Part No: 87585 Name: Minifigure, Utensil Oar / Paddle Reinforced
*
87585 Minifigure, Utensil Oar / Paddle Reinforced
Parts: Minifigure, Utensil
I found a new variant of this part in set 42626. See photos of old (reddish brown)
and new (lavender) variants. Both variants have the number 87585 molded in them.
I noticed the following differences:
1. Two holes in the new version; none in the old version.
2. The edges of the cutout with the sprue mark look a bit steeper on the new
version.
3. The Lego logo and mold number are on the same side as the sprue mark in the
old version; they are on the opposite side in the new version.
Should this new version get a new catalog entry or just have a note added to
describe the difference?

Can you attach something to the holes? Like mini pins from headgear accessories.

The pins are a little bit too thick for the holes. But if you push hard enough
they will go into the holes.

Looks longer too.  And maybe even wider?  (But the latter may be a trick of the
colour.)

It does look longer by maybe 1mm.

It appears a bit longer in the photo because of the camera angle. They are the
exact same length.

It appears a bit longer in the photo because of the camera angle. They are the
exact same length.

It's been decided not to split, for there are no functional differences.
