Hello,
Customer placed an order and it appears the Paypal paymnet "bounced"
or something.

Bricklink thinks its paid, paypal says its not. so I would like to cancel it.
Obviously I cannot refund money that wasn't paid so what's the next step?

Also note, I put in a ticket with Bricklink but wondering if this fine community
has dealt with this before?

With the edit order button you can change the payment status as none.
Maybe you need to reject the payment on PayPal first.

Thank you for posting. I hope more people post so we can get this looked at and
find a solution. Many people seem to think it is Echecks but none of my buyers
have paid that way they say. Even if it was an echeck the payments usually cancel
out within 24 hours and echecks need a few days to clear or not clear.

Yes, I don't think e-check is even something you can choose any more while
paying - it seems like PayPal just turns a payment it believes to be "risky"
into something like an e-check.

So what was the solution? I have an order like that that Bricklink says isn't
actually paid yet and gives me the e-check warning. The buyer responds to messages
saying that they can pay tuesday, then friday, etc. But I don't have the
option to cancel the order or submit a non-paying buyer. Im not sure what to
do.

Change the payment status to bounced and the order status to pending or ready.
Then you should be able to cancel. Go to paypal verify the payment status says
cancelled. If not, choose to void the payment.
