| I have had several sources (including store staff) verify that these 2 sets are
fake and do not actually exist. Each was listed once on eBay a few months ago
(by the same seller) and it was said from my sources that these are most likely
custom printed and not legit. Can this be proven differently by anyone here?
Otherwise I would suggest to remove these entries from the catalog.
Thanks,
-Paul

Notice that the above two do not have the numbering on them showing how many
were given out, whereas all of the ones below do have it. That seems odd.

Seems odd right, but it would be pretty hard too to copy the background carton
and change the text while maintaining everything else of the design exactly.
The plastic blister can come from on of the other stores.
Also there is no part count or description, but that is a common difference
between USA/EU packaging.
Attached a couple I found quickly without number.
Also this post suggest that the ones without number are a test:

Thank you for all of that. I think I have seen enough for now to keep them in
the catalog.

| Yes, employee (unnumbered) versions are common for several of the single minifig
releases (I have 2 myself), but I have never seen a store that has had ONLY an
employee version.
A few of my sources were employees from these stores that said these do not exist/were
never given out to them or any employees they know.
Keep in mind still that the Utrecht employees were trained by other employees
from the UK (I forget if they were from Southampton), and the eBay seller of
these two (the only person to have them) was in the UK, so if there was something
given away, it is possible that is how the seller obtained them.
I have seen the photo of the Utrecht minifig's back with the print so that
is at least some evidence. As someone who uses Photoshop professionally I can't
rule out the packaging insert being faked. The Utrecht minifig is also comprised
of common/already cataloged parts, and the Southampton minifig is the exact same
as the Lake Grove NY release...and I have never seen a grand opening minifig
re-used (aside from the 3 from the 6 2011 store tour), so that is cause for concern.
I believe the consensus among some big collectors is that these are fake, so
I am truly unsure what to think.
