I picked up this part today and after cleaning it up I was about to put it on
my store but did not see a Lego logo anywhere on it. Anyone know if these parts
normally have the logo or not?

Thanks. I probably picked up a knock-off but it's a good one - the print
is spot-on the same. Thanks for the info!

Do you have any photos of this part? Does it have a molding streak down the back
of the part?

My pre-2011 armor pieces all have this streak. The 2011 chestplate does not.

Here are the best pics I can muster at the moment. Not sure why they loaded sideways.

I think it has to do with the dimensions of the image. The forum prefers landscape.

The forum doesn’t rotate images.  It only rescales them if they are above 640
pixels in width.
(And it doesn’t care about height, so, in a sense, you could say it actually
prefers portrait )

What happens is that the camera (generally a phone with an eaten fruit logo on
it) doesn’t correctly set the orientation field in the image file (standards
are for other people).  So when you open the pic on another device or application,
the orientation is “wrong.”

This part is pretty expensive, so anything is possible.

Here’s the print on mine. The eye print is a little different.

It might still be a genuine LEGO part. Please post a photo so it can be identified
properly. Older versions of this part from long ago aren't as highly detailed
as parts released recently.

Whenever TLG uses a mold that hasn't been used in a long time, they update
the mold, if it did not previously have identifying information it gets added.

Cheers ...
