Opened on 24.11.2024 a sealed box of 71042 and found only:
2530 - Minifigure, Weapon Sword, Cutlass / Saber with Small Hilt - Black -- 3 + 1 extra = 4 (miss 1 extra part)
2530 - Minifigure, Weapon Sword, Cutlass / Saber with Small Hilt - Dark Bluish Gray -- 2 + 1 extra = 3 (miss 1 extra part)

Extra parts can vary depending on production run and factory. Two extra swords
for each color were found in some copies of this set, therefore the inventory
is correct as is.

Not better to correct inventory to 1 extra sword case? Because in case I do an
automatic part-out extra items included, I add with current BL inventory list
probably 1 extra sword to my inventory I finally don't have. With only 1
sword in BL inventory list, I'am on the save side.

That's why this is at the bottom of every BrickLink inventory:
"Disclaimer: BrickLink does not guarantee an inventory to be correct
and therefore an inventory should be only used as a guide."
If you are just blindly parting out sets and not checking your actual quantities
of parts on hand, then the fault is unfortunately yours.

In addition to the other replies:
If you part out a set with extra parts, you should check that the extra parts
are actually included in your set - otherwise don't part out the set with
extras. There is never any guarantee that the extra parts listed on BrickLink
are included in every single copy of a set - that why they are called extras.
