO, from someone who has ordered from you "hahaha" knowing that the
seller went the extra step to print out the order and check it and included it
with the order lets me know they at least check their orders or double check
before they mail it (i didn't find it looked bad or cheap if that helps).
i think if someone doesn't want it they should leave that in the comment
box when putting the order in. i don't know if my comment means much but
i figured i would put my 2 blocks in.

Yes sometimes, often, buyers are the sellers garbage collectors.

This was actually the LEGO packets, that you are supposedly meant to include
to be complete!

I received recently as packing material:

* empty toilet paper rolls,
* an empty handkerchief box,
* newspapers from everywhere,
* empty shoes box,
* empty eggs containers, and MANY weird up to disgusting things.

I was watching an ebay reseller a couple of weeks ago and they suggested egg
trays as a good filler. They said it was as they are relatively light but strong,
so a good way to fill space in a box that is too big.

I print out the orders, Because the last thing I want to do when I come home
from work is staring at another screen all day.

I use to print black and white until I realized it cost the same to print in
color with HP ink program. So I print in color.

mhm the most random stuff gets included a recent order had half an egg carton
in it 😭😭. The only non brand new things I use for packing are shipping boxes,
packing paper/bubbles and cereal boxes (since the box just holds a bag so never
is dirty

Sellers, put the minimum but clean brand new recycled / recyclable materials
in your packaging.

Buyers are NOT recycling what you should do yourself.

What a bizarrely polarizing issue. This is fascinating.

I am cutting and pasting this from a store's actual terms:

"I do not put an invoice in the package and will not print one to put in
with your order even if you request it. It is available online and a waste of
ink, paper, and shipping weight. If this is an issue, do not order from me."

Whaaaaat???

A bit harsh Terms, but I'm fine with this, Climate etc.

You would prefer to turn a buyer away instead of printing a page or 2 or 3?

I don't know, I never print orders or invoices and neither provide printed
invoice.
Nobody EVER asked me a printed one, in what 18 years?

If one of my shipments should ever fall off the truck and land in a ditch, within
a few years the only thing that would be left would be a pile of the bricks themselves.
I use biodegradable tape, bubble inserts and mailers; however I am switching
soon to a new product I found which is mailers made from ocean plastic.

I have a place nearby that takes all of the numbered bags from the sets, but
I started using them for packing instead of poly bags to reduce my poly bag footprint...
But now I'm considering finding a solution for that because I realize not
all buyers may live in a place that can recycle (or they don't care to) the
#2/4/7 bags. So all I'm doing is shipping the stuff to an out of state landfill.

Side note, I saw a youtube video yesterday unboxing the forthcoming Harry Potter:
The Arrival set and they had what looked like paper bags inside. If true this
makes my heart swell with joy
