I think we already had a thread about that.
The multipack has a colour in the inventories it’s in, so it shows correctly
(example https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=75894-1 ).
And when you follow the link to the multipack’s page, it’s in the correct colour
(example https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=18978&idColor=1#T=P&C=1
).
But then, when you look at the inventory of the multipack, the colour isn’t used
/ propagated, because the parts do have a colour in that inventory: the Not Applicable
colour.
There’s an image in the popup (when you click the (non-)image) because the popup
show a default image (not the colour of the part in the inventory, except by
happenstance).
If you follow the link to one of the parts, it propagates the Not Applicable
colour that’s in the inventory and, therefore, there’s no image either.
